Riu Palace Las Americas - All Inclusive - Adults Only

This was our first all-inclusive stay and first time in Mexico and we had a blast!! Highly recommend this resort. The staff were super nice and friendly, we enjoyed the food options, the beach was nice, and all activities were so fun (e.g., foam party, beach bash, etc.). The location was great and we felt safe. It's close to the "downtown" area, across from local shops, and close to the ferry to Isla Mujeres.

There was nothing we disliked! The only thing we wished for was longer open hours for facilities (e.g., the gym closes at 8pm but we wish it closed later, we missed some of the restaurants meals, etc.).

I selected RIU Palace Las Americas Adults Only because of their clean beach after a long research of the Caribbean cost this summer. As you know Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean sea experience serious Sargasso's contamination of the sea waters and the beaches. The beach/water was in perfect condition during my stay the first week of July 2023 and I enjoyed to the fullest. They have also 2 big infinity/party pools and one smaller and more private pool on their premises in great conditions as well. If you are party person you will like this hotel and their full stocked with alcohol dispensers rooms as well. I did not stay all the time in the hotel so my main experience was related to the beach when I was there. I love the beach waiter who was bringing fresh drinks non stop. Great guy. :)

The main shower head was not working in my room but honestly this time decided to tell them on my leaving instead of wasting my time trying to fix room issues. I had a fan above the bed and it can get really cold in the room and I don't like blowing in my head as well. I did not figure out how to stop the fan when the electricity was on and I forgot to ask them as well. I just wanted tranquiller vacation this time so I ignored small issues on purpose.

They let the towels folded in the room in an animal shape it was very cute and a nice detail. Staff was very helpful and nice. The shows ar night were good. The food at the buffet was quite good.

Loud music in the afternoon when we wanted to take a nap. They allowed people to bring their own music at the beach or pool and it was annoying sometimes. It is ok that there is a pool with music but the other or the beach people should be able to enjoy the sound of the waves.

great, close to eevrything, the front desk gets you better deals on taxis than you do yourself! Food amazing, bars amazing, pools and beach front location to die for.

Rooms a little out-dated but still nice!

Junior room should have a tub. My partner and I were disappointed that we didn’t have one in the room; though for the price point we should have been issued a room with a large tub.

The attention by the staff is great, they are on top of every details!

They could have a service including transportation from the hotel to parks or excursion. Taxi are a reap off in the area
