Hawthorn Suites By Wyndham Oak Creek/Milwaukee Airport

The location was great, my friends and I were flying out early after a long trip. On our way back from our last stop I checked Booking.com for a hotel and this one had the best price for three adults. I booked a room with three beds and a pull-out sofa. We've been on the road for over a week and have seen some janky hotels for three adults; most have no linen for the sofa. When we arrived, the girl at the desk told me the elevator was broken. Earlier in the week we had a protracted fight with stairs...and women who bring too much luggage. I was skeptical. We went ahead with the reservation, and once we hauled our luggage up to the second floor and opened the door to the room...it was AMAZING. There was a king bed, and a separate room with a queen bed. We didn't even need the sofa. The room had plenty of trash cans, tissues, soap, shampoo, conditioner, and hand lotion. All a gal needs for life on the road! I can't comment on breakfast because we were out too early for that. Ironically, after staying in other hotels for the past week and being disappointed, I am thinking we should have been looking for Hawthorne Suites the whole time.

The lift was broken.

Good breakfast and was very happy that on weekends it is an hour later than the usual time of 9am. We got in very late the night before from a concert and slept in, so the late breakfast was a pleasant surprise. The shades were not the usual curtains which made the room blackout dark which I truly appreciated! The kitchenette was very cute, fully stocked with dishes, pots, pans, and utensils which was really nice! There was even a dishwasher with dish towels and pods for the dishwasher. The area was nice and quiet, loads of restaurants near by

Decor is slightly dated. TV is not in a very good position, on a dresser and not mounted on the wall with a swivel mount. Sofa bed did not pull out all of the way. Fridge was a bit dated and dented also.

False fire alarm at 5:30 AM for like 10 minutes then going off another 5 or 6 times.

It was quiet for the most part except at 5 am when people were out in the courtyard smoking. Room faced the courtyard

The side entry door was not locked and anyone could enter the property at any time. When used the first time the key entry was not active and the door itself had duct tape so it wouldn’t lock. If the keys don’t work it should have been locked at all times and paying customers should have to use the lobby to get in.

Overall a very clean and up-to-date facility. We had a 2 bedroom suite which provided lots of space and a kitchenette. Beds were comfortable, bathroom was very nice. Great value!

Noise: both from highway and from when occupants of next floor up were walking around. Grab and go breakfast had limited choices.

The hotel was easy to find, the room was clean, quiet, and comfortable, and the workers were friendly and useful. There was a kitchen in the suite and a Pick and Save nearby, so I was able to put together a nice dinner.

I was disappointed at breakfast because the scrambled eggs were overcooked from the get-go and there was no bacon (I hate sausage) but the coffee was good and there was other food that was just fine.

The room was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. I slept very soundly throughout the night (something rare for me). Everything was very clean throughout the property. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My husband needed a razor and they provided him with one. I love that they provided brewed decaf coffee at their breakfast bar (not all do).

I appreciated the breakfast. Just wish they would change up the hot food items. Love there's a patio. Unfortunately, it was closed. It could be open. There's a grill I like to utilize and wasn't able to. Love the stove top and full size refrigerator. That's a good start.

The tub drain stopper didn't work. Drain dripped. No key for the safe. Never brought. They don't want you opening the windows. The exercise equipment and washer/dryer needs maintenance. I love this hotel. All these things are fixable.

Only a brief one night stay. Convenient to downtown and southside of Milwaukee. Room has kitchenette for longer stays. Extra large double bed which is fine. Didn’t have breakfast as we were meeting friends elsewhere, but it looked good with some hot and cold dishes.

The bedside lamp was out of commission. We switched out alarm clock plug with light then it worked. Left a note for housekeeping to inform maintenance.

For the most, the beds exceptionally comfortable, a “little “ noise from kids running around but not so much to disturb your sleep. The breakfast was very good, only small choices for hot breakfast but what was there was nice. When we asked for xtra coffee packets for our room, the staff happily took care of us!
