This is a straight-forward but very comfortable and clean hotel in the center of things. It is my go-to place when passing through Lubbock. The staff is accommodating and the hotel is generally very quiet.

The interior pool is both shallow and cold. You can turn on the spa jets, which start throwing off some warmth, but you'll need to run them for a while before stepping unless you like a cold plunge. While I was there, trying to acclimate to the water, a person came in, saw me shivering, and decided they didn't want to deal with the cold water.

We liked that the room was very clean, the only thing is that there’s no privacy when using the bathroom. The door doesn’t close properly. That’s my only complaint. I hope you can fix that and ratings will go up, I promise. Texas Tech has a website for all parents to put their input on what’s the best place to stay, and it was the same thing over and over. The bathroom not having a working lock for privacy. :(

It’s new and clean.

There was real loud noises during the night. It appeared persons were fighting and there was foul language in the middle of the night. It was bit scary especially since it happened on and off. I thought someone from the hotel would have called the police but I am not sure that happened.

we enjoyed the convenience, location and the comfort of the Hyatt. complimentary breakfast. I can get a latte and parking is readily available. employees were very nice and thoughtful. room was clean and bed was comfortable.

when you first go into the building it smelled a little. they accept dogs and that may have attributed to the smell. once you went upstairs it was much better.

just the door of the bathroom does not have lock, we were 4 persons in the same room , even though we are family members we like to take a shower and restroom privately.

The room was very clean and the bedding was very comfortable. The university is within walking distance. The staff was very nice and willing to accommodate. I arrived at 6 am drove through the night for a university visit. The front desk allowed us to check out at 1 p.m. Even though check-out is at 11 a.m.

The location was excellent, good food and cleanliness were good. The room was quiet and comfortable and people were very friendly.

Traveling with a child I would like to say that having the bathroom door opaque was an issue. Not having a tub was also an issue for our child.

The pool was way too cold. It was uncomfortable. It kind of hurt it was so cold. The hotel seemed full and we were curious why no one else was ever at the pool… I think we know why after our experience.

Front desk staff was exceptional. Everyone was friendly and helpful. They even loaned us an HDMI cable so we could watch Netflix in our room. I also liked that hot breakfast was included. The location is close to campus and very convenient.

I was very impressed with the breakfast selection. The room was more than adequate dor 3 people and it was very clean. The staff was very professional and friendly. This was my first visit but I will be staying there in the future. I appreciated the indoor pool and exercise room.

I did not have any dislikes.
