Hotel was in a good location, close to Walmart, gas stations and restaurants. Lobby had nice decorations. Front desk staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast room was spacious. We liked the dining tables in the lobby that were available to use for guests during dinner time. Water cooler was available for guests at the lobby and also a microwave to warm up food at the lobby. Hotel also has a nice indoor swimming pool and a fitness Center. We didn’t use the fitness Center but loved the swimming pool.

The two rooms we stayed in was clean and had all the amenities we needed. One improvement I recommend is to have microwave in every guest room.

I loved our room with 3 beds. It was very spacious. We had plenty of towels and the front desk was happy to give us anything we needed. They are great front desk employees. The breakfast was very good, with several choices. Kids enjoyed the pool. I enjoyed being able to do laundry. Dollar Tree next door and restaurant on other side, we tried it and it was very good. Great View of the Mountains if your heading into Yellowstone...

I didn't like that all but one dryer was broken. I spent a lot of time going up and down checking to see when I could put my clothes in the dryer. It took a lot of time that I could have been doing other things. I loved that you have a waffle maker but when there was a lot of people you had to wait so my suggestion would be to have 2, so customers wait less, especially if you're on a time crunch. The back door into hotel didn't have a lock so anyone could walk in. I'm not sure if it's been reported but when I checked in, I was told that I needed my room key to access that door but that was incorrect but it had NO lock at all. I love the room but no bed is positioned to watch TV straight, your sideways. I suggest turning one of the beds to directly face the TV so it's not uncomfortable.

stayed in the apartment right behind the lobby check -in desk. was quiet and well-sized. African decor in lobby is amazing. the indoor pool was nice. Cold breakfast but many options available to be more than sufficient. plenty of dresser space in bedroom. bathroom counter area is large. and large storage closet, if one needed. right next to a Dollar Tree and close to all Cody town amenities.

kitchen gear is okay- no bakeware, oven mitts, or sink washing equipment (we supplied our own from Dollar Tree). there is a dishwasher and soap provided. the AC in living room had better settings than the bedroom- could not keep fan running in the bedroom so air got quite stuffy. there are no hangers in the bedroom closet. tub/toilet area is extremely small--hard to get in and close door.

Very large king room we had with separate seating sofa and area. Nice TV. Great location for exploring the Black Hills, Custer State Park, and we traveled a day (roundtrip) to Badlands National Park.

Breakfast was poor in our opinion. Even though they had eggs, they were not very good (sitting in standing water), and the sausage was just OK. No waffle maker, but a push-button pancake maker that made rubbery pancakes. No pastry entry, but did have cereal. Poor orange juice machine. Lots of families when we were there, and the kids were left to run free for breakfast making it a bad experience. People have no respect for one another. This was the only downside to the hotel, which itself, was very nice.

I have everything wonderful to say about the staff, friendly, sincere, pleasant and helpful on all occasions. The place was clean, pleasant and comfortable to stay at. The breakfast provided a variety of options, the coffee was hot and tasted fine!

The Kings INN is great, however downtown Cody is becoming a Jacksons Hole tourist center. It is filled with overpriced shops and mediocre restaurants that are focused on extracting every dollar they can. Although we did enjoy eating at "Grannies", staff was pleasant, food was good. The museums were enjoyable as well!

Great breakfast choices. Area was really clean and well stocked. Staff were super attentive and cordial.

The cost of hotel rooms this year are a bit of a sticker shock. Kings Inn was definitely the best for the price charged for hotels in Cody, WY. Inflation is a reality and in a capitalist economy the price of goods & services respond in kind to what the market will bear. It is what it is. We were treated well and the area is safe. A comfortable, great experience.

The breakfast buffet was well tended by one staff member. It was very clean. Zero-sugar maple syrup was offered which is great for the sugar conscious guests!

The actual dining room is stuffed with dead animals. They are kind of dusty and worn. There are way too many creepy stuffed animals in the room and the table seating is compromised as a result. More chairs. Fewer wild animals. I realize that some people love these animals especially kids. I just find it a disquieting setting for a dining area. The over abundance of taxidermy takes away from a quiet lounge area in the lobby where one can sit and read or relax. Most hotels have a nice lobby area. Not this one.

The lobby has an African safari motif so breakfast is located among elephant, lion, rhino and so forth; apparently, the owner is a big game hunter. Although we stayed here for Yellowstone proximity, it's still an hour away. Other attractions closer by are the Old Trail Town (resting place of JEREMIAH “Liver Eating” JOHNSTON (borne in part by Robert Redford)) and the Buffalo Bill Dam.

Go to the nearby Walmart to get guest laundry supplies for one tenth of the price at the property. I thought the machines were a tad expensive until we got to the Kanab UT Comfort Suites and paid double+.

Friendly staff. Quiet location. Laundry room. Comfy bed with four pillows. Lots of towels. Especially like the black washcloths provided for make-up removal. Good lighting in room. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate provided 24-hours a day. Lots of parking. Wal-Mart close by. TV and WiFi good. BBQ restaurant next door. Plenty of other restaurants in area too.

Over-priced accommodation. Limited selection of breakfast items. Only one waffle iron and long line to use that. Refill valve on toilet stuck and allowed water to continue to fill up tank. No room for toiletries in bathroom. Would be nice to have two luggage stands in the room. Dining table in room wabbled. A list of restaurants and map of area would be helpful. A published TV channel guide would have been helpful. Remote didn't show guide.

I enjoyed a huge, beautiful room with a lovely walk-in shower, a very comfortable bed, and friendly, welcoming staff. Pet friendly too! By far the best hotel stay I had in nearly a month of traveling through several US states during May of 2023. The King's Inn hotel exterior and lobby are unique and classy. This hotel also has the ABSOLUTE BEST warm and lovely swimming pool! They also have a laundry area so I was able to catch up on clean clothing during my travels....much appreciated. If you're anywhere near Cody, Wy you must stay at the King's Inn and then drive through the amazing Bighorn Mountains Scenic Byway to the east. The scenery AND this hotel are truly amazing!

Can't say I was fond of the taxidermy animals (that's just me), but they are interesting.
