Presidente InterContinental Cozumel Resort & Spa, an IHG Hotel

This property in Cozumel is absolutely perfect, with a clean beach with white sand and crystal clear water and beautiful landscaping throughout! We went there for our honeymoon and we got an Oceanview room which was simply perfect for us. The beach has tons of seating so it never felt crowded or congested at any point. The service staff and the housekeeping staff worked so hard, they are amazing, they literally work their butts off and somehow manage to always be smiling, friendly and polite. Every single employee wore a mask AND wore them correctly! I don't know how they train their staff but, it is working, keep up the great work! There are 4 restaurants on the resort, we ate at each one, even the two upscale fancy ones, and we found that the more budget-friendly El Caribeno restaurant knocked it out of the park every single time. We quite literally became addicted to their food and even now two months after our vacation, we are having withdrawals! You have to try their tamarind margarita, the bar at this specific restaurant was the best out of the rest of the bars! The seafood is spectacular and a must-try too! The service staff and the bartender there are so attentive and hardworking! We did not see any employee who was not nice, except for this one girl at the front desk that checked us in. She tried to "upgrade" us to a pool view room when we booked an "Oceanview" room and got upset when we told her we don't want that. Every time we would greet her thereafter during our stay, she wouldn't even say good morning, she was the only rude employee we encountered (one bad apple out of the bunch).

That we couldn't stay here longer! We are going to return and take our son there next time!

Absolutely beautiful decor,amazing staff. , the small beach and pools were lovely (infinity pool is gorgeous ) and crystal clear water. No seaweed. Tasty food in restaurants, breakfast was fantastic. Brilliant scuba shop and my partner did some diving which he loved, really well organised.

All staff wear masks all the time. At the buffet, someone reminds people who forget to wear masks while at the buffet. The covid tests you need to re-enter the US are convenient and easy to arrange. Mexico is far more serious about Covid than the US although the taxista explained that there are anti-vaccine idiots in Mexico as well. If you are concerned about expenses, don't stay here, but it is a 5 star hotel. Staff from housekeepers to porters to receptionists are uniformly competent and friendly. It is a well-designed hotel on very large grounds. There are 3 separate beach areas and a spacious gym with ceiling to floor glass views. The plant life is amazing. The room indoor-outdoor showers where you can shower and see the stars in a mostly enclosed area with a large ceiling shower was great. Problems are addressed immediately. When our bathroom roof began leaking, they immediately arranged for us to move and discounted the cost of that night. Cristian was quite helpful in arranging the new room. The food was excellent at 3 of the 4 restaurants we went to. It was nice that the airport is only 20 minutes from the hotel, town is 5-10 minutes by car or 30 minutes by hotel bicycle.

The Hotel is located south of San Miguel on Cozumel. It has a nice park-like setting and a nice beach. The water is perfect for snorkeling and diving. The rooms and the the buildings are of age, nevertheless you can tell that the furniture and the rooms have a classy and elegant feel. The rooms are spacious, as well as the bathroom with the shower and the toilet. The air condition was working perfectly, nevertheless there was always a musty and moist smell in the room. The room of our kids did not have this smell. The bar/fridge was filled up everyday with beer, coke and water and the coffee machine from Nespresso was also freshly equipped everyday with new tabs. The terrace was equipped with a comfortable sofa and was only 20 m away from the pool, which is about 25 m long and also suitable for swimmers. The gym has top notch equipment, is very clean and open 24/7. The four restaurants are located around the main pool/beach area. The quality of the breakfast was really good, fresh juices, fresh cooked eggs and omelettes and a very diverse buffet. The waiter were very attentive and quick.

One building of the Hotel was renovated and the noise was substantial, pneumatic hammers, circular saws and angle grinders at a level that really surprised me for a hotel like this. In the booking.com description was no notice of any kind regarding the construction site and the noise. When I complained, the staff told me that I already received an upgrade ( nevertheless they did not mention this to us when we checked in ). They gave each room a discount of 150 Dollars for the inconvenience. We could use the money for the restaurants and the bars. The pricing in the Hotel was also horrendous. A normal meat Taco (3 pieces) for about 18 Euro is just too much, even though it is an InterContinental Hotel.

Gorgeous beach, comfortable large and beautiful room. Very nice pools. Breakfast restaurant has gorgeous ocean view and pretty good buffet. Nice staff. Plenty of space but not a horribly long walk anywhere like some resorts. Nice that scuba and snorkel tours can pick you up by boat right at the hotel's dock in front of the restaurant! So convenient. Concierge and taxi stand were helpful and friendly.

We come to Mexico for the incredible fresh flavorful food and felt like the resort food at all the restaurants here was was very kind of bland and so much more expensive than at even a pretty nice local restaurant. Wish they just had a taco truck or something casual. It's also a longish taxi ride into downtown to get to a good place to eat so people end up staying at the resort. We didn't have the energy to go into town so we ate most meals here and they were just ok. The incredible beach you can't find anywhere else in Cozumel made it worth it though! We split our time at another hotel that was walking distance to yummy food.

This is one of the nicest resorts we have ever stayed at. It has everything - beautiful pool, beach, atmosphere - but we especially loved that there are many spots for great snorkeling right at the hotel. We got the included breakfast which was amazing - especially the waffles and juices. We hope to come back one day!

We were happy with the room except that I suppose due to renovations, it smelled very strongly of paint when we got there. The hotel is a bit far from alternative places to eat - you have to take a taxi if you don't want to eat at the hotel. It was also unfortunate that the only restaurant at the hotel serving Mexican dishes closes before dinner - so for dinner you have choices, but I didn't go to Mexico to eat Thai or Italian. Finally, although most of the front desk staff was nice, the lady who checked us out was really quite unfriendly and uncommunicative and self-important. It kind of left a bad impression when we left, as everyone else was so professional.

Imagine being greeted by a cold moist towel and freshly pressed juice when you arrive! Everything was very accessible but not cramped. Two pools. Three beach entrances. Four completely different restaurants. ROOM SERVICE!! The people who worked there were genuine when the spoke to you. Always Spanish first. If you don’t know Spanish you’ll learn some! But they switch to English if you don’t. I found hearing Spanish made me feel at home. The food was top notch. The slit grilled lobster tail I ordered at the beach bar, best food I’ve ever had in my entire life! Food and drinks are not included. HOWEVER, in some rooms there’s a stocked mini fridge free and water bottles free daily. Remember to tip! I’ve never seen cleaners. like theirs! Do Not forget the Spa! Ask for Brenda! Can’t speak highly enough!

I found the scented toilet paper odd but not bad. Don’t order the sushi if your an aficionado. You’ll be disappointed.

Beautiful, not crowded, hospitality, resources and amenities plenty!

We had requested rooms adjoining or next door to our teenagers and at the last minute they were unable to accomodate and rooms were not available of time. The only other negative was the room my husband and I were in was very musty. They brought in a dehumidifier but we had to have our laundry done on site so it didn't smell sadly.
