EDEN Hotel Kuta Bali

Location - spent my last few nights here and only a 5 min drive to the Airport. 5 min walk to the beach and plenty of shops and eateries as soon as you walk out the front door.. Value for money - only paid $32 a night. Room was very clean, bed comfy, shower hot, hair dryer, complimentary shampoo / conditioner, little balcony, cable TV (Aus channels), no wifi issues and good size pool with pool bar (also a seperate kiddies pool which is in the photo I've attached taken from my balcony). Water temp in pool was good, plenty of sun throughout the day and no issue at all getting a lounge by the pool. Food - the food in the restaurant was delicious and prices were extremely cheap for a Hotel eg beautiful dish of chicken and veges, similar to stir fry, was only $6 (didn't have breakkie but purchased lunch and dinner a couple of times) - there was also a large outside area part of the restaurant (elevated) and was great sitting, eating and watching activity on the street.

Upon checking in at scheduled time of 1400 hours, room wasn't ready - however staff hurried it along and 15 mins later was good to go - provided a complimentary drink whilst waiting which was nice and considerate. There were a few large groups arriving around check in time and only 3 reception staff working so others seemed to be waiting a while (but hey, kick back, enjoy the complimentary drink and people watch right 😊).

Front desk agent upon checkout was incredibly helpful. I was short 10,000 IDR for the taxi to the airport because I was informed of the incorrect price by the taxi company and could not pay with a credit card due to a glitch with the taxi app. To ensure I did not miss my flight he gave me 10,000 IDR. The gesture meant a lot and really demonstrated hospitality. I don't have his name though hope the property can find out and give him recognition for his kind gesture.

Need to do more maintenance because i came last time before corona everything was great, now everything look very old and luck of maintenance, the wooden floor near swimming pool is broken and my foot was slipped inside between the wood.

Was so worried when I read the reviews, was contemplating to cancel and book another hotel boy am I glad I didn't. Staff was so nice, attended to all our needs nothing was too much for them. Location was fantastic, breakfast was good enjoyed it very much would have liked cereal for kids and abit of a western breakfast choice too but really cannot fault it as it was tasty. Did I mention the staff??? Well I just have too again most friendly bunch of people I have come across in a very long time. All of which I encounter always has a smile on their face, always greets, would go out of their way to make your stay even more pleasant. I would definitely visit Eden hotel again.

Toilet smell wasn't that nice was bearable but could be looked at.

The check in staff were on the ball and friendly. The room overlooked the pool and was spacious and breezy when the door was and balcony was open. Aircon made it a nice dry haven after walking around all day. Decent bathroom and shower. Restaurant staff was attentive and efficient. Breakfast buffet was fresh and tasty. Location was central to my needs...it's smack bang in old-school Kuta.

You're going to have to get a short taxi ride if you want to eat at a babi guling warung or vegan cafe but that's easy with plenty of taxis around. Lots of places to eat though with the nearby Indian restaurants a standout.... and of course you can walk north to your heart's content.

The location of the hotel was very good! Many restaurants, malls, beach and waterbom right around the corner. The breakfast was an ok buffet, not very special but not bad either. The room was also big sized!

The biggest thing that we didn't like was the smell of the tovels. Some of them smelled like old sweat and some of them like marihuana. We asked to change the towels but it didn't make any difference. Another thing was poorly functioning shower. This, though, might have been the problem with our shower only. Third thing was wifi. It worked well on the lobby abd restaurant but didn't work at our room almost at all even though we had full bars on the wifi. Becides these problems, we really enjoyed our time there!

I love the buffet brekkie and just enough though not too amazing so do not compare with international hotel. Menus are some local Indonesian breakfast menu available like congee, local style omelette, fruits (3-4 types), fried rice, pasta (unsure why it is a part of breakfast menu) and some breads/pastries. The price per night is definitely excellent plus they offer pick up and drop off for 90K rupiah per way. Very affordable! Oh I was very grateful they had 1 international socket ready to use.

The in room phone is from 20 years ago (yellow/old) and the dial kind of fell off. They do not have complete toiletries only tooth brushes/tooth paste and a body wash/handwash/shampoo/conditioner dispenser machine in the shower and sadly our wattle kettle alao did not work.

Value for money, the staffs are friendly, good interior design, pretty spacious the lobby, swimming pool, room location and balcony facing swimming pool. Inside the room is clean. Hotel location is around the center of kuta area, walking distance to some of nice restaurants, shopping mall, night clubs. Superb, definitely will come back here again next trip.

The location was superb, it's in the middle of 2 big malls, numerous restaurants and spas. The room was spacious, though you may see how old it is. The breakfast is nice and has quite a selection. The staffs were all friendly and all smiles. The parking is also easy if you want to rent a bike or car during your stay.

The property is a bit old. The amenities are limited.
