Wonderful Historic property with a great location close to the Strand and cruise terminal. Hosts greeted us upon arrival and gave us a tour of this beautifully renovated historic property. Our room was spacious and very clean. We decided to have dinner which was prepared by Chef Michael and was delicious as was our breakfast .. Highly recommend, we will return.

Graham and his staff made our stay wonderful . This place is beautiful and relaxing. Next time we will have dinner there. The breakfast was delicious. The bar was well stocked and Graham was a great bartender. The room was tidy and well laid out. We had everything we needed but not enough to stay longer. We will be back. This is a treasure of Galveston. Graham has done a great job of restoring this beautiful place.

I know how this seems like a very high review and possibly not true, BUT it was absolutely one of the best places we have stayed in years. A little biased maybe because I am English and so is the owner so the FULL English Breakfast was a really great surprise. Watched the Astros win world series in the Bar/Dining area with a full bar. Super nice people. Walkable to the strand.

Wonderful historic property! Beautifully updated and furnished - with amazing food, prepared by the proprietor / chef!! Large, unique room - comfortable bed. Friendly and accommodating staff!! Looking forward to our return!!

The house (manor) is beautiful, the room was very spacious (with a separate kitchen, living room and ample wardrobe/storage space) and the walk-in shower worked very well. I received timely information about accessing the room and we were able to leave our luggage in a specific room elsewhere after our check-out. The walk into town is easy and interesting, past other impressive houses. The staff we met were friendly and informative, the breakfast was delicious with lots of fresh fruit, pastries and jams/marmelades. Hot breakfasts can also be ordered. We didn’t eat dinner at the Manor but I have the impression that it would be delicious.

The room was a little dusty in places but this is to be expected in an old building. The rods of some of the blinds didn’t work anymore so we couldn’t change their angle to prevent more sunlight from coming in in the morning, but this was a minor issue too. I would happily return and recommend the George Manor to others.

This discovery was truly remarkable—an exquisite location for embarking on cruises from Galveston. The proprietors are truly exceptional individuals, possessing a wealth of knowledge encompassing not only the rich history of this esteemed hotel but also insights into cruise destinations. Engaging in a conversation with them before finalizing any excursion plans would undoubtedly prove valuable. Complementing their hospitality, they extend the courtesy of providing complimentary transportation to the check-in entrance. Having had the privilege of visiting numerous hotels for both business and leisure, I can attest that the owners stand out as among the most pleasant and authentic individuals I've had the pleasure of encountering.

During my brief stay, there was nothing I found displeasing. Being a vintage establishment, it's important to anticipate a charming ambiance that carries a nostalgic aura. The rooms offer comfort and include all necessary amenities, although it's worth noting that the historical rooms retain an older appearance and ambiance.

The “Manor”was an outstanding experience The “owners”made us feel welcomed and like long time friends. The “Historic” property has all the charm expected in a luxury Bed & Breakfast and all amenities expected in a high end resort. Galveston is a must see vacation spot and there is no better place to stay than “The George Manor”. It’s in the heart of the Historic District yet close  to all the fun on the Beaches and fun shopping. Thank you Lord Graham, Lady Valerie, Michael and Rosie for our “Best ever” vacation. PS: the two awesome “Chefs” pampered us with delicious meals. Thank you Doug & Sharon

Absolutely beautiful property and the staff were exceptional. I will stay with them every time we visit Galveston. Their chef has to be mentioned as well.... absolutely incredible.

The style and history of the hotel. Chef Michael and his wife were amazing. Very great experience for our first time. The hospitality was exceptional.
