Fitzherbert Regency Motor Lodge

We thought the management of the motel was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. Situated very close to the Esplanade is a real bonus. Walking in the Esplanade each morning was delight.

Maybe a table to sit and have breakfast would be something to include.

Clean and tidy room, the spa bath was amazing and there was a lovely selection of soaps and body washes to use as well as plenty of towels and a lovely high pressure shower, bed was comfy and warm with an electric blanket,the room was nice and warm also with a heat pump and lots of furnishings, staff were friendly, definitely would stay again

I couldn't figure out how to turn the TV on as there was only a sky remote, I eventually found the buttons on the side of the tv and there was no phone to call reception, also not information about the hotel or breakfast options in the room which is always handy, wifi router plug kept falling out of the wall so wifi would cut out, lots of trucks coming through very early in the morning so was a little noisy, there was only one glass and room was for up to 4 people so maybe a few more glasses otherwise there was plenty of cutlery and serveware

Normally when I go away, I don't sleep well. The bed just isn't quite right, the feel, the support etc. I slept like a log on this bed and was lovely and refreshed in the morning. The bed comfort was for sure the highlight

There were a few ants in the room, but that's only minor and didn't effect our stay at all. That type of issue happens all over the place. It certainly wasn't swarming with ants, just a couple here or there.

Yoki at reception was brilliant. Very friendly and helpful, showed us where things were and even provided some milk. The room was clean and well stocked with things we needed. Its very close to the centre of Palmerston North. There is a ton of food outlets for every budget. A lot of nice stores. Great cycle ways as well, nicely set out. Easy to navigate around PN.

I liked everything. No negatives about the stay, execept for a cold toilet seat lol.

The Receptionist (Sunday check in around 2:30pm) was stellar, she gave us such breezy service, we definitely felt the home comforts we hope for on holidays! The suite was wī! Stocked with essentials and the toiletries smelled oh so good! Cleanliness was ka pai! & extra towels were supplied inside the bathroom vanity! I’m very grateful to the cleaning tīma who came while we went out on our 2nd day to freshen the bathroom, toiletries (including replacing used towels) and coffee station (even the dirty dishes I’d left myself for “later” lmao shame on me)! I appreciated this heavily bc we are an antisocial whanau, we wouldn’t have asked for more towels or anything really; so extra grateful the initiative was theirs and that there wasn’t a lacking in any area of our stay ❤️🥰 The Lodge is a walkable distance to town/amenities, also a bonus that it is neighbouring to parks; super convenient for the kids entertainment. Not only would I recommend this motor lodge to others, but we look forward to staying here again in the future! Nō reira, Nga mihi nui e tīma!

Such a warm a friendly welcome at reception. Our motel room was very comfortable and cosy. Very comfortable bed. Every place we needed to go to was pretty much right around the corner so that was a bonus. Very lovely housekeeping ladies.

When we used the toaster and jug at the same time the power kept cutting out. Maybe we had all our devices charging at the same time too. Other then that everything was great and I will definitely come back.

We like coming here, friendly helpful staff, nice rooms and very comfortable. Has everything you need.

Theres usually some minor issues in the rooms we stay in, like no extension cord to connect the electric blanket for the far side of the bed, no frying pan, bathroom door not locking, and 3 of each cup and dish but only 2 of each cutlery?! Other than that, these are not major things and we still choose to come back.

Room size, location

I didn’t know about 2% credit card surcharge until I got to the reception and saw the sign there. When I prepared to pay with eftpos, I was told they’ve already charged me on my credit card. They should at least have told me about the surcharge early or give me a chance to choose how to pay.

Staff member was very friendly and very quick to deliver when we needed extra towels. The room was very spacious with an extra large bathroom. The beds were comfy.

The wifi connection in our room was very poor, ot didn't work most the time and the sky tv didn't work propery either. The room was very cold upon arrival but the heatpump warmed it up after a while. The top level of the room then became much much warmer than downstairs. The carpet was also stained.

friendly staff,the place was beautiful nice and close to victoria esplnade and park for children.The best place ive stayed in Palmerston north.The staff really made us feel welcome.The owner welcomed us before our check in time and was super friendly!! was the best customer service ive ever felt.My children loved every bit of their time there and so did we.
