Holiday Inn Club Vacations Villages Resort at Lake Palestine

The property was nice as well as our unit. Very comfortable. The main pool was nice, enjoyed the mini golf and they had plenty of games and activities.

The property has four pools, however we were put in the presidential units located near the marina. If you wanted to go swimming, you had to get in your car and drive down the highway back to one of the pools. I also did not appreciate the high pressure sales push to invest in there timeshare. I paid full price and had no interest in purchasing. Once I made it clear the 2nd time, i did not hear from them for the duration of our stay. Water park on property is extra.

With coming from GA, I forgot about the time change. I called the resort to see if it was okay to be on property until the rooms were ready and when we arrived at the resort at 12:30pm our rooms were ready instead of waiting until 4 pm. The resort had a lot of free things for kids to do on property from Putt Putt Golf, arts craft, many playgrounds to choose from,2 full court basketball, arcade, and board games. When you check in, they give you a schedule of all the activities going on during your stay. The food was great, especially at the Grill restaurant.

The resort has an issue with spiders and grasshoppers/ crickets on the outside of the building. I suggested to the resort front desk that having someone to pressure wash the building would help fix that issue. Hopefully, they will do it.

The location was very convenient. The resort had everything that we needed on site. Places to eat, drink, play and swim. They also had a variety of games that we could play indoors with our family. The 2br villa we stayed in was amazing and we had plenty of space for our kids to relax and have fun.

I wasn't too happy about the lengthy time of a presentation that we agreed to be involved in. The customer service reps were good, I just felt that it was a bit misleading. We weren't prepared for the options that were presented to us and one of the managers became kind of pushy after we expressed that were not interested.

The place has all kind of fun activities to engage with the family: pool table, mini golf, arcade, horse rides, tennis and basketball courts, pools, and the great Waterpark. Plus the atmosphere is very peaceful and relaxing surrounded by nature.

Despite the cabin was extremely clean, it had a funny smell that wasn't unbearable but it could've felt more comfortable if it had a febreeze plug or just an aromatic candle. So we just made some coffee to help vanish the smell and that kind of helped to camouflage it.

Beautiful views. Multiple outdoor pools on property. The option to play other activities, they even offered movie night for the smaller children.. Rooms were big spacious and clean.

At the Grill, the one in the activity center. The food was a little salty. $15 burger that I couldn’t enjoy or couldn’t take back because they had already closed.

Everything was nice, could have been better walk ways was full of spider webs and bugs was every where and it could have been a little cleaner. But overall is was nice.

There was plenty of activities and amenities to keep everyone entertained. There were 4 pools, fishing, playgrounds, putt putt, and every afternoon there were activities for the children. The rooms were spacious and ours had a full kitchen. We had a 2 king villa. Both king rooms had a kitchen in it. One had a larger fridge then other. Bring extra cooking pans if you plan on cooking though. Two of the pools had zero entry and a mushroom waterfall. My kids ages 4,7,9 enjoyed have the different pools and beach. The beach is next one of the pool and has a beautiful view. The marina has fishing, kayaking, paddle boats and pontoon rentals. You can also fish off the dock or bring your own boat and rent a boat slip. There is a indoor waterpark onsite for extra fee.

My 9year old was set on going kayaking before we even arrived. Once we got to the marina they told us he had to be 14years of age to ride. Even the 2 person kayak had to both be 14years of age. He was very disappointed. I think that should have been listed on the papers and online so people are aware.

The property was clean and the staff was friendly. It was a also a very relaxing environment.

The water park on the property was not included in the price and it was closed during our stay. We were hoping to have some fun in the indoor water park but we couldn’t even use it. The water park is expensive.

We had an issue with our villa, but when we let the staff know, they got on it and helped us. Miles the supervisor was great. He made sure everything was taken care of. The location is perfect. Very relaxing. Lots of family activities to do. They have coffee, Ice cream shops and they also have pizza and a sandwich shop. Very friendly and attentive staff. My family had lots of fun!

I loved everything about this place! Room was spacious, clean, big & very nice! property was clean & well-kept. Lots of things to do on the property. We will be returning to stay again!

price was a little high, but I think it was probably during the peak season. would have stayed longer if price was better. Also weather was not so great, but plenty to do even if weather wasn't the best & we still enjoyed our stay!
