Lady at the front desk was awesome; professional, welcoming and helpful. The location was great as we could walk to a variety of eating establishments, but it was a bit noisy due to the proximity of the on ramp to the highway.

There were potato chips between the mattress and box springs-my husband likes to make the bed to suit him. Also there was a spider spinning a web inside the toilet. I tried to point it out to my husband and looking closely saw the underside of the rim was very dirty and the spider was gone as I guess he went away when I flushed. Totally creeped me out.

The room and the bath were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good, with hot items, oatmeal, cereals, and fresh fruit. The location was a few minutes outside Winchester, but still on the main highways traversing the Shenandoah Valley. There are a few restaurants within walking distance.

The hotel was short on staff, so room cleaning service was not available each day (we had to go to the desk for fresh towels, soaps). There were lots of pets in the hotel--honestly, dogs were everywhere. So, if you someone who travels with their pet, maybe this would be a plus, but it wasn't for us. But overall, no major complaints.

I stayed at the Country Inn and Suites for a week. I was not sure if my sister could join me so I booked as a solo traveler. This means safety was a priority. For me safety also means a walk-in shower. I was given the room closest to the front desk, handicap accessible. Actually, wheelchair accessible (which I did not need) and close to handicap parking. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I booked a king size bed. When my sister was able to join me for 3 nights, we decided to just arrange pillows (surely we slept in the same bed when we were kids!) To facilitate our own movements in the room we did not ask to have the room made up but only fresh towels. The cleaning staff might have thought we were nuts, but were very kind about it. By the end of my stay I had a sense that the front desk knew I was an older, solo traveler and kept an eye out for me. As a plus the location was close to I 81, but not at the nutty intersection of I 81 and I 66. There were: a McDonalds, Out Back Steak House, 7-11, Cabrerra's Italian Restaurant all within view of the front of the hotel. We were visiting yet another sister and getting to her house was easy, even on dark nights! [Also 2 gas stations.] I love STRONG coffee and brought my own. The coffee pot was a four cup cuisenart with a cone basket. Perfect! Breakfast was plentiful. It was typical hotel fare, but that never bothers me. Bagels, muffins, scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, waffles, 3 different ways to have toast, juice, etc. So many choices.

There were 3 things that bothered me, both easily fixable. 1. Both CNN and MSNBC were blocked. Only National News was on Fox. This concerned me because I live in Maine and arrived the day after the mass shooting in Lewiston and wanted to see the news on CNN. Number 2: There was a summer weight comforter on the bed, but it only went waist high. Since it is now definitely fall I would have liked to see one that covered my arms. There was a blanket in the room for me to use. And lots of pillows. Also, we experienced quite a temperature change, from cool to wanting heat to 80F and needing AC. This leads to my 3rd comment. Number 3: There was no written-on-paper information on how to turn the heat or AC on, nor TV channels. Another easy-to-fix problem.

Room was very clean and reasonably sized with attractive furnishings. Breakfast was very good - lots of choices, including fresh waffles from two available waffle makers. Friendly staff. Proximity to good restaurants, several within easy walking distance. Fresh coffee and cookies in lobby. Proximity to highways (but a two-edged sword, see below). Value was good.

Nearby highways were quite busy and noisy - not enough to ruin sleep but louder than desirable. Beds were comfortable for one traveler, too stiff for the other so just a matter of preference. Pillows were too small for the bed - they are the size of big sofa pillows.

The room was very comfortable. Easy thermostat to control temps. The room was quiet but we were the last in the hall. Plenty of towels and the hand soap bar was exceptionally creamy and foamy. So many choices of tea for breakfast along with coffees, creamers and even hot chocolate. We arrived late but our location had many restaurants nearby if needed. A little complicated to find but easier to get back on interstate.

The elevator had really loud dings and we were glad not to be situated near them.

Comfy bed, awesome pillows. Clean room and common areas. EVEN Elevator was clean wiped down & smellled clean. Hot showers, friendly staff. Good breakfast with multiple options. Good size room! Adjustable thermostat worked beautifully. Quiet for near 81. A tip... Turn thermostast to ON instead of automatic Position if u want white noise to help with traffic noise.fan helps with that. Cookies and coffee are available, too.

Door opened near Tub when using the toilet, so open door halfway and can sit comfortably without door open all the way u so u don't have to sit sideways. Lol.

Easy off and on highway. Gas station/store, McDonald's, Outback within walking distance. Friendly staff, clean, breakfast not a variety like other of their hotels but ok. Wine and beer sold from cooler. Pool and weight room. Would recommend.

2 queen room was a little small but comfortable for 3. Breakfast did not have a great variety. Scrambled eggs, biscuits n gravy, cereal, yogurt out of a big bowl, some bread and pastries, juice and coffee.

The property is located in a large shopping complex so there are a lot of places to eat. The staff was very pleasant and supplied bottled water when we arrived Luggage carts were available to help with the luggage The room was clean modern and up to date Everything worked bed was comfortable Bathroom was spacious Breakfast area was clean and selections were good Eggs and bacon waffles fresh fruit nice selection of juice hot and cold cereal breads 24/7 coffee and tea

The refrigerator didn’t have a freezer compartment so I couldn’t freeze my ice packs but they had a ice machine so I was able to keep things cold for the next day

We liked the room, the staff was also courteous and breakfast was fine. This was our third stay here and we have always enjoyed this facility.

With this being our third stay here, this time the walls seemed paper thin as we could hear almost everything the neighbors could say about taking a shower, what products the other person should use, etc. The big barking dog somewhere in the same hallway didn't help nor did the group of people socializing in the hallway until at least 11 PM. They could have gone into a room. We had tried to go to bed at 9:30 but sleep was impossible with all the goings on. These were mature adults not kids. The mattress was hard as a rock as well.

Breakfast was AMAZING!! Waffles, eggs, sausage, bacon, bagels, English muffins, yogurts, cereals, oatmeal,, juices,, coffee, sausage biscuit w/gravy (special today). Location is right for hopping on Rt 11 or 81. Property was clean and parking lot well lit and clean. Plus there are several restaurants in the same plaza. Outback, Carabas, and couple smaller. Big plus is Alamo Ale House (movie theater, ale house). There is also an Aldi's grocery store.

The hotel is switching to the "Choice" brand and being brought up to standards. There are growing pains. Our room phone did not work (phone line issue). Our room key notoriously did not work the first 2 days. That was a procedure issue. Ice machine out of order (made call for service) Would I stay again...... YES!...because I met the GM and she is determined to workout the issues and I believe in her convictions (she is good people).
