Breakfast was satisfatory. Nothing inedible. Gracious hostess, adorable granddaughter, decor was warm, tasteful, elegant, and in some cases extraordinary. Christmas decorations were warm, ample, and delightlful. You certainly will be impressed with the ambience, setting - great old Galveston neighborhhod with other magnificently restored Victorians all around - and the congenial hostess. There also was an outdoor heated pool which we didn't have time to use, and a beautiful garden. We loved our room, which according to our hostess was a gratis upgrade, perhaps because we were the only guests. The room was truly amazing, with a gas-lit fireplace, high ceilings (at least 12 ft, maybe 14). Each room has its own screened-in balcony with comfy chairs. Very comfortable adjustable mattress. Room supplied with water and champagne.

Breakfast: pancakes not too tasty, quantity of food marginal. Very pleased with the crispy bacon. Ordinary scrambled eggs per our request as poached were not in the wheelhouse of our hostess, although had her husband been there they may have been an option. One bulb out in bathroom. Given that we received an upgrade, we presumably paid less for our room than the rate it normally commands. But even at the discounted rate, the price was quite steep, and I would say many travelers might regard the value as stressed. There were many plusses, as noted, and probably some I've omitted. But whether you'll believe you received proper bang for your buck is an open question. Close to $300 for one night, all in.

The house was beautiful and while it had the old world decor, it was not shabby or musty like many. The facilities compliment the age of the house, but are in great working order and comfortable for the modern traveler. The gardens and pool are fantastic! Also, best night's sleep I've ever had in a historic BnB! GREAT bed - most BnB beds are lumpy and too hard or soft. I can't say enough about the whole experience! Well worth the price and someplace we will return to again and again! So pleased to have found it.

Literally nothing!! Maybe parking on the street but that's everywhere in Galveston. If you came to see the ocean from your window, this isn't it. If you came for old Galveston charm, beautiful accommodations and a friendly, helpful staff - this is the place.

First of all, the place was pristine. Everything was in mint condition and spotless. As soon as I got there, I was greeted by the owner who gave me a tour and told me all about the history of the house. It has all the creature comforts you’d want in modern times but it also offers a gorgeous, antique environment. I had to leave before breakfast, but she had even offered to cook me something gluten free (totally unexpected and appreciated). The private balcony was divine and I had a fabulous view of the pool. The backyard is well kempt and well landscaped. Can’t say enough. Will return.

I would prefer personal bars of soap that are individually wrapped. However, she did offer upscale soaps and her way is probably better for the Earth, so not a big complaint at all.

I liked the history and the resilience of the Galvestonians! The B&B was built in 1907 and had all original fixtures and was beautifully decorated and spotless. Our room was spacious and had all the comforts of home! The owner, Pam Fleetwood, was an excellent host. Full breakfast each morning and she knew the area and suggested some great dining options. We will return!!

If you’re a Galveston history buff, as I am, you will never find a more perfect stay. Just a block away from Ashton Villa, it feels like you’re stepping back in time to a Victorian socialite’s lifestyle. From the decor, to the preservation of the home, to the gardens, and even the use of fine China for breakfast. Everything was perfect and stunning. The owners truly know how to host their guests without being stuffy or overwhelming. We will return again and again.

The breakfast was amazing and we were perfectly located near the beach, sites, and restaurants.

The place was amazing and it all stems from the pride and care that the owner has taken to bring this house to life. You get a true sense of the house’s history with every modern convenience woven seamlessly in. Pam is a wonderful host and a 5 star cook. We are making this a new tradition.

The house is INCREDIBLE, super clean, it looks just like a museum, amazing breakfast. Pam was super nice and gave us champagne for our Anniversary and super cute flowers in our room. My girlfriend and I enjoyed every second there, we really wanna come back. There is a heated pool, super private, fireplace, balcony and GREAT BREAKFAST (also you can have sodas or water 24/7)

This historic home is lavishly decorated in circa 1900, the garden area and pool are beautifully landscaped. Pam, the owner and proprietor, is a gracious host who goes out of her way to make your stay enjoyable.

everything, the owners/hosts were amazing. gave us a tour of the house, recommendations for dinner and made an amazing breakfast. we were able to park our car on site and they took us to and from the cruise terminal. will definitely be staying here from now on for our cruises.
