Comfort Inn New River

The hotel breakfast had eggs and sausage patties as hot items, plus do-it-yourself waffles. There was fresh fruit, yoghurt, and cereal as well. Nothing fancy, but quite adequate. The hotel bed was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was small, and the tub showwer and fixtures somewhat dated, but it was clean with nicely folded linens. The hotel was quiet while I was there, and I had a restful night. The wakeup alarm clock worked, as did the promised wakeup call.

The bathroom lighting was dim, making it difficult to shave properly. Other room lighting had been updated with LED bulbs in the floor and table lamps. The bathroom fan was noisey.

I loved the proximity to New River Gorge National Park, Fayetteville, Tamarack, etc. Frankie, the gent who checked me in, couldn't have been more helpful. In fact, he walked me to the room to make sure that staff had done what I'd asked in terms of cleaning product usage prior to my arrival. He was going to give me another room if it wasn't suitable. And then the room itself was clean and comfortable.

There were no issues.

Breakfast was good. There was enough variety that everyone in my group was able to find something they liked. The location was great. Easy access to New River Gorge.

I would have loved a hot tub. Other than that we were very satisfied. We would have loved to swim but the weather didn’t cooperate and the pool was closed for maintenance.

The staff was friendly and the hotel was clean. There were different options for breakfast which was nice.

The noise level was a little high from traffic and the guest above me. My window didn't lock, I was on the second floor so it wasn't that much of a big deal, but still, I would've preferred to have it locked.

The size of the bed was good and the size of the shower was good as well

For me the pillows were too soft which caused me to sink too far in the pillow, also when we went to have breakfast it appeared that the waffle maker was not working or broke and deemed unusable.

Great room for the value. Check-in was easy and fast. Our room was comfortable. Location was good. We were on a road trip and the place was easy to find. On-site parking, well lit.

The breakfast was a little lacking with several items missing due to appliances not working. That part of it could have definitely been better. We were on a road trip so we felt we got shorted a little bit on our breakfast as we were headed out for a full day of travel.

Walked in and room just smelled clean, everything was pretty good except for what's mentioned below. Enjoyed my stay here would definitely be back again.

The bedding was stained. I'm sure that comes with everything being white. Had to hold down the toilet handle to flush it.

Friendly staff, room and entire facility were exceptionally clean, comfortable bed, very nice breakfast, excellent location.

Would be nice to have tip envelopes in rooms for housekeeping staff. They do an exceptional job.

We were greeted by friendly staff. The hotel was clean. The breakfast was hot and the items were varied; the person who was in charge of the breakfast buffet was constantly cleaning and refilling.

I'd suggest asking if a room at the back of the hotel is available because there's a slight bit of road noise.

The beds, bedding and pillows were exceptional!

Breakfast room was too small for all that tried to use it. And we were there on a Thursday and Friday morning. The weekends must be awful.
