Very new and clean hotel with extremely comfy beds

The restaurant wasn’t at the same level as the rest of the hotel. Very friendly staff but evening meal was only average and fries were on the cold side. Waiter was very young (15?) and seemed like he lacked a bit of training but was clearly doing his best and very friendly. He didn’t take drinks orders until we asked and didn’t offer desserts. He also didn’t really have a clue what beer they served and beer was missing from the menu. With a bit more focus on the restaurant and adding beer list, size & prices to the menu this would have been an exceptional hotel for the area in all respects.

The beds are really comfortable and we slept well even though we are still struggling with jetlag. The floor of the bathroom feels really clean and I am impressed. The lady serving the breakfast timing was really friendly and helpful. Really appreciate that good service and that nice smile of hers.

Kids were running around the hallway and despite us staying at the end of the hallway, we could still hear some noise. No lift in the building and it means have to carry our luggage up and down the stairs. The dinner portions served in the restaurant was not as big as others. So in a way, regretted eating in the hotel.

Good fitness room and pool, staff were friendly and helpful, very good breakfast. The room was large in size with good table and storage space. Plenty of hot water. Escalante is a great place to stay as it has access to two National Parks and many beautiful BLM locations.

The hotel maintenance was a bit lacking. The shower head in our room was clogged and the heating/AC was noisy, maybe a bad bearing. The door would not close securely by itself when closed from half open or less. We did not use the restaurant but it was quite astere.

Beautiful building. Room was nice and large. The beds were comfortable. The laundry room was very clean and convenient. The best part though was the employees. From the young man who is desk clerk, server at dinner and also cleans rooms, the lady who was doing laundry and came out to great us when the desk clerk had to step away, and of course the nice, helpful lady who oversaw breakfast. Everyone was just great!

Hot tub seemed over chlorinated, and wasn’t very hot. Indoor Pool was cold. The cooling/heater in our room made all kinds of gurgling noises and racket. We just turned it off and did not complain.

What a beautiful place to stay. It was just a few years old and is well appointed and convenient.

for some reason using the GPS map finding on my phone takes you past the town and from what the front desk personnel says that’s continues to be a problem. She said if we to follow the map we would’ve ended up in a cow pastor. We just happen to see the hotel site as we were leaving town and turned around. It all worked out just fine though. I think of the hotel website mention there’s a discrepancy with GPS mapping it might help future guests.

Upon check-in, we were greeted by Brent who was incredibly friendly and asked us about our stay. He recommended various hikes and showed us photos of the magnificent places to explore in Escalante as we'd come to explore the Grand Staircase. He told us about all the amenities and offered us fresh, HOMEMADE cookies that were delicious, and there were 4 different kinds! They also had refreshing water with sliced oranges for us as well. Since we arrived late, we didn't use the pool and hot tub, but it looked great. The rooms were beautiful, the beds were amazing--- so thick and plush yet supportive!--- and the bathrooms showed they didn't skimp to save money when they built the hotel. Breakfast was in a big area with a beautiful vaulted ceiling. There were hot options including eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes, and a waffle machine. There were various cereals, juices, coffee, fruits, oatmeal, yogurt, muffins, bagels, and bread. You will not regret your stay here. I hope to return to Escalante and will stay here without a doubt.

Canyon County Lodge was new and pleasant with a lot of light and exposed beams. The pool and hot tub areas were clean and user friendly. Pool towels were provided at the desk. Our room was large and had a nice couch/love seat for relaxing and a large work desk. The bed was really comfortable and had a puffy comforter. I loved the large bathroom!

Nothing in particular

We loved this place. Originally we booked for one night, but once we saw the spacious room and the spa and pool facility, we asked to stay another night. The reception clerk was extremely helpful, and overall the hotel and restaurant staff was great.

Can't think of anything. The swimming pool wasn't heated, but after a nice long soak in the spa, it was refreshing.

Beautiful lodge upon a hill with great views, friendly clerk, supereasy check in & out, very helpful staff at breakfast, simple but good & tasty hot breakfast buffet, nice indoor pool with outdoor lounge beds with a view, large room with sizable bathroom incl. nice toiletries, window that actually opened to let in fresh air, lovely!

can't think of anything really

Breakfast had multiple choices for people with food allergies. A need for myself and my spouse. I made a request for a ground floor room and the lodge was able to honor that request.

Price was higher than comparable lodging we have stayed at. This stay was before the summer rush, and I would have expected a slightly lower price.
