Famous Hotel Kuta Formerly Permata Kuta Hotel

Booked room has no natural light so staff moved me to a poolside room without fuss. Even though on a major thoroughfare, the hotel was set back a fair way so noise was not an issue. Lots of cheap eateries nearby and the upmarket Pepito supermarket was only a few hundred meters away. Bed was comfortable and plenty of hot water for the shower.

Breakfast was Indonesian style but was tiring due to the other local guests gawking at the "foreigners". Hotel layout is kind of weird, mainly to accommodate the rooms over looking the pool but it took a while to get used to and I needed to meet any guests to lead them through.

After reading reviews we had low expectations, so very pleasantly surprised. We had a comfortable clean room, hot water, and the staff were lovely. We enjoyed the pool and enjoyed drinks at the swim up bar. It is a 20 minute walk to a nice beach, with plenty of shops and markets along the way. It's not far form the airport.

The noise of the mosque or similar is loud. We were at the rear of the hotel so it would be worse at the front.

The staff were exceptional, our flight was delayed meaning we arrived a day late and they moved our booking to the next day without having to ask or any extra charge. Incredibly friendly and helpful. Great value for money. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

The private drivers are very pushy about doing tours, using them all the time and tried to charge us extra on top of the agreed price at the hotel. Not a fault of the hotel but be wary of the drivers!

Great Location. Staff slways friendly. Love all the local food vendors and warungs nearby. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Lovely room 105 by the pool. Good undercover to park your scooter.

Breakfast is limited and quite bland. Only redeeming feature was an egg selection.

Nothing. Our first trip ever to Bali has been amazing, only enhanced by the help and kindness of Ketut and all the staff.

We booked a room to freshen up for our flight home as we had just traveled back from Nusa Lembongan. The pool is being! You feel like your a world away and then you walk out the front and bang! in the thick of it all!

Army barracks over the road. A little disconcerting hearing gunshots - but only noisy from 9am

The hotel is near the airport and It has a good swimming pool and nice rooms for the price

The rooms with views to the interior has not too much natural light
