I wasn't able to stay at the facility because it did not have an elevator. Would have given them a 10 if they had one. My wife and I are not able to use stairs due to medical reasons and I had to seek out another facility for us to stay at. The gentleman at the front desk was great, hospitable, professional, and very apologetic that the facility was not able to accommodate my wife and I.

The only complaint I have is there needs to be an elevator for those of us who cannot use stairs.

Some areas have been renovated, others are a little outdated. Location is a bit far from downtown, restaurants and activities.

The checkin in and location. And the check out was easy, too. Mr. Lee was helpful. We did however have a surprise expense, which we didnt know about until check in. We were leaving on a cruise and were leaving our car there for our 14 days cruise. Turns out the 1st week is free, but, the second week cost about $50. Something new. We have stayed at the Scottish inn 4 times since we started cruising out of Galveston.

Surprise extra cost. I am disabled and it is difficult to walk up stairs to the second floorBut, I understand why a second and third floor. Due to the location of the motel to hurricanes, etc. Seems like a a pretty solid place, too. Will book again with them in the future.

Breakfast was ok even though i was looking for waffles and eggs & sausages, i like were the pool was in front were we stayed at the worker had good hospitality!!

Well it was old water bottle left in the drawer and the bed mattress need to be spray off before putting clean sheets on them i seen a few little bugs on the bed it was hard for me to tell wha they were i was gonna go complain about it, but my husband told me no we will go buy some bug spray tomorrow so tha wha we did spray the bed and put sheets back on after tha i slept comfortably tha next night cause i couldn't go to sleep tha first night wen i seen them few bugs on the bed it scared me.

I needed a place for the night prior to embarking on a 14-day cruise. The accommodation was clean and quiet, and the parking was included -- that was the clincher, so it exceeded my expectations. BL: I got what I for. If I was taking my wife (she's picky and needs a more modern, up-to-date place, then I would have been willing to pay 2-3 times as much and expectations would have been much higher. But my criteria is different so this was fine. I hear they may start charging for parking, if so, that will change where I stay in the future, but until then it's The Scottish Inn without a doubt

It was all fine and commensurate with the price.

Free cruise parking with stay. Room had everything we needed. They have shuttle service that can take you to cruise port for a fee. Friendly staff. We were very happy with the value of our stay.

Next time I will bring my own pillows. The ones they have are thin. We are headed there today for a cruise and are staying there tonight.

This is an older building, you can tell they’re trying to update it. The beds are very comfortable and the room was clean. The people at the front desk are so friendly and helpful. You can walk to the ferry and ride it for free, usually seeing dolphins. There is a nature preserve nearby as well.

The building is very old and a little run down in spots. Although no fault of the motel, if you’ve never stayed in Galveston before, take a case of bug spray and douse yourself! Those mosquitoes are huge and aggressive.

It was beautifully updated. Also the best location for our purpose. We were staying near the docks to go on a cruise the next day. What a deal to be able to park our car at the hotel for a week—FREE! We were able to catch our shuttle to the docks right there at the hotel and were picked up upon our return. We hopped on the Ferry right beside the hotel and within minutes, we were on our way home. A delightful experience and we WILL be back!

Breakfast choices could use improvement.

My son told me to make sure and post a great review. After reading some of the reviews, I was reluctant to stay at the Scottish Inn but so glad that I did. It is definitely an older building but it was very clean and no carpet! Reminds me of mom and pop places we stayed growing up. The staff was super nice and the location is literally right off of the ferry. If I'm ever in Galveston again I will not hesitate to stay again. It's not the Ritz but suited our needs.

staff was very nice. TV didn’t work in first room, but was able to move to another easily. was able to leave the car parked there while on a cruise. Had a service available to bring and pickup us up from the cruise terminal.

All rooms are on second floor, but understand as it is so close to the water. Rooms are a little outdated, but very clean and spacious.
