This hotel is in a fantastic location. The bed was one of the most comfortable we had in Uzbekistan (most beds have been far too hard - this one was great!). The courtyard was a lovely place to relax and unwind away from the heat. Above all the staff were incredible. Extremely attentive and so kind - we checked out at noon but our train wasn't until after midnight and they allowed us the use of the courtyard, dining area and bathroom throughout the rest of the day so we had somewhere to come to escape the heat/souvenir sellers. They also booked us the taxi to the train station so we didn't have to wander around with luggage (and haggle) late at night.

Minzifa boutique hotel is like a peaceful oasis in the heart of the old city. It's tastefully decorated and the room we had was spacious and quiet. There are also outside spaces where you can spend time at your leisure, in particular the beautiful madrasa inner yard. There's a buffet breakfast. The young guys working at the reception are very nice, helpful and all fluent in English and Russian. Last thing : the hotel is a short walk to Liabi Khaouz and most Bukhara's points of interest.

Everything is perfect but there is just one thing missing : an electric kettle with cups to make tea in the room. It would be a good idea to add this in the rooms.

We recently stayed at this truly captivating hotel housed in an old madrassa. The interior of our superior room was full of authenticity and was simply amazing, transporting us back in time while providing all modern amenities, including a large bathroom with a tub. The reception team was always willing to go above and beyond to make our stay more enjoyable and to provide or find any information we required. If you are interested, they can also organize tours and other activities for you. The hotel's one-of-a-kind feature was its own traditional clothing workshop, which produced truly wonderful, handcrafted pieces. Highly recommended for an immersive and unforgettable stay!

Hidden in the old town. This is a really lovely & authentically restored old medrassa. I think the proprietors said it was 17th century. There are 3 spacious quads forming the entrance and dining areas plus a tranquil seating area. The rooms are comfortable and attractively decorated. All the staff were delightful and exceptionally helpful: way beyond the call of duty.

Currently the hotel doesn’t accept credit cards, which caused a bit of a problem when the ATMs, though numerous, limited the amount of cash they would dispense on foreign cards. However, the hotel characteristically helped us sort this out, seemingly with ease.

Great location in the old town, lovely authentic building, very friendly and helpful staff, huge breakfast - it was memorable stay which we loved. Short walk to all the must-see places yet very quite neighbourhood.

It wasn't the best bed I've slept in my life, yet ok. Accepting credit cards would be a great improvement.

The hotel is an old madrass and it has a ton of charme. The breakfast was good. The room and the bathroom were very clean, which is the most important part. The location is excellent, only a 5 minutes walk from the center (pond area).

Our room had a sort of skylight and it would be super bright early morning, no way to cover that, the ceiling is very tall. No windows. My kids room was instead very dark because it had no window or opening of any sort. It felt a bit like a cave.

This is a fantastic hotel tucked away in the side streets very near the bustling "Lyabi Hauz", effectively the centre of Old Bukhara. The rooms are beautiful- it's hard to explain- it is not a luxury hotel, but so many parts have been hand-crafted- even the roof beams have been exquisitely carved. The art work and textiles on the walls work really well and the whole effect is to create an authentic-feeling place full of character. The staff were helpful, but quite relaxed and stayed in the background, but they were there if I needed help with anything. The breakfast was good, and everything was clean and the place seemed well looked-after. If I ever come back to Bukhara I would not want to stay anywhere else.

It was extremely hot when I was there (46°) so everyone was taking refuge indoors (helped by the great air conditioning!) But it would have been nice to have some communal tables or seating outside. Also the description talked about espresso coffee. This was nowhere to be found though

Great location, very hospitable and friendly staff, great attention to their guests in excellent English. Since the arrival till the moment we left, it felt like home. Stable WiFi connection, new air conditioning system in the bedroom, very spacious and impeccably clean bathroom. The breakfast was amazing, variety, dairy free, and vegetarian, fruit options. Flexibility in paying in local currency or exchange. Would definitely recommend.

As always a personal touch, and the new part of the hotel in fact a beautiful old madrasa is fabulous courtyard and peaceful atmosphere. Would be great if tea and snacks were available in the courtyard for more of the day so one can stay in house. Very helpful staff arranging transport etc. Also a great shop in the basement selling exquisite embroideries, carpets and traditional ceramics. Worth a visit.

Hotel is. great as always, I have watched it develop over nearly 20 years However Too many cars in old Bukhara, ruining the atmosphere. These streets are too narrow for huge cars they should be kept out as they used to be.

The staff were so helpful and kind. They arranged everything we had asked and even reminded us about the bookings. They were always friendly. The breakfast was great and offered early.

The only negative we had was the lack of windows in the room. It’s part of the building given its age so just something to be aware of. There were window type openings in the ceiling which brought in natural light. The wifi sometimes worked in the room.
