Great location, close to a Dunkin Donuts that opens at 5 AM and almost across the street from a Shaw's grocery store that stays open until 9 PM. Parking is adequate and easily in/out from the busy Rte 9 traffic. Outside seating on the decks makes the place feel more at home. Housekeeping was super efficient; we were not expecting service for only a two-night stay.

The mattress was not super comfortable but acceptable for the two nights. Room facilities were basic but decent. Shower layout was a bit odd with controls on the inside wall rather than one of the ends, requiring some awkward bending, but no big deal.

I liked that there was no nighttime rowdiness from other guests, no disturbances and all around was quiet. I also liked that we had a mini fridge, microwave, and the t.v. was on a wall mount to give us more space on the dresser for personal items.

I wish that a continental or some other type of on-site breakfast was available and to be inclusive with the price of the room, as when I was researching for destination area breakfast restaurants, one out of three of the restaurants listed on Google was actually open for business on a Sunday morning (only one). This was a bit discouraging.

Convenient location with Shaws, Dunkin’ donuts, gas, within walking distance. Had quiet neighbors mid-week (mostly skiers and boarders). Maid service was excellent.

Did not know the proper setting (1-9) for the refrigerator. It was not plugged in when I arrived. I set it mid-range (5) and my drinks froze. Found that a setting of 1 worked well. Perhaps a note on the fridge. Wall switch for light next to bed also turned off power where my iPhone charger was plugged in. Once I discovered that, I simply left the wall switch on and turned the light on / off at the lamp.

Most of the other reviews nailed it: The Viking Motel was a very straightforward stay for a ski weekend that was clean and comfortable. No fancy bells or whistles here, but the room was clean, beds were very comfortable, and on a weekend that was below zero, the room stayed very warm. Most importantly, it was an easy 12 minute drive to Mount Snow, and less than 2 minute drive to the restaurants in Wilmington (could easily walk it in warmer weather).

This wasn't the snazziest place we've ever stayed...That was probably the Grand Floridian, at Disney World.. We drove the 2 hrs from Ct...This was a reasonably priced, really well located motel on the side of the road, only 15 mins to Mt. Snow...The expectations were as such.. I read the reviews, both good and bad.. I brought our own extra towels and our own coffee maker and just in case our own toilet paper.. This allowed me to relax with nothing that could possibly get in the way of our feeling at home....Room was very clean inside and had crispy sheets!!!But must say that the people who run this place were awesome and would have been at our door with anything we asked for ...They were up there in age.. My hubz and I are too.. but we preplanned it so we wouldn't ask too much from anybody. Nice way to spend a few days leaf peeping! And...They let us bring our little dog...So no worries there...We, would return to this establishment for a get-a-way again for sure!

Only thing I didn't like were the complainers who gave these lovely people such awful reviews.. Good thing, I can read between the lines when it comes to reviews.. If you are trying to save a buck.. Don't expect the Taj Mahal! Just sayin! Go ahead and book it.. You'll be glad you did.

no breakfast that i knew of. location near mt snow ski resort was fine. everything went well, but upon inspecting room 6 i noticed a hollow bathroom door with a hole on the inside of bathroom door, i reported this to front desk immediately and requested something in writing that i reported this damage in my room. the front desk said the property belongs to him and his wife and my request wasnt necessary, though he wasnt aware of such damage nor did he volunteer to come inspect for himself.

Clean and cute motel. Close to skiing, restaurants and a supermarket. The room was warm, had two comfy beds, a hot shower and a microwave - all you need for ski weekend. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks for having this reasonable priced option!

Parking was covered with ice - just be careful.

Great location on east-west route through Wilmington, easy to find. I liked the staff I met, the ease & pleasantness of checking in & out, the comfort of my bed, the bathroom facilities, the bar fridge (& microwave) & the functioning coffee-maker. WiFi was OK, too! With a disabled leg, I was also glad to be on the ground floor.

I could have done without the noisy young men on the floor above me, but that ended early evening, so it wasn't a particularly important problem.

We were on a motorcycle trip. Great location. There is free bus service to attractions in the area. Walking to downtown restaurants grocery stores etc. was very easy. Excellent restaurants in town.

shower hot water temperature was marginal. Expect to run out of warm shower, especially if others are showering.

This place is old school and right in the heart of town. It feels like a throwback to the 50s - which we loved. It's not glam or anything - but a great value and a great location. The gas station convenience store across the street sells wine - and some decent ones at that. Lots of fun.
