I’ve stayed there 3-4 times prior and it is always clean and staff is friendly. This time, however, they shined through some adversity! I brought my wife and 8-year-old daughter so they could swim and relax while I worked. We checked in Thursday at 4pm and went to the pool. Uh oh… the pool had a safety issue and had to be closed until it could be repaired. Needless to say my daughter was sad! Before I could even ask the manager Eric offered us free desserts and other stuff and graciously extended us a late checkout way beyond normal(3pm)! They expected the pool to be available by mid morning. I went off to work and my texted a while later. Well the pool won’t be fixed for a while so probably not until after we check out 🥲. However they stepped up once again with Brittany bringing chocolate cake to the room for my daughter and Sarah saying the pool was ready and we could stay as long as we wanted!!! They also waived the pet fee for our German Shepherd:) The hotel has always been pleasant but how they handled this situation was outstanding! I cannot recommend them enough! Kelly

Loved everything

A great rest stop for people driving to or from Canada. The pool was just the right temperature, the gym was fine and the hot tub helped me relax. I appreciated it being open early in the morning and late at night. The breakfast was very good too. I had porridge (oatmeal) and when I asked for syrup the chef went to the kitchen to get me some. What was particularly nice was a happy hour reception with a glass of wine at the bar and an excellent soup with fresh bread sticks that went on until 10:30 pm. So appreciative that you support traveler's late at night and don't shut things down early. There's a walk along the river on a paved path if you want outdoor exercise. The room was really comfortable with a large king bed and bath tub. I believe most of the rooms have balconies and look over the river, so you may not need to ask for one that faces that way. If you need supplies there's a Walmart across the road - my husband needed batteries for his computer mouse. This hotel really makes you feel welcome and pays attention to the little details that make a difference.

Everything was good - there was nothing we didn't like.

we are on a road trip in Washington and Oregon and this is the best hotel of the 7 we have stayed in. I paid $12 for an upgrade for a room on 4th floor overlooking river with a balcony - well worht it. Excellent breakfast as well. Room was spacious, quiet and clean. Great water pressure for shower. Would definitely stay there again if in area, Great location for visiting Mount Ranier

Nothing - hotel was superb

Booked a river front suite, which was clean, comfortable, and lovely. Although there was a balcony with chairs, the weather was way too hot to sit outside, so we enjoyed the view from the comfort of the sofa. :) Conveniently located, there's a Burger King next door, and next to that a Mexican restaurant within walking distance. The river path/trail took us right to it. Although we felt the room price was a little steep, the river view can't be beat. Breakfast was included and the place is pet friendly (our dog got a complimentary water dish and treats). At first, we wondered if we were the only ones staying there that night since we didn't hear noise from other guests. We were pleasantly surprised by how quiet the hotel was! (It was actually a little eerie, lol.)

Unfortunately, the peace and quiet was short-lived. At 2:00 am, we were woken up by the sound of heavy and erratic pacing, moving furniture, and the opening & closing of drawers by the person in the room above us. This bizarre activity continued throughout the early morning hours with intermittent periods of silence before starting up again. At times, it sounded like the ceiling was going to cave in on top of us from all the back and forth stomping! This person's behavior was not so much annoying as it was disturbing, which is why we didn't complain to the front desk. (We worried about the guest's mental state and didn't want to risk putting a hotel employee in possible danger.) Through no fault of the hotel, our night was less than restful but we would stay here again.

Excellent breakfast, service, room view, and cleanliness. The 2 fawns and doe across the river were charming.

Needed a double set of all towels. Suggest two vertical grab bars — one near wall of toilet and a longer one for safety in the showe/ tub.

friendly staff and great location. Great view of the river from the river side rooms. The "managers reception" turned out to be more fun than the time I spent with my in-laws.

I was disappointed in how small the flat screen TV was - haven't seen one that modest in a long time. The "form fitter" style tube/shower enclosure would flexed and pop each time you'd shift your weight in the shower. Very annoying and from outside the bathroom it sounded like someone had maybe fallen down.

We enjoyed the quietness!! Yes Quiet 🤫 my request for top floor was honored however in the normal stay we usually look over the noise. This stay was absolutely flawless!!! Amazing comfort!!! Recommend!!!

The bed was the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on. Pillows were great, too.

It would have been helpful to have had in-room USB ports. The refrigerator made a nearly constant high pitched humming noise.

We liked the location right next to the river but also easy to find and access. Room was clean and comfortable. We appreciated the welcome social each evening. Good breakfasts.

We loved the breakfast. The staff who served it each morning were so friendly and made each morning quite enjoyable.

Smoking rooms nearby, but I understand that you have to have some.
