Nice seating area for breakfast. Food was outstanding. Every request was accommodated by front desk.

The Inn is very transparent about being dog friendly, but we think that there should be restrictions on bringing animals into the food serving/eating areas. Also, we would recommend that at least a couple rooms be pet free for guests who like the Inn’s location and services but don’t feel the need to bring their dogs on vacation with them. Allergies are also a concern for us.

My daughter and I were very pleased with our experience at Blue Elk. The room was large and the bed was super comfortable. We had a great sleep after a long day of hiking. The Keurig coffee maker and large bathroom with a tub are nice extras. Also liked the fact that the AC was adjustable to suit your desired temperature. The back garden and large deck are lovely. Breakfast was very nice with good choices. The location is perfect with an easy walk into town. JJ Hills restaurant is close by for a pleasant meal should one not feel like looking far. The staff was great, very friendly and helpful. As we love the area we will likely be back and looking to stay here again

We took a long weekend trip with grandparents and children raging in age from 11 to 82. The facilities were wonderful for everyone. Rooms were comfy and quiet with nice touches like refrigerators and Keurig’s. Daily breakfasts were varied and high quality with great coffee and a beverage center and microwave available all day. Individual sauna was enjoyed by grandparents and we and our kids loved the pool and hot tub. Lots of outdoor pet friendly seating to relax and for breakfast. We even got take out and ate at the hotel patio to avoid the downtown options which would have required more walking for our elderly guests.

Slippers and robes would be nice but I’m reaching!

This is a very nice property, well-kept and well-furnished both inside and out. The location is good. We liked not being on the main frontage road of Leavenworth, yet still reasonably close. We appreciate that Blue Elk welcomes pets. Breakfast was delicious.

We liked this place very much, just be forewarned, rooms are small. They did run out of the delicious-smelling breakfast potato entrée about thirty minutes before breakfast ended, so we missed out.

The property is off the main road and very quiet. The rooms are large and very comfortable. There is a large garden set up for enjoying breakfast and reading. For those who like swimming, there is a lovely pool area. We walked into the town and saw other properties that were a hundred plus dollars more with no outside seating AND on the Main Street. The Blue Elk is quiet and also in keeping with the Bavarian theme.

I’m not a dog owner therefore it being ‘dog friendly’ was a negative for me. However, while we were there, the dog owners were very responsible and respectful, thereby it was NOT an issue. I believe dog owners have certain rooms so if you are allergic there is also no issue.

We loved relaxing on the sofas in the garden. It was cooler under the trees and quite peaceful. The yard is a fair size with several flower garden islands and birdhouses scattered throughout. There are also lovely colorful window garden boxes in the traditional Bavarian style. We enjoyed watching the birds as they fed their young.

It would have been great if there was a small store on campus for some light snacks and drinks. Other than that, the Inn was fantastic. We'll book again on our next visit to Leavenworth.

Fantastic hotel overall. Friendly and helpful staff, clean and beautiful room and grounds. Nice new jacuzzi hot tub by the pool, free bike rentals.

The breakfast could have used more variety. Biscuits and gravy were main course on our first day. I got excited for French toast the second day, but was disappointed the third day when it was biscuits and gravy again. There were fruit, yogurt options all days, which was nice. I liked that ice water was available all day, as it was very hot for our trip.

Breakfast was simple yet amazing! Best scrambled eggs, pancakes and French toast, etc. Plenty to eat, always on time and hot! Staff was friendly and so helpful. When the soap dispenser in the room fell off the wall after I bumped it, the gal at the front desk came up right away and quickly fixed and refilled it! They did not charge us for an added person to our room. The grounds are immaculately kept and there are many spaces outside to enjoy. We would definitely stay here again!

Lots of reviews said the breakfast was great, and I would agree! It's small-ish buffet, but everything tasted homemade and fresh-- I'd much rather have fewer options, but everything is a higher quality. The pancakes were fluffy and fantastic. Fruit was really nice, and the eggs and sausage were good. Bed was comfortable.

Room darkening shade would be nice. I was on a lower floor and my room looked into the parking lot. I left my shades down during my stay, but I could image, especially in the summer, the room being bright earlier than folks would want.

We liked the good attitude of the staff, the cleanliness and the superb style both inside and out. Excellent breakfast! We were especially captivated by these large fluffy pancakes!

There was one not very convenient detail. We had neighbors in the room next to us. We had to listen to the movies they were watching until one in the morning. We don't know why not settle guests not so close to each other, despite the fact that there were still many free rooms. Or maybe it's the problem of soundproofing the walls?
