Usually when I stay in a hotel it is not that comfortable and I look forward to getting back to my own bed. That was not the case with The Cody. The staff made us feel like we were family visiting their home. From top to bottom it was great. The beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. The room was beautiful and had everything you could think of, even a DVD player. The included breakfast was great. Every day they had a large dispenser full of cucumber, lemon and lime infused water for the taking and fresh baked chocolate chip cookies every afternoon. We also loved the pool, hot tub, sauna and weight room. We made good use out of all. They also had a very peaceful room off the main area that had computers and books that you could borrow and another room by the front desk that had snacks, a few things , like jewelry for sale and DVD's that could be checked out for free. Honestly, I think I could have lived there. The location was also real good. It was just west of the downtown area but still really close. There is a sidewalk that can be taken right into town and the hotel has bikes that can be rented. I didn't use it but I believe they offer a shuttle as well. The Cody Cattle Company was right across the street and the rodeo was just kitty corner. It's also a little closer to Yellowstone. I thought it was perfect. If I ever return to Cody I will be staying at The Cody again and I will recommend it to anyone planning a visit.

There was not much that I didn't like but if I have to say something, the only thing I would ask is for them to make the coffee a bit stronger. I love rich, dark coffee but that's me.

BREAKFAST WAS GOOD/A BIT DISAPPOINTING SEE BELOW. FOOD WAS GOOD, DRINKS NOT SO.

THE BREAKFAST ROOM WAS LIKE A SAUNA. TOO HOT FOR ALL CONCERNED!! THE FOOD WAS GOOD BUT THE ORANGE JUICE WAS THE WORST I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. 98% WATER. AND THE COFFEE WAS EMPTY. HAD TO GO TO THE LOBBY FOR COFFEE. THE “ATTENDANDT” IN THE BREAKFAST ROOM WAS OBLIVIOUS TO NO COFFEE AND ORANGE JUICE. Not my job to tell him to get to work. Note: the following day there was coffee but the orange juice was still awful. This was the only downfall of the place as a whole. The motel itself and the rest of the employees were great. Loved the afternoon fresh baked cookies. Motel taxes are getting out of hand in Wyoming. Back off, there are 49 other states to go to.

The property is on the outskirts of Cody and so required a short drive into town for eating, museums, etc. The property has excellent facilities - swimming pool, hot tub, sauna, fitness room and laundry. The foyer is very comfortably furnished for quiet rest or meeting friends. The staff are friendly and accommodating, and the property is actively dog-friendly. The room was quite large and clean, and the beds were comfortable. The room looked out onto the rear of the property - the view was uninspiring. Breakfast was nicely laid out in a large dining room and offered many choices. The coffee was excellent.

Everything!!! Staff is amazing. Truly above and beyond. Pool/Hot tub is open 24/7. My King Suite room was roomy, had a comfortable couch, robes, balcony, and jacuzzi tub. They had free DVDs to watch. Way better than flipping channels. Everything smelled good. For a hotel that allows pets, that is saying something. Such a fantastic hotel.

The only possible drawback I saw is it was super close to the rodeo grounds. Maybe it could be loud. We would not know. We were out past 10pm, so we were not there during the rodeo. But, this could also be a huge plus if you wanted to watch the rodeo.

This far exceeded our expectations. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms were a nice size, clean and elegant. We loved the back door that allowed us to take our puppy outside directly from our room!

I know that housekeeping is not done during the stay, however, it would have been nice if they would come in daily to just empty the trash cans and replace the towels & toiletries. Since we had been getting take out, we had amassed a lot of boxes in our garbage and by the end, the room was smelling like garbage.

We were there to go snowmobiling with Gary Fales Outfitting and had to leave before breakfast would normally be served. To our surprise, after sharing with the desk clerk our departure time the night before, breakfast was ready early! Fantastic!!

Everything was fantastic except the bath mat was stored under the sink outside of the tub/shower room and I forgot to place it in the tub. And that was the first time I ever fell in a tub. Actually, I fell out. No injuries but perhaps you should place the mat over the tub as you do the floor mat. Just a thought.

Beds and pillows were perfect. Shower has great water pressure! Breakfast was hot and good! Staff was friendly and helpful. I got to bring along my dog and they did not charge me an arm and a leg for the pet fee. Everything was upfront and wonderful. It is an old building, so it is not perfect...but it is perfect the way it is. It has an old west feel to it that is truly fun and wonderful to visit.

I liked everything about the Cody.

Amenities were very good. Breakfast was excellent. Staff very helpful. Very clean. Shuttle was a plus. Location was perfect. Nice that the pool and hot tub were available all of the time.

Noise was somewhat of an issue but not terrible. We had a room across from the ice machine, which did have a door but it was always secured open. Latches on the cabinets were a push in style which were loud to close. We could rather clearly hear our neighbors when we were in the sink area. AC/heat fan quite loud when it came on. All of these were not terrible but noticeable. Room was somewhat small, but acceptable.

Clean, spacious rooms. The extras: warm chocolate chip cookies at check in, coffee bar and agua Fresca in the lobby. knowledgeable staff who made solid recommendations on dinner places based on what we like; in the morning, staff helped with planning the day. Breakfast was complete. The iconic photo mural of the Buffalo Bill Cody entourage that is large enough to see all the faces of the folks was fascinating as we got off the elevator. All the small decorative touches everywhere I looked. And just after staying in Yellowstone’s primitive cabins it felt like the Ritz. Well done!

Great location. Easy to get find. Close to the rodeo and stores. The hotel had lots of character. I felt like I was stepping back in time to a wilderness lodge. Everything was clean, staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast had a nice variety of options.

Because the hotel is close to the rodeo, it could be noisy for young children who go to bed early. So, you may want to bring a sound machine!
