Country House Resort

Breakfast was good but the same every day. Putting out some different breakfast items would be great. Wonderful location in Door County! Great resort with wonderful amenities and fabulous views from the rooms of Green Bay.

The resort is very strict on pets and won't let you leave your pet in the room, even in a kennel. We took my dog everywhere with us, including restaurants, but it was very stressful for him. My dog is crate trained and would have just slept in his kennel while we were out and about, especially when we were going to crowded restaurants and places. I would recommend that the property allow dogs to be left in their kennels while away for dinner and meals at the very least. My dog had a super stressful week.

From the beginning of checking in to when we checked out was one of our favorite trips. The room was very clean, the grounds were so pretty to look at. The shower was our favorite. Two dual showerheads that had great waterpower. Breakfast was more than we could ask for. The cherry yogurt and the sausage were so yummy. Everything was stocked well and with us bringing our pooch it was such a nice touch to have a little basket of goodies for him when we arrived in our room. We had a great time and stay at Country House Resort. We highly recommend and will definitely stay here again.

There wasn't anything we didn't like. No complaints!

I’ve been staying at this hotel for several years now. It’s very clean, rooms were just remodeled, quiet, best view, free breakfast that has plenty of options, very friendly staff, pool and hot tub were quiet and perfect temp. I would 100% recommend this hotel.

There’s really nothing I don’t like. If you want to get nit picky it’s hard to regulate the temperature in the shower. Nothing that would change my opinion of the stay. I’m capable of adjusting the handle occasionally during my shower. It probably has several rooms on one water heater

The resort is in a wooded, quiet location where the rooms overlook beautiful Sister Bay. Our spacious room had a comfortable king sized bed, recliner, big screen TV, and walk-in shower. The balcony, with its table and chairs, would have been a wonderful place to relax in the evening and take in the view of the bay, but we came in the winter. We would highly recommend this resort.

The huge sheets of plexiglass separating office staff from those of us staying at the hotel was off-putting. Open human interaction promotes positivity while living at a place for several days, otherwise the office felt like an urban gas station. I understand that no one wants to get covid, but most places have relaxed their restrictions at this point.

The property was huge, beautiful, and well kept. Scenic view of the bay with water access, activities like kayaking, bicycling, swimming (pool/hot tub, and shore access), room was immaculate! There was even a nature path in the woods, along the bay, that provided a scenic and short walk to town. Employees were friendly, helpful, and personable. Breakfast was included, delicious, and plenty of choices. Off the beaten path, and adults only, made it a perfect escape. Can't wait to return next year!

Unfortunately the pool was closed, but it was late in the season (late September) so really can't complain about that. Hot tub was open and accessible so that made up for it.

The view was fantastic. The staff were friendly and helpful. Having a fridge and a microwave in the room was very helpful. The breakfast items were more than ample. I would definitely return.

The ice in the small parking lot could’ve been salted better and having some lights in that area would help. Walking with a cane was difficult because of the ice cover that’s not appropriately cleared. Given that I’m a Wisconsin resident and I’ve traveled the state often I was puzzled by the remnants of a 2020 Covid approach: bags of breakfast, eating privately in your room, masks, give me the sense of being two years behind. I do understand their caution however as many guests would appreciate that. I thought it was overkill.

Breakfast was ok. The location was great. I thought it was very helpful to have a cart of extra towels, t.paper, supplies in the dining area in case someone needed something. Also, the card in the room regarding housekeeping needs…great idea! The room was very roomy and comfortable. We appreciated being right next door to our friends. The views and location, along with free parking were great!

I think the breakfast could have been better- offering better choices. Also, the pillows were too hard. Options are always good, especially since there were 4 pillows on each bed.

The view was spectacular. My room was very comfortable and the parking was conveniently close. I have never seen so many electrical outlets in a hotel room. The chairs were also very comfortable. Thanks!

It was winter and snowed most of the time I was there so the outdoor walkways and staircases made me a little nervous -- they did a good job of keeping them clear -- but it is worth considering. Ask for a first floor room if you have mobility issues,

So many outdoor activities. The new showers were amazing. Very clean. The grounds were so well kept and beautiful. We had a flat tire and the staff were so helpful. They provided an air compressor and an extension cord. The outdoor pool was heated. That was great for an early in June stay.

The window facing the East brought in the very early light and had no shade. It was difficult to get sleep after 5 am in the loft bed room. Wish we would have brought sleeping masks.

the property was in a perfect location, with beautiful grounds to explore. it was so peaceful and beautiful, even just the view from the room was wonderful. it was clean and cozy plus the free breakfast was great. having a spa bath was an added bonus. fantastic that every room has a view! be sure to explore the property- we saw 5 deer right in front of us on path behind property!

there is not much to complain about, an extra blanket would have been nice but truly an amazing stay overall
