This is by far the most handicap accessible 2 or 3 star hotel I've stayed at in Huntsville! The parking lot was very flat and even. All the ramps were very much in compliance with ADA specifications and were very easy to go up and down in a manual wheelchair. The entire property has hardwood floors, so it is very easy to rollate over. There is no additional drag from thick carpet like at most budget hotels. Also, there was an elevator! All the rooms are accessible from the interior of the building. So it's nice to know that even if there wasn't a handicap room available, a disabled person could still easily access rooms on either floor. There were no automatic doors, but the main entrance was pretty easy to access. However, the side doors are very heavy and fairly difficult to go through. The handicap room with two queens wasn't overly spacious, with a lot of the floor area taken up by two beds but was sufficient to move around with in a full-size wheelchair. The bathrooms, on the other hand, were very spacious and wheelchair accessible. Once again, just like the common areas, the entire room is hardwood floors. As a final note, the parking lot was extremely well lit at night. I had no issues with anyone tampering with my truck or ice chest in the bed.

The only negative to the whole experience is that I booked a king handicap. When I got to the property, the clerk informed me they had sold out of the king handicap rooms, and he was putting me in a double queen handicap room. I'm not sure if this was a problem on bookings side or the hotel side. My guess is they sold my room type to someone else either, not thinking I would actually show up or that I wouldn't mind the room type change. My suggestion would be to call the property ahead of time and to make sure they block your room type. Having the extra bed in the room was a hindrance because it took up a lot of floor space. Also, the beds were very hard and uncomfortable. It was very much akin to sleeping on a futon with a thin mattress.

I chose this hotel for the convenient location near to the interstate and HUNTSVILLE - the latter is 2 hours east of AUSTIN and about the same north of HOUSTON - the hotel is quiet, clean and the room was a very good size with private parking outside. There are a couple of restaurants nearby with one a walking distance if you fancy and what looked like a fast-food bar if you fancy but I did not try this. The hotel is approximately 10 mins from the Sam HOUSTON Museum (recommended) and the same for the TEXAS prison museum (also recommended) - the hotel is great value for money

Nothing really apart from the rain outside

Very easy for a traveler to get to find and very close to SHSU or anyplace in Huntsville, plenty of parking, clean inside and out, easy check in and my room was very comfortable. Although essentially on the highway, while inside I never heard roadway sounds.

At “rush hour”, the highway access traffic light makes it difficult to get out of the parking lot to get to the highway (weekend departures may be different, but I left during the week).

i consider this property the best in Huntsville and will stay at no other. very clean! rooms look great. beds are comfy as are the pillows. no carpet which I prefer. Staff was nice. did I mention how clean it was!!? I didn’t stay for breakfast but it smelled good. i don’t think there was an ice bucket in the room. Overall, excellent, in my opinion. this was my second stay at this location and won’t be my last.

I liked that the hotel looked recently renovated. I was pleased with our room. Towels were a bit thin but were clean. Fridge was colder than any other we've used in hotels and the a/c was colder than most of our stays in hotels too.

Only complaint was towels were thin and small

The hotel look like it had just been completely redone everything felt new and fresh. Check in was easy checkout was easy and our room was very comfortable. they did have a refrigerator and microwave in the room.

Be prepared for a true continental breakfast - there was fruit and cereal and juice. they did have a waffle maker though.

One of the register people needs to know HOW to talk to people so that they feel welcome. He wasn't rude, he just hasn't had any training on how to say, Hello, or have you had a nice trip, or do you have a reservation? Niceities!

this was the second time at this hotel. very clean rooms with interior corridors. staff very friendly and helpful.

location convenient for i45 but very few amenities near the hotel. only a gas station and burger place. need to travel to next intersection for more choice.

We had a lovely breakfast in the morning we stayed warm! We went to go see the lights at Carolina Christian Creek camp. However the power kept going out every 30 minutes so it’s sad to watch a movie

Overnight help was a bit rude to the elderly customers. Also-a lot of hotels leave the coffee pots so that guests can enjoy-at least throughout the morning. He removed coffee right at 9:00am
