We loved our stay at Tam Coc Family Hotel. We stayed over Tet (Lunar New Year) and knew we would have to stay at the hotel while things shut down. The room was spacious and we were checked on if we needed anything daily. The pool was clean but the weather was too cold when we were there. The family that run the hotel are the real highlight. They treated us like their own family and invited us to their Tet celebrations, offering us food and happy water to bring in the new year together. It was the highlight of our time there. They also explained the area when we first arrived and booked a day tour where the son of the family drove us round the top attractions, and waited whilst we went in and explored. The breakfast was lovely each morning with a few options to pick from. Everything was made fresh and we enjoyed the opportunity to sit and drink tea with the parents of the family. I would highly recommend staying here whilst in Tam Coc/Ninh Binh.

We had the best time here with mamma. Never felt so warmly welcome - mamma went above and beyond to make sure we were looked after and gave us all the local insight. We were able to easily book tours and rent a bike. We had a comfy stay and we loved the freshly made breakfast every morning - fantastic cooks! Location is great very walkable to all the great restaurants, bars and shops while being down a quieter street. Loved the night vibes here walking around and trying all the food. Really felt like family with mamma, we also met Papa, her son who runs the restaurant (Tam Coc Kitchen) and her daughter. Nicest people! We definitely don't get this level of service in Australia and we know it will be a big highlight of our trip around Vietnam! You won't regret staying here highly recommend!

Mama and her family are the most wonderful, welcoming, helpful and friendly people in the world. You are literally welcomed with open arms to this hotel and they can't do enough for you, whether it is booking tours and drivers, giving you snacks and water to take out on your day trips or giving you tea and/or happy water when you get home. Breakfast is delicious and generous and the coffee is good. Rooms are clean, spacious, and well equipped. Comfy beds too. Nice and quiet location set back from the main street in Tam Coc it is still perfectly centrally located close to the restaurants, bars and shops. I felt like part of the family and was very well looked after during my stay and would absolutely come back on another visit to the area! Thank you so much! Will miss you all x

This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in Vietnam. Everything is excellent and great. Mom and dad who are the host of this family treating us so well and making us feel like home. They also helped us arrange the amazing tour by car and booked us the ticket to Cat Ba island. The room is spacious and clean with the top-notch amenities. The swimming pool was clean and well-maintained. This beautiful hotel located in the heart of the Tam Coc with so many local nearby restaurants and it is really conveniently close to popular attractions. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, peace and relaxation!

The best place we have stayed in Vietnam. The hotel is in a great position in the town, just set back down a quiet side road, the room was very clean, bed was comfortable and the hosts were so friendly. They gave us water for our day trips and let us leave our luggage with them until our bus in the evening, despite checking out in the morning. Lovely breakfast each day and help with booking tours/transfers etc

There was nothing we didn’t like; only feedback would be that the shower was not the warmest, but it was fine for us.

Everything here is amazing and comfortable…. The hosts are some of the nicest sweetest people you will ever meet…. Beds are comfy hot water with good pressure and the house is very cool with a nice pool for a dip after a hot day of touring around town. I really can’t say enough about the people that host this place anything you need they are willing to go above and beyond to accommodate the guests. Highly recommend Tam CoC Hotel when you are staying here it’s like staying with family.

As others have found, the family, especially "Mama" who run this are very friendly, welcoming, and helped us book transport. All was straightforward and proper in the tally of charges for our transportation on check out.

This was below what we typically paid elsewhere in Vietnam (usually $40-50 range), thus in retrospect we could not expect the room to be on the same level as where we stayed in at our usual price point. Booked because of the great reviews of the operating family and it did not disappoint in this respect; the well maintained home is in a quiet area with a lovely courtyard. However, our (budget) room was small for us as you could not walk on one side of the bed, the air conditioner did not work very well, we could not find a plug for either the fridge or kettle. It was clean and hot water for the shower was plentiful.

I instantly felt at home, from the warming loving family to the property itself. It’s down a secluded alley away from the buzzing bar strip. There’s amenities in the room, and the room is lovely, comfortable and very clean. Coffee in the room was an added bonus for a relaxing wake up. We only had one night and I was so sad to leave mama !! She is kind, caring and so helpful. We had a sleeper bus after our one night stay. She let us leave our bags all day and then shower late at night with fresh towels. She then poured us many cups of warm green tea before leaving. I urge you to stay with this family for your home stay and make the effort to go to their restaurant for the goat ! It was exactly the Vietnam experience I hoped for and I’d come back to stay in a heart beat.

Our stay at this hotel in Tam Coc was absolutely wonderful ! We spent 3 nights here and felt truly welcomed by the owner, who was incredibly kind and attentive. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable. Every morning, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast that was fresh and full of flavor. The atmosphere was peaceful, and the hospitality made our experience even more special. We highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Tam Coc !

Mama. She was our best host yet of our 3 months of traveling. She took care of us! I liked her day plan / motorbike tour of the area. She and her husband treated us to lots of tea (and some moonshine). We liked being able to borrow bikes for a nominal fee. She fed us well at her family restaurant. When Ieft behind my kindle at the room (we rushed out of there), she was able to arrange for it to be delivered to Hanoi. The family of the family hotel really went above and beyond!

There was no heating system in the room and it happened to be really cold in the room! Not much to do about that.
