My wife and I loved the location and even though in the center of everything was still quiet. The place was done VERY WELL and MODERN, clean sheets blankets, excellent modern bathroom and the perfect size TV. Overall, A GREAT PLACE.

We didn't like that even though the curtains were the modern blinds, they DID NOT stop the light from coming in the sides and being on the first floor certainly poses a problem for possible peaks into the bathroom. Noise is truly a factor when other people just don't have the consideration to walk downstairs and carry their luggage versus dropping it on one stair at a time. Being on the first floor could be a problem no matter where you are. We didn't like that there was NO ONE to GREET YOU and all communication had to be done through a phone number on the front door. The TV was the perfect size and watchable but with low clarity. The back yard seating area didn't have any switch to turn the lights on at dark, but had an extension chord that I located .

Very much keeping to the colonial and historical feel of the era it was established. Interesting history of the hotel and town. Great central location with all that was needed on the doorstep. Staff were very good and very spacious room

Air conditioner in the room was too fierce for the one bed with vents on the lower wall next to the bed and one directly above the bed. If we were to stay again would insist on another room.

Great place to stay in the heart of Wilmington!! The staff were very helpful and had wonderful suggestions for where to eat and explore. The room was spacious and although it was near the entrance, it was very quiet, especially at night time. The courtyard out back is an added bonus area to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee. Would definitely stay again! Thanks to James and all the staff!!

Wonderful place to stay. Love that they accept dogs. The smoothie shop they also run is excellent. Place was clean and bed was very comfortable. Huge bathroom. Nice firepit in the quiet patio in back.

Street side room can be a little noisier because the trucks going by really shake up the place. Would be nice to have access to a microwave.

Location is amazing, the beauty of the property, plenty of amenities, the area is gorgeous and with plenty of restaurants and things to do, the amenities in the unit where more than sufficient with a minor exceptions.

The beds were squeaky and the doors were creaky, I know the beds were rustic but I’m sure something could be done,… but the doors are easy to fix, with a bit of oil/WD40. The toilet room is clean, newly remodeled and looks great but it seems it was design by a man, with no consideration to feminine hygiene. At least a corded shower head. Also a chair in the room would have been great to have!

We stayed at the Vermont House for a ski weekend at Mount Snow. The hotel itself is cute and quaint and the rooms are incredibly comfortable and the bed was great, too. James did everything to make us feel welcome and offered some great recommendations for local food and drinks. Would certainly stay here again!

Really great location. Easy walk to everywhere of interest in Wilmington. If you stay here, you can easily get to Dot's Restaurant early in the morning before it gets crowded. There is also easy access to large public parking area.

I am satisfied with everything. There is some traffic on Main Street, and our room overlooked the street, but that didn't bother any of us.

Serene rooms, contemporary design; TV w great cable offerings, including Vermont PBS; terrific bath fittings (espy the shower). Loved the bed. A/C worked great and was whisper-quiet. Appreciated in-room coffee maker!

My room lock seemed a bit flimsy—would prefer something more substantial w second security feature to limit opening to strangers.

We loved that it was an old, quaint building but very updated room. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. It was close to everything and we enjoyed walking to breakfast at Dots and strolling around the shops. We loved the porches and rocking chairs as well as the cute fall decor.

We couldn't adjust the heat so the room got extra warm. Being right on the main road you could hear traffic all night and we could hear the guy in the next room snoring. Maybe provide earplugs?

the room was beautifully updated. Small details make the trip for me: such as an air conditioner but also windows could still be opened for fresh air and even a night light in the bathroom, small fridge to store all that local Vermont cheese and even creamer for the small coffee pot! I notice the smallest of details that really make the trip enjoyable

I know it’s still Covid, so not having the bar open downstairs was sad….
