Candlewood Suites Waco, an IHG Hotel

Our room was exceptionally clean, beds were comfortable. The staff was friendly and welcoming.

Maybe a little cheaper? I don’t know - all hotels have gotten very expensive, so the price was in line with all others. I just haven’t traveled in a while and I had sticker shock when I saw prices. But this hotel was way above and beyond on services and comfort and cleanliness, so their expenses are probably as high or higher than other hotels to be able to maintain their level of excellence. I came right back here on the way home because this Candlewood Suites was spotless and friendly. They just can’t be beat!

There was free coffee in the lobby area and a nice, fairly priced honor-system shop where you could buy items for breakfast, etc. The kitchen in the room was well-appointed and clean. If you're going to be in Waco with your family for a few days, I would recommend this property.

There was no breakfast. That's always a nice thing to look forward to and not have to think about when you're traveling.

These are highlights of this hotel: 1/ awesome staff (we had to adjust departure date due to a mandatory Covid test to return to Canada … staff were supportive to adjust our reservation); 2/ location central to restaurants and we attended Ironman race which was easy to drive to race morning without a hitch! 3/beds super comfy

Only a few things we didn’t like and the positives far outweighed the negatives. 1/ shower had minimal water pressure and hot water Hotel was super. Can’t complain … even if shower wasn’t great. Thanks to Candlewood 😊

Super clean and fresh. If you need to do laundry there are free washers/dryers near pool and gym. Accommodating and clean. Staff super sweet as I am in middle of a move to new location.

Rate change from Thursday to Friday. Killed my Thursday savings and budget. Worth it vs my ex favorite hotel.

Front desk person was very friendly and responsive to our needs. Room size was great and had three chairs, allowing us all a place to sit besides the beds! We were on the fourth floor, but enjoyed absolute peace and quiet.

Area around the hotel is a somewhat industrial and rundown, though the hotel itself is not. Homeless person on nearby street corner.

Loud noise above me and next to me. Not sure if they were doing work to rooms but it was niusey early in the mornings. The a/c was also loud turning on and off. Startled me a few times. I guess chalk that up to being a light sleeper

I loved that it was a suite with separate living room and that we were able to travel with our pets. Room was plenty big enough for family of 4 and we would definitely stay again while in Waco

They did not have linens available for sofa couch in the room and did not provide a blanket but thankfully we had an extra with us (linen can be picked up from front desk if needed)

The size of the room was great and it was clean. The hotel was close to downtown and the Magnolia Silos. We were able to get close parking (paid). The bakery was worth the wait and the cupcakes were amazing.

The only thing I noticed was that the cabinets in the kitchen were not connect and just lay in the floor beneath the cabinet. The shower drain had extremely long hair in it and my dog pulled it out and was trying to eat it,

No breakfast but there is a kitchen available. The location was good for us, very close to I35 and shopping.

The room was very clean, but there was an old piece of gum worn into the carpet. It was no longer sticky. The toilet rocked a bit, so just a couple of maintenance/extra cleaning issues.

The on site store is well stocked and the pricing is perfect. Everyone was helpful and professional. An accommodating place that is well maintained.
