Location and having a fridge and microwave in the room. Clean and bathroom with the necessities.

As it is an old building, the windows don't filter much the noise of people on the street and airplanes. Not to have a receptionist or person who could take my payment via EFTPOS on arrival as requested, The person who gave me my room details and codes at the drive-in didn;t take my payment when I checked-in and asked. When I asked when I could do so, I was told that I could the next morning but it was closed. And it happened again later.

The room and bathroom were nice, clean and modern. The bed was very comfortable. Will definitely return. We checked-in very late and the person at reception talked us through how to check in independently and made sure the next day everything went well by following up with a phone call. Very close to the airport! Great experience :) The next day we had breakfast at a lovely cafe by the Swan river close by to which we never would have gone, if we wouldn’t have stayed at Sterling Arms Hotel. The cafe was called “Riverside at Woodbridge”. Phenomenal breakfast and cakes with a lovely view too!!

1st world problem I guess: The pillows were brand new and really high, so I preferred to sleep without one. But my partner liked it and it’s just a personal preference to have smaller and larger pillows :)

Comfortable large room , great revamping of the room .Spacious bathroom and toilet.Beautiful old pub. The history was interesting. The restaurant meals were plentiful and tasty , and the restaurant was very noisy. The bed was comfortable.

Being a Friday night, it was hard to get to sleep with the band playing just below my room till late. The hotel was on the plane route, so loud planes were above, and train bells rang from the train down the road. So, it was not a restful night. Under the bed was not clean as there was shot glass under it and dirty when I dropped something and went retrieve it. I'm a bit disappointed with that.As it's a lovely room. Not for the older generation as there were 3 flights of stairs to climb to get to room. It's not a great location for a country person,very noisy.

I remember the SA in years past and would never have thought to stay there. Loved the reno and the history - a complete turnaround. Very good value for money. Spacious room with huge bathroom. Super convenient location close to trains as I didn't have a car. And the Guildford village ... What a great idea to have vouchers for food/drinks instead of daily housekeeping. Solves staff shortage issues and contributes to sustainable living. I will definitely be recommending this place to friends & family and stay again when I'm in Perth.

Those flat sinks - water goes everywhere ... Low taps that you can't get the kettle under... Would have liked a small coffee table and chairs - plenty of space available.

Staff - Amazing and couldn't do enough to make sure you were comfortable. The bar and beer garden was a great place to sit back and relax. Great music, great food. We had a fantastic weekend stay. Will definitely go back.

Maybe, a second bathroom or toilet in the apartment when it can sleep up to 10. But, one bathroom worked for us, there were 6 adults. I also respect how difficult those kind of additions can be.

We loved the way the rooms were decorated here! Obviously it's an old building so from the outside it doesn't look like much but the rooms are modern, yet they still have features (such as the old fireplaces) that tie in beautifully with exposed brick walls and modern finishes. The bed was really comfortable and the aircon worked well. We checked in through the bottle shop and the guy we spoke to was really great! He got us checked in quickly and took us to our room. Guests of the hotel also enjoy discounts at the attached pub which is a nice touch!

As far as the location goes this is a fantastic spot to explore Guildford and the surrounding Swan Valley. However, the ONLY thing I can imagine people might have an issue with is how close it is to the train line. So in the evenings and early mornings you do hear the train pass. This wasn't an issue for us personally but is worth a mention. The walls are also quite thin so we did hear our neighbours conversation at one point!

These rooms have been beautifully upgraded and it is comfortable and clean. Good linen good beds good pillows. Close to train line and at least ten good restaurants. Easy drive to swan valley or hills for exploring.

The clowns in the next room who kept me up all night. Don't go the balcony rooms unless you smoke or don't mind noise.

Left before breakfast was open. Despite being above the beer garden at the Pub Room, was dark and quiet, Air con made dealing with humidity very tolerable. Meals were delicious and well priced. Bar staff were friendly and vaping was allowed on some tables. The misters were great.

Was given a small room but on complaint they upgraded us to the one we were expecting. However later in evening another couple entered our room, there was no embarrassment so I’m sure it was sorted with them.

The hotel was gorgeous, the manager and the staff were incredible! Super lovely and friendly which made our stay that little bit better! The room was lovely! Super clean and the bed was comfy as. 10/10 will deffs come back again!

Only downside was there was no wifi but that was only due to the storm.
