Sandman Signature Plano-Frisco Hotel

Everything! This was a 4 night get away with my best friend and we LOVED the hotel. I’ve stayed in other hotels of this quality that were more than twice the price so it’s a great value. Highly recommend. Location: perfectly located for a visit to Plano, Frisco, McKinney area right off Hwy 121/Tollway so it’s a super quick drive to nearby cities, shopping and restaurants. Within walking distance, there is a large gas station/convenience store. Room: Roomy, very clean, updated and contemporary, super comfortable beds with wonderful bedding, large bathroom with large shower and tub, lots of storage, bathrobes, nice sized mini-fridge. Killer AC (we slept like babies)-it does automatically adjust higher when it senses you aren’t there during the day, but quickly cools down once you adjust it upon return. We loved the room and comfy beds so much we decided to spend plenty of time watching movies in the room and lazing about. Staff: Very friendly and helpful. Always smiling and saying hello and goodbye as you enter or leave. Parking: Plenty of well-lit spaces available. There are entrances on both side of the hotel so it’s always a short walk from the car to the hotel lobby. Food: There are two restaurants connected to the hotel. Breakfast isn’t included but you can order to-go boxes. There is a tea and coffee area in the lobby as well as lounge area/tv. Microwave also. Unrelated to the hotel, but I’m giving a shout-out to Olive Burger located within walking distance. It’s fast food, but really good. So good that we went twice in 4 days. Mediterranean leaning burgers/gyros/chicken. Great fries. Not healthy.. but yummy! The staff also awesome. They have 4 restaurants only located in the Dallas area. Security: Well-lit parking lots. Always felt safe and never worried about my car. Room key is required to use the elevators. Room doors have standard door lock and latch.

Nothing, but there are a couple things that others may want to know or be prepared for. Pool: Nice sized but it’s indoor so there’s no resort-type feel to this hotel. Toiletries: Though the room is well-stocked and housekeeping can supply most requests, they do not have bubble bath for their awesome tubs. Bring your own or use the shampoo like I did. 😊 Breakfast is not included or buffet all you can eat. Instead order a box to go or eat at one of the many restaurants located nearby.

The hotel was very modern and clean. Smells great as all the other reviews have stated. And it’s located close to all kinds of things, restaurants, waterpark, shops, etc. And best of all they have Starbucks coffee ready down stairs 24/7, at no extra cost (2 different brews, ground in their machine). Rooms where clean. And I also liked the added security that a keycard must be used to go up to guests rooms.

The front desk staff is a little snobby, but not too surprising considering the area the hotel is in. Also, the rooms are a bit small. As some other reviews stated, we couldn’t even fit the luggage cart through the door and the entryway into the room is very narrow. And believe the reviews when they say the pool is small!! It’s tiny!

The location was great, I did not eat breakfast because I had to be at work early that day. I used this location and hotel specifically for a birthday celebration for a special someone. Overall, the outcome of what I needed to utilize for the hotel exceeded my expectations. I will definitely book again in the future, thank you for all the great customer service and hospitality.

I found hair on my pillows, in the shower, and sink area. The A/C wasn't kicking on at first and I found out that it takes a minute to kick on. Overall, the stay was worth it and the money was greatly spent!

I liked how close it was to everything, it was big and the breakfast place that was attached to it was absolutely delicious. I needed them to keep my suitcase until I came back from training and they helped me with that.

The shower leaked water down the floor so I had to put several towels to absorb the water, I got there around midnight and the water would just not get warm, I called the front desk twice and no one picked up finally the water did get warm. Next day I needed a blow drier and the lady said there was no blow drier and I told her that was one of the amenities I saw, otherwise I would’ve brought my own. Took me 3 calls to follow up where was it and she had told me she’d call me but honestly I think she just forgot my room number although I told her it was several times. Finally I went downstairs and she handed it to me, she said she was very busy so she couldn’t bring it up, again, I think she just kept forgetting my room number.

it was very nice and clean on the inside. The outside was stunning as well!!! I personally thought that it was beautiful at night all lit up. The room was exquisite!!! The bed was unbelievable soft and so were the pillows!!!! The water pressure in the shower was AMAZING!!!!

The only think I didn’t really like was that the parking lot of the hotel was small. Especially with them having blocked off the entire back row for an event that didn’t partake with the hotel itself. That is, the paying customer, had to park behind the last row in a different parking lot due to people at the close bar having an event. And taking up the hotels very limited parking spots.

the property had the prescience of a world class hotel. We enjoyed the room we had, the staff and the available choices of food and entertainment. We are already planning our return trip to this location and plan on bringing a few friends.

We enjoyed everything and did not have any dislikes. We wish we had booked a longer stay but we will remedy that next time. ☺

I stayed at this hotel (rebooked 3/4 times) for a week and a half. The location was great near Stonebriar mall. The hotel has two bars attached with a great atmosphere and ample parking. I did read a review regarding parking being hard on the weekend and I asked the front desk about it upon check in. they stated that they have overflow parking available but the guests just need to ask about it. The rooms are nice with high ceilings. if you’re lucky enough to get Bryan at the front desk you might be able to get a room with a balcony.

This hotel could easily be a solid 10/10 but their weakest link is their housekeeping staff. They do NOT clean the bathrooms thoroughly at all! please note that I stayed at the hotel for a long time and switched rooms. it was the same issue with the level of bathroom cleanliness in both rooms. I also informed the front desk staff on tow occasions. I hope they rectify this and have housekeeping management survey the rooms before allowing them to be occupied. other than that it really is a nice hotel and I would book again in hopes that they do a better job cleaning.

The hotel was GREAT. The lady at the front desk was very helpful and provided us with excellent customer service. The room was very cold when we walked in the door, which being in Texas during the Summer, was AWESOME.

The parking on Saturday night was pretty crazy and very difficult to get a spot once we returned from dinner. Presumably, it was because of the Sports bar and Moxie's restaurant but luckily we were able to finally find a spot after waiting about 15 minutes.

Location! Right in the middle of everything. Restaurants everywhere, Mall right down the road, our destination was only 8 minutes from hotel! Hotel was very accommodating, our tournament got pushed back a few hours and hotel allowed a very generous late check out! Front desk was very quick to get you checked in and very nice! This was our second time staying at this location, and again, we will always be back!

No complaints!

We were not familiar with the brand, and had never stayed with them before. We expected an average, completely ordinary hotel. We were wrong! The accomodations, the staff, the security, the parking, and so much more, were all WAY better than we could have asked for. We will absolutely be staying at Sandman properties in the future.
