Royal Inn Hudson I-94

We arrived a couple hours before check in and we were going to leave and come back as there was an early check in fee however the gentleman came out and stopped us before we left (he wasn't there when we walked in) and let us check in early. The room was clean and the TV was decent sized. Even though it was right by the freeway we could barely hear the traffic.

The room was quite small but fine for the one night we were staying. The bathroom was quite small as well and a larger person may have had a hard time using the toilet.

I stayed here about 2 years ago. I gave it a 10 then and I give it a 10 now. So close off interstate 94. Rooms are incredibly quiet and blackout curtains along with a super comfy bed made sleeping a dream for a weary traveler! I like that the room temperature was so easy for self control. The room itself was spotless and smells clean. Everything needed was provided. The staff was super efficient and friendly. Also given a little welcome bag with water and treats. Fabulous place and great price.

I don’t like that this place doesn’t have a better rating. They deserve it! I think a lot of people rate these Booking.com places comparing them to 4 star hotels. It’s not 4 star hotel it’s a 2 star (meaning there won’t be a pool, valet etc). For a 2 start hotel is should be getting 10s giving it a much higher rating.

Friendly staff. Welcomed me back. Let me know that they now have coffee makers in the room, which was something we had asked for last year. Appreciated that they responded to feedback! They also upgraded my room without my asking. Love the bottled water and snacks they give at check-in. Room was spotless and modern. Amazing how quiet the rooms are despite being right next to the freeway. This is my go-to motel when I'm in the Hudson area.

The bathroom was fabulous -- as nice as the best high-end hotels. But the front of the toilet was really close to the wall, about 12-16 inches away. I'm 5'9", and my knees almost touched the wall. If you're taller or have long legs, you might not be able to comfortably sit on the toilet. I also liked the closet cubby with luggage rack, but it was dark. A light in there would be nice.

The room was nice and clean. Perfect for what I needed it for as a solo traveler who just needed somewhere to sleep for the night.

The only issue I had was my room was on the end and unfortunately, that's where the snow pile was plowed so I didn't have access to my parking spot in front of my room. And when I came in at night, I had to park at the far end, since all of the spots were taken.

Location was very convenient to the traveling we were doing in the area. Room was clean, staff was friendly and professional. Welcome bag was a nice touch.

I'm not sure I would be having the old mattresses sitting outside the hotel with "FREE" spray painted on them. Looked a little tacky.

Even though the outside isn't the prettiest the inside is very nice. Unexpectedly nice based off the outside. Has everything you'd need for a stay. The staff is very kind and there if you need them! The location is also nice. Close to a lot of different food choices and stores like target if you forgot anything. Overall a very nice place to stay, and comfortable!!

Clean, spacious and comfortable room. Upon arrival I was a little worried as it does not look like something I would usually stay in from the outside. Upon entering I was greeted by a very friendly clerk and given a check in gift bag with snacks and water. Parking was right in front of the room. Upon entering my room I was pleasantly surprised at how clean, spacious and comfortable it was. The room had a nice large screen tv with lots of channels, the bed was comfortable, the ac unit worked well and the shower was great. Not really any amenities on grounds but great as just a place to sleep and relax at a very reasonable price. Lots of restaurants close by and located right off of the highway. Would stay again if passing through.

Clean and comfortable. Loved that we got a welcome package. The staff is very honest! My husband forgot his phone, they called us to let us know. We weren't very far and went back to get it. It's an older motel but updated and very nice. Don't let the outside fool you. We were pleasantly surprised😁

Everything was great! Clean property, Very Clean room, Friendly Check in. I was there for a three day stay and my room was cleaned and supplied with fresh towels, etc. everyday! Obviously a local motel where the owners and staff really care about their guests. Any time that I am in the area, the Royal Inn will be my choice for a place to stay!

The room was very clean and freshly refurbished. At check in we received a welcome bag of chips, snacks and bottled water. Parking is the best...you park across the front of your room. Moving in and out is a snap. Not a super fancy place but the perfect setup for a good night's sleep and a shower.

The room was very cold when we first arrived. It took a while for it to get really comfortable.
