Holiday Inn - Lusaka, an IHG Hotel0

Almost everything. I can’t think of anything that even bothered me. Pretty close to perfect. If you are a couple then holiday inn should pretty much beat or match your expectations by a mile.

I wish I came here with a significant other and not my dad. But this isn’t their fault. We wish there were twin beds in holiday inn. At almost half a thousand dollars for two nights it’s a wee bit expensive but it was a much needed break. Also I prefer bidet showers over wiping but that’s a personal preference that I can’t hold against holiday inn as this is a wiping country.

We loved everything about this hotel. Everything is fresh, clean and new. The rooms had everything we needed in them, including an iron and ironing board. Also had lots of plugs and USBs for us to use. The bed and bedding was super comfortable--we really like how they invested money in having more higher end bedding and great beds. The breakfast offered so many great and delicious options for everyone--likely one of the best breakfasts we've ever had in a hotel in Lusaka. We even ate mutiple dinners in the restaurant--all was good. The front desk staff and restaurant staff were very friendly and accommodating. This is our new favorite hotel in Lusaka...hopefully they won't raise the price too much for us to enjoy it again in the future.

The amount on booking.com is the exact amount you pay. You pay a deposit of $40 which is returned after checking out. I liked that. The rooms are so much better than what you see on the pictures. I hate pictures that look better than the actual place. The beds are so comfy and they provide a hard and soft pillow labeled at the corner, that was good. The linen was clean. The rooms were neat and cozy. The wifi was so fast just like the guy who checked us in had told us, so the staff at reception have a good rating because of his honesty and making sure the internet is fast enough so that his confident about it to the customers. Stayed for 1 night and I liked it. There’s air conditioning in the rooms. The price is good. The staff are great. At check out Petronella got us a ‘taxi’ more like an Uber , you can’t get one without a Zambian line. The driver helped us navigate through the city as we did our errands. The receptionist was kind earning the staff members a good rating. The water from the bathroom showers was hot. A good thing. The bathroom was well maintained no rusty items. They were also clean however from I was eager to observe the shower that’s always being commented upon by most reviews. Sadly yes there’s absolutely nothing you can do to stop water from getting out of the shower cubicle. It actually ends up making a tiny pool outside the cubicle. However this didn’t ruin my bath neither did it irritate me. Maybe in future when renovating, they should fix this, my suggestion.

The dinner was not up to standard. It doesn’t even compare to how good the place is. The juices they serve when welcoming guests are so appealing but not so good on the palate.

Breakfast was good. Variety served 😊. Precious was kind enough to help my baby and I throughout all our breakfast meals during our stay. The receptionist who checked us in was very helpful, Gina I think. Kind and patient. Rooms well maintained, AC was working perfectly well, clean linen. Wifi was on point, very fast.

Bathrooms are a bit too cramped, small. Moment you’re out of the shower you’re literally facing the toilet 😞

Location was good, good area and close to town. Good size of room, on the whole the cleaners did a good job. Excellent breakfast, wide choice. The chef also prepares good lunches and dinners. The menu included zambian dishes. Access to swimming pool.

Noisey aircon could not cool room below 20 degrees.

The breakfast was up to standard, though i didnt managed to get a big choice on tea bags provided, and also the first morning there were no lemons. if possible if you can have a variety of different types of food everyday. Well done to your waiter Oliver, he is very good with the customers, always having a brighter face.

I think if you can also provide a full house dinner with different types of foods or buffet just like breakfast rather than having the same type of food in the evening if you are staying for more days. also the staff should try to have good customer care, some front officers and waiters please they need do better. Kudos to Oliver he was very good with customers.

Lovely, cheerfully decorated hotel. I think it had been redone recently so everything felt clean and fresh. The room was modern, very comfy beds. Excellent WiFi connection. We didn’t eat at the hotel so I can’t comment on that

Nothing really. Everything was great! The food and drinks menu was expensive but I think that’s the case in most hotels

The breakfast was good, with plenty of choice for everyone. The old Intercontinental sign needs to be removed and the Holiday Inn sign needs to be highlighted a bit better, especially for those who do not know the area well.

The phone in my room needed attention but was not dealt with. The room service menu also needs to be provided in each room. Small points but attention to detail is important.

I like the availability of iron in the room. Some of my clothes needed ironing.

there was no towel when i checked in. I wanted to take a shower after I checked in but there was no towel. Was brought after an hour. Tooth brush and tooth paste not available. No hair drier.

The breakfast was amazing as their was so much option. The location to close to key malls for visiting when you are free and all the cab drivers understand the location. Kudos HI
