Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Beckley, WV

The room was huge, more of a suite than a double room, breakfast was excellent and never had to wait for buffet to be refilled. Staff paid attention to detail and were very friendly & the buffet was very clean & neat! Even the hallways smelled fresh & clean. Location was great for a stop traveling from NE Ohio to NC.

Bathroom was as clean as expected, but facecloths were old & threadbare. A table to sit at with a couple chairs would’ve easily fit in the room and been nice for a family. I liked the big front porch but should not be a smoking area, not very welcoming. The parking was very tight.

Breakfast was good. I was happy you had grape juice. The room was large with plenty of room. The shower was great with a shower head at each end of the shower. Room was clean. Checkout was very easy.

I was disappointed with the bacon. It was paper-thin. You would be far better off to just serve sausage instead of paper-thin bacon. There were only 2 large towels in the bathroom to use. It would be far better to plan 2 large towels per person. Women always use two towels. One for the body and one to wrap the hair up in.

Location and the size of the room. Also it has an inside pool. Breakfast was good.

The problem was finding parking. Some vehicles were taking up multiple spots, which was unnecessary. Many had taken up two spots. The last thing you want to deal with when arriving exhausted, is finding a spot to park. The receptionist didn’t know where we could find additional parking. Just unaware and not interested in helping. We found out in the morning from a much more informed front desk worker that there were additional parking in the back by conference center.

The room was clean.

The “free breakfast “ was not appetizing at all. We went to Bob Evans for breakfast done the street. Also, was overcharged for room at checkout. I showed my Booking.com guaranteed price for room and woman said you couldn’t do anything about the overcharge.that she couldn’t adjust it. I asked for the manager to call me and she eventually did and it got straightened out but my husband and I had traveled over 6,000 miles, staying in about 14 hotels on that trip and only had an issue with this hotel….the last on our way home.

The employee at the front desk was so nice even though she was alone and overwhelmed with so many people coming in at one time (plus they didn’t have key cards available at one point, so she walked the people up to their rooms and got key cards for them later). Very busy young lady, but very polite and professional!

Room on first floor that we had didn’t have working outlets in the bathroom. But it was okay-we worked around it.

Evening shift when we checked in was amazing. Courteous, accommodating and, most importantly, made us feel welcome. Facility was very busy and they handled it rather well. Kudos to evening staff Saturday night 6-4-22.

The morning staff on Sunday was rude and dismissive. The hot tub and pool were posted open 6am-10pm and we asked for towels, because there weren't any. The front desk staff member said the pool and hot tub wasn't supposed to open until 8 and came back down the hall with towels for the area, but told us to wait until 8. We didn't have the time in our itinerary to wait, and unfortunately as a result, we missed the opportunity to swim and soak.

A little worrisome moment. Check-out is at noon. I had the Do Not Disturb card hanging outside my door. Housekeeping (woman's voice) knocked and I was in the bathtub. I YELLED LOUDLY that someone was still in the room. It was easy to hear me. Housekeeping laughed outside the door. Seconds later a MAN said, "Housekeeping" and knocked on the door. I YELLED EVEN LOUDER that someone was in here. He HAD to have heard me. He opened the hotel door. By this point, I was out of the tub screaming in the bathroom that a person was in here. He said, "Oh, excuse me" then left. Seems that if a Do Not Disturb card is hanging on the door and it's not yet check-out time that a room shouldn't be entered by staff. Very unnerving.

The hotel needs to be Remodeled in the hot tubthere was missing titles along the outskirts of it. The carpet throughout the hotel and in the room needs to be replaced as very old and worn down the roof throughout the hotel has cracks an looks like mold or dirt should be replaced. We did have an ant issue not really sure why but we cleaned it up ourselves and made sure nothing else was still around. I wish they had bigger towels. The bathroom an broken an missing tile

The hotel lobby is very nice and so is the pool. My son really enjoyed swimming in it. Beds were comfortable.

Room wasn't very clean. There was left over cheese and meat on a chair (looked like someone had ate a taco while sitting there). The spare bed had no linens on it or anywhere else in the room. We had to use our own blanket and remove sheets from another bed in the room, to put on the pull out bed.

The size of the room was great! The room amenities was great! Heat / Air worked great and coffee pot & supplies were good.

Room could have been cleaner. There was things left in the floor from a previous occupant, if the vacuum had been run it would have been picked up. Dust & hairspray residue was on the towel bars in the bathroom, obviously they had not been wiped down in a while. Upon our arrival we were putting drinks in the fridge and found that coffee had been spilled down the front of the fridge and not cleaned. I had to clean up the coffee spill on the outside and inside of the fridge. I expected better.
