Shadzz Motel

How nice and clean it was! The lounge and dining room is very spacious good for family. Property location was perfect close to city centre. We didn’t have to travel far it was a few minutes down the road. The rooms were clean and tidy. Kitchen area was awesome more than i expected!! There was sky tv which was so good we got to watch abit of the rugby world cup games. Overall we had a pleasant stay and we will definitely recommend this to our family and come back again next time.

I don’t think there wasn’t anything I didn’t like. Maybe just the wifi signal didn’t reach one of the rooms and lagged abit. Which had coming back into the lounge area to get full signal. But it didn’t ruin our stay we just had to adjust to that.

Good central location. Rooms nice and clean, in tidy condition. Easy on-site parking. Basic but comfy bed. Good pillows. Equipped kitchenette was good. Daily servicing included towel change, dishes washed (we only left a few and didn't expect staff to wash them but it was appreciated), rubbish cleared. No bed make-up but this didn't worry us. Would stay again.

Very strong deodoriser (fragrance) smell in the room was off-putting for me. It was a pleasant smell, just too strong. However I requested no further fragrance be used during our stay so it did subside over time. Many people would enjoy the spa bath, but the shower over the bath meant there was a high bath side to climb over into the shower. Not a big deal, just something to be wary of if mobility is an issue.

Like that the rooms have a corner bath and comfortable bed for reasonable cost. Always nice to relax in a bath…not use the spa but just soak.

The angle of the TV to the bed amd lounge suite/ sofa. You get a sore neck trying to view. Also noise from neighbouring flats / housing. Road noise isn’t an issue but our mid-week stay experienced domestic discussions and activities from a property of the fence.

The room was extremely clean and tidy. The bedroom was large, as was the bathroom and spa bath. As a family, it was excellent for us having a large living area (with a bed) as well as a seperate bedroom. We asked for a cot, which was provided. The location is also great.

The motel itself is dated but it’s so well maintained and clean so this did not matter.

The property was tidy and clean and nice owners.

I went with my friend and booked through booking.com for a studio with TWO beds. (Upstairs if it was available.) We got there and were put downstairs in a studio with one bed and a sofa bed. I slept on the sofa bed which was not comfortable had springs in my back all night. We are two older women on holiday and I was not impressed not getting what I had booked!!!

awesome stay super clean room was able to check in a little bit earlyer which was nice spa was lovely requested cot for our new born was all prepared in room comfy large double bed air conditioning was nice kept room warm nice view of main street from upstairs highly recommended from us will deffinitely come stay again.

Helpful staff and great location. gave us a late check out and stored out bags safely for us while we explored before our flight home. Easy walking distance to supermarkets, the main city square and all the restaurants. Great to have a spa bath to relax in and great that they think to give you bath gel to enjoy in the bath.

I liked how I was welcomed from 1st entrance with my name i checked in later than I had booked but staff was really good and didn't fault me for it. Room was beautifully set up clean tidy and smelled really good. The hot chocolate was also really yum. Loved that I was able to do our washing so we didn't go home with dirty laundry. I would love to return in the future

I didn't like that the smell of other people's smoke would come into our room.

the owners were very very welcoming, though i booked 3 rooms, we were apart of a very big family that booked 6 rooms. We are very very thankful to shadzz for putting up with the familys loud laughs , singing ect . have recommended shadzz to friends and work colleagues who are arranging a trip to palmerston north in February 2023

Location was good, closer to everything

Shower water pressure wasn't strong enough Too many birds behind the window of the kitchen and the curtain was closed all the time. Too much noise from the birds outside the kitchen window. 🙄
