A really great boutique hotel in the Old Quarter. Located on a quiet side street/alley between two main streets (one of which with a night market on weekends), the hotel is in a perfect location. The staff were great, easy to communicate with via WhatsApp, provided a map with some great suggestions in the area at check in and checked in each day to make sure I had everything I needed. I had a balcony room with a great view of the streets and rail line below. A great place to sit, especially when the weather gets a bit cooler. Lastly, while I was there a typhoon hit Hanoi. This meant that nothing around was open, and I was unable to leave the hotel. The staff were fantastic throughout this, calling and keeping everyone updated with the latest government updates, providing snacks and dinner for everyone at the hotel and just generally being available. It was quite an unusual and stressful situation, so to have such a communicative, thoughtful and trustworthy hotel was a real blessing. Overall, a fantastic stay and I'll be staying here whenever I'm back in Hanoi.

It's located very close to the Old Quarter, which is lively and bustling, especially with the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival in Vietnam. There are many fun places to visit nearby. Although it's near the market, it closes around 6 PM, so the area becomes quiet and safe at night. It's just a 2-minute walk to Dong Xuan Market, where you can find delicious food, clothes, and souvenirs. Nearby, there's a night market, but unfortunately, it only opens on weekends, so I didn’t get to visit. The staff at the hotel were a big highlight for me. They were friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist, even helping me order a Grab taxi. The location for getting a ride is just a 1-minute walk away. I booked a single room for a short stay, and it was very clean and had all the necessary amenities. If I have the chance to come back, I would love to book a room with a balcony overlooking the train tracks. Overall, a wonderful experience

Lovely stay in a wonderful little hotel. The room was clean, and the bed was huge and very comfy. Would happily stay here again. Roxy was very accommodating and helpful if you needed anything.

Customer service was top notch. They already have a list and map ready for first time travellers to the area, as well as a list of restaurant recommendations nearby the hotel. They were quick to ask if I needed any assistance with airport transportation, as well as keeping in touch ahead of time of my stay. They can organise any trips within Vietnam, if you wish to travel outside Hanoi. Staff were welcoming and warm. Very helpful. Great English ability, so communication was easy if you don’t know Vietnamese. Staff made it very clear that I had booked a room with no external windows. Very few places in Hanoi’s Old Quarter have rooms with a view. I was not disappointed, because I knew what I had booked.

Nothing in particular about the property itself. It’s a great option if you want to be in the Old Quarter. Rooms were clean and they provided the basic amenities. Minimal noise in property. It was located in an alley, so accessing it via car to front door isn’t possible during the day, with stores open. I wouldn’t recommend for anyone with mobility issues to stay in Old Quarter (generally).

I can not recommend it enough. From the moment I booked, the customer service was outstanding. The team went above and beyond to ensure I was well-organised for my trip, offering helpful advice and suggestions on everything from local attractions to transportation. I was always greeted with warm smiles and genuine interest in how my journey had been. Every day, the staff at the desk would ask about my plans, offer recommendations, and check if I needed any assistance. When my flight was unexpectedly delayed, the team handled the situation with incredible efficiency, ensuring my pickup was rearranged without any stress on my part. The room itself was great - clean, comfortable, and with a balcony that offered a view of the train tracks. Despite being near the tracks, the area was surprisingly quiet, and I slept soundly every night. The neighborhood felt safe and peaceful, yet it was conveniently close to Hanoi’s main attractions. I loved being able to walk around and explore as a solo traveler, knowing I was in a secure and welcoming area. I would 100% recommend La Cascada House to anyone visiting Hanoi. Quiet location in the old quarters of Hanoi. The hotel exceeded my expectations. The staff were extremely accommodating and very nice. We felt valued and appreciated. We stayed in Room 701. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. The room had everything we needed including a safe, strong wifi, extension cord, toiletries, hairdryer, luggage rack, and thick towels. As others mentioned, the hotel is located in a quiet alley with wholesale merchants who close up shop at 6 pm. The alley shields the hotel from the city noises, but is walking distance to the center of old quarters.

La Cascada Hotel was one of my most comfortable stays in Vietnam. From check-in to the housekeeping service, everything was perfect. At check-in, the receptionist explained the area in detail and gave me plenty of recommendations on where to eat, which I really appreciated. The room was very comfortable, impeccably clean, and had all the essentials. Having a lift on-site made everything even easier, especially with luggage. I needed to check out very early, so I asked them to arrange a taxi in advance, and the service was excellent. All the staff spoke perfect English and answered all my questions promptly. The hotel is located right within the market, which was very convenient since I wanted to do some last-minute shopping before flying out of the country. Although taxis can’t go directly in front of the building due to the market, they will drop you off just a minute away—this isn’t an issue if you’re on a motorbike. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again when visiting Hanoi. Highly recommended!

Upon checking in the staff were so friendly and incredibly helpful - they provided us with a map of Hanoi old town and circled the main attractions and recommendations. They also provided us with a list of local recommendations of where to eat! The location was great for the old town and although the hotel was a little bit tricky to find at the start, this meant that it was also very quiet. The room itself was huge, incredibly clean, good water pressure in the shower and the bed was very comfy. Every member of staff was always smiling and happy to help with anything we needed!

Quiet, clean and comfortable - amongst the hustle and bustle of the Old Quarter but still felt like a retreat to come back to and sleep. The best part was the amazing staff, everyone was so kind and caring - we felt really looked after with bespoke advice for us. They also booked an airport transfer for us which was seamless. Originally only booked for 2 nights but extended as it was perfect for what we were after!

Honestly nothing! Only thing to note is some of the rooms on the first floor don't have views out to the street - so worth specifying if that's important to you. But it didn't matter to us!
