Econo Lodge Ellensburg

Sam the front desk manager maybe owner was so helpful as I arrived early from my road trip from Montana. Sam displayed excellent customer service to me and other's during my visit. Sam was very knowledgeable about where to go downtown Ellensburg. I found a few places to be very spot on with Sam's help. Club 301 is the best bar restaurant and club in town. Also a shout to Marie my housekeeper she was 👍 great. I appreciate her as well.

Breakfast was good,location just off freeway is terrific.

Tub was very slow to drain causing hair to be left in tub making it appear dirty,toilet handle and seat very lose,microwave was dirty,one pillow has a very strong order of perfume on it,office changed pillow out for us.bed was one. Of the better mattress s I ve slept on,much nicer than the quality in Union Gap,Wa.

Great location just off I-90 and only 5 minutes to downtown Ellensburg. Nice heating / cooling unit, comfortable bed, shower pressure was awesome! Hangers in the closet to hang clothes. Washer / Dryer facilities.

Light bulb in lamp was out. Toilet was running. I shut the water valve off so I didn't have to listen to the toilet bowl refill every 10-15 minutes. Night stand legs were uneven so that the drawer didn't want to close. I had to shim the front legs with cardboard so that it stay closed. I didn't want to accidentally run into the open drawer in the middle of the night!

The biggest positive was the front-desk staff. Customer service and competence is, sadly, very very hard to find these days - most public-facing employees either can not do their jobs, want you to do all the work yourself, or display a lack of concern or are downright hostile! Not so with the staff at the Ellensberg Econo Lodge. My interactions with the young lady while checking in, and the man who checked us out, were exceptional.

The room was quite small, which is ok, but all of the furniture was over-sized. The effect was that the room felt cramped and getting from the bathroom to the front door was a bit of a narrow obstacle course. This did not detract from enjoying our stay, but it could be improved.

Nice room. Clean. Few bucks more for rear side room that is quieter. Host was very helpful

WiFi at night barely worked. Finally gave up trying to use it. I had a room facing the back, but in the middle of the row of rooms. I didn't ask about it. Usually motel staff say that more people use it at night, as if that explains a wifi system inadequate for the task. I knocked two points off this deficit.

The rooms were clean and it's a good location. We had a good night sleep. The cleaning staff was very good.

Didn't like the loud couple that played their music right outside our room. Did not care for the kids in the room above us they were loud.

Best budget price in the area, and the no frills room was nonetheless clean, bed was comfortable. Really had everything I needed for my single night.

Breakfast was pretty weak.

Econo Lodge, West Ellensburg. (I stayed 1 night while on a long solo bike tour). A gnd floor King room facing the lake cost $60+ tax, with a continental breakfast. Good value. I had medium size room #119. I had a large desk and chair, sofa chair, med size refrig, mwave, bedside table, dresser and 2 bedside lights. This was a good stay. Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. Well-appointed room. Internet was fast, water was hot, and the small refrigerator worked well. Bed was comfortable, and had four pillows. Large working area around bathroom sink was nice. Pleasant view E onto river. Quiet room. OK A/C. I enjoyed their early breakfast at 0600 the next morning, and it was adequate for my needs. Provided were apples, various types of cereals including whole wheat Cheerios and bran flakes, many muffins and pastries, coffee, milk etc.

Cons: the room was a little small, and fitting two bikes would have been a real squeeze. There was no bar to limit the amount of opening of the sliding window for fresh air. I like to sleep with fresh air, but in this case opening the window meant someone could have climbed in. Option was to open the door with the latch in place, but the outside light was too bright.

Thanks Econo lodge for our stay. One suggestion I would have is to have one or two healthy options for breakfast. Lots of sugary things were there, perhaps some cereal or oats without sugar of yogurt and fruit. Otherwise this place was just what we needed while in transit to the coast. Excellent staff at check in. Friendly smiley and kind.

I arrived early, and they were able to book me in immediately. My room was quite and comfortable, and the breakfast was very nice, with lots of variety available.

The microwave in my room didn't work (although I would not have used it, anyway).
