Great location, clean room, and a delicious breakfast. Restaurants and town center all within walking distance. The room had everything we needed with a comfortable king bed, shower, and air conditioning. The breakfast was phenomenal, homemade, with well stocked coffee and tea. The inn keeper was friendly and attentive. It was perfect!

The Maplecroft is such a very unique & welcoming place! You walk in the door & you find a common area that puts you in a place that you could envision your great grandparents hosting people. The whole place is just so melancholy & pleasant. Caryn’s hospitality is top-notch! Her breakfast was awesome!

It is a spacious, beautiful, restored Victorian home with well-appointed guest rooms. The room was lovely with a very comfortable bed. There were shared living spaces downstairs and a wrap around porch to sit outside and enjoy. Caryn was incredibly welcoming and gave helpful information on the area. Caryn made wonderful breakfasts each morning with homemade breads and fresh, local ingredients. We had a wonderful stay.

Loved the design and decor of the home. The fact that the B&B operator had so many connections to New Orleans allowed the conversations at breakfast to be very open. The food was excellent.

That we couldn't stay longer and see some of the surrounding areas more.

Caryn is a great host. She is so nice and friendly. The breakfast she will make for you the morning after is so delightful!

We've stayed at the Maplecroft many times over the last decade, and the new owner has maintained the exceptional standards of the previous, with an additional improvement (bless her heart!) of a gel cushion to soften the mattress. In contrast to the other place we stayed in Barre during this trip, everything was as it should be. Plenty of personal cleaning supplies, lots of toilet paper and towels, good WIFI, etc. etc. We love the Elia Cortu Suite in particular, and try to book it whenever we can. Brava Caryn (SP?) for a wonderful and affordable visit! Maybe next time we'll get up in time for the French toast!

Really, the place has always epitomized for us the idea of an old-fashioned, beautiful bed and breakfast. Change nothing!

parking was difficult. definitely NOT accessible for anyone with any difficulties. no easy access from street as steps had no rail. if someone with even slight disabilities wanted to stay it wouldn’t be possible. wasn’t crazy about the breakfast.

I liked the solidity of 19th-early 20th century building and interior. Updating has been done so comfort was great and convenient. Everything we needed was available. The home-cooked breakfast was super. And it was quiet and we slept really well.

We had to leave before the breakfast times. We were given 2 boxes to-go for breakfast or muffins, yogurt, granola and fruit. Very thoughfull

This is a beautiful home. Our room was located on the second floor accessed by a stairwell. Breakfast was jueves rancheros and avocado toast and fresh fruit.

The location is near a main city street so there is quite a bit of traffic until about midnight. Also the pub/ cafe across the street had outdoor music and later fireworks. It was quiet before midnight so no worries.
