The staff were excellent!! The whole town lost power for hours (7pm-10ish?), and the staff handled it all very well. They were kind, courteous, and helpful throughout the whole situation. We hung out in the lobby because it was hot in our rooms without ac and I personally watched them interact with dozens of tired and frustrated customers, and there was no end to their customer service! The staff rocks! I would definitely stay here again because of the staff alone. Breakfast and location were awesome, too.

The pool looked awesome but unfortunately I was unable to go in. The breakfast buffet was tasty and well attended to. Room was very quiet and comfortable. Going back to Moab in a week so hopefully they will still have rooms.

Upon arrival, there was only one person on staff and she was apparently overwhelmed between checking people in and answering the switchboard. She attempted to control her stress but you could see she was exasperated. Might be helpful during those busier times to simply have someone else there to answer the phone or answer people's questions so the front desk agent can focus on registering people and getting them to their comfortable room.

Pool and hot tub area was nice.

At breakfast, (4th of July), there were no eggs, and no cinnamon rolls. I asked staff working the breakfast and they said they were out of cinnamon rolls. Really!??! That's what HIE is known for and they were out, on a holiday no less. They also did not keep the pool towels supplied the night before.

Breakfast was great. Good variety. Menu was different daily. Granola bars were a bonus for hiking The pool and spa were also wonderful after a long day of hiking

The king room was a pretty basic. Had to ask for hand soap and Kleenex because there wasn’t any when we arrived One of the bath towels still had a stain We had room 302 and it was a great location, overlooking the pool, and close to elevator/stairs, but the room door did not lock automatically. We had to pull it shut in order to lock it.

We experienced a power outage, while it was not the property fault they offered no free water, we couldn’t shower or flush and they had no wifi! For these reasons we checked out day early and Since I prepaid I will NOT get refunded for the extra day!! So in the future I will not book and prepay!!

The pool was nice. The front staff very friendly. Breakfast coffee was very good. Nice verity of items. Gym was a nice feature but it smelled of tires. Beautiful views. So much space for large things like hiking gear.

Would be nice if there was a daily menu because items changed.

There were many selections of breakfast foods, all very delicious! The pool and spas were clean, many tables and chairs to enjoy poolside. The pool has an attractive “grotto” with additional in pool seating. The room was clean and enjoyed having the shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner in their own dispensing bottles, rather than the small single use bottles.

One of the two spas did not work. A larger sign would be nice at the street because the hotel is easy to miss otherwise.

The location was perfect. Harry was so attentive, friendly, and helpful. The breakfast far exceeded any hotel breakfast we’ve ever had. So many choices and so tasty!! The laundry room was extremely convenient. The hotel was spotless and our room was spacious. Loved the pool area too!!

The beds were super comfortable , the staff up front was very nice and helpful, and the accommodations were nice.

The only problem I would say is that while they came and emptied the garbage and replaced towels, the place was not straightened up at all.

Our review was actually about the Hampton Inn down the road. When we arrived at the Holiday Inn Express, the desk clerk informed us that they had oversold the hotel and offered to put us up at the Hampton Inn nearby for the same price. The clerk said it was a nicer hotel (and it was!!!). We ended up having a wonderful experience!
