Hotel Mikołaj

The location was a very short walk from the main square in the old town. There were a number of bars and restaurants nearby which we used. The area is very quiet and central and it felt very safe to walk around. The breakfast was a plate of meat, cheese slices and soft cheese. Sourdough bread slices, cakes and yoghurts. Hot options include scrambled eggs and frankfurter sausages. We didn't take the hot breakfast but were happy with the cold options and were able to help ourselves to fruit juice and coffees. It wasn't the most fancy breakfast we had in a hotel but it was tasty, the breakfast room was spotless and we were able to sit and chat over breakfast without any pressure to leave. It was worth the extra money we paid for it as it kept us going until lunch time.

Nothing - the overall stay was lovely. It was such good value and such a central location it was ideal. We were out exploring daily and had a good night sleep in a spotless hotel. The decor is traditional - nothing really fancy but it was perfect for us.

The Hotel is well situated being 10 minutes walk from the railway station and then 5 minutes walk to the main square and a further 10 minutes to the Castle. I had a room at the back of the property and although a bit bare, it was large, quiet, clean and comfortable. The shower worked fine. The staff bring you a pre-pared breakfast and there is sufficient choice of cereals and scrambled eggs and sausage besides. There is a restaurant on site for lunch and evening meals, which I would have used if it had been raining. The staff were very helpful in keeping my luggage stored as my train was in the early afternoon after check-out.

There is no lift, but the staff are helpful and would help if you are struggling with luggage. The curtains would not close and the door was ill fitting so that it rattled on occasions. Both issues were resolved by undressing in the bathroom and putting my case against the door. Otherwise a very good well-run hotel.

The location is within walking distance to Cloth Hall. Easy to get food and taxi, although I need to walk across the street for Uber pick-up. The room and bathroom is big and clean with all the amenities you need. It has double window and if you don't like too much noise from outside (it can get very raucous even after midnight because there are bars outside the hotel) you just closed both windows. Breakfast was decent, but the dining room is pretty cramp, I don't know how they would accommodate breakfast if the hotel is in full capacity.

I know when I booked that the hotel does not have an elevator, but maybe having a porter to carry your bags up and down would be great. I had someone helped me carry it up when I checked-in, but I had to carry my own bags down when I checked out, that was quite a challenge. Would be good to have a pin at the hotel for Uber pick-up so guests do not have to drag luggage across the street for pick-up.

In the heart of the Old Town and very close to the Central Station (Glowny) it's fanatically well placed for transport and attractions. Breakfast is a little bit basic, but more than adequate. Staff honestly couldn't be better.

Being a very old building there will always be compromises. We were on the third floor and there are steep staircases as is traditional in this type of property and no lift (easily fixed by booking a lower room).

Having a healthy variety of breakfast foods was appreciated. Windows that be opened to let in cool breezes during the day and night. Friendly staff that were helpful during my stay.

The AC was not an air conditioner but a dehumidifier that was extremely loud. I refuse to turn it on while I was in the room. Instead I opened up the windows from my top.floor room to cool off especially at night. I was comfortable and slept well with night breeze.

I arrived late at the hotel, and there was no problem to provide me with all the most important information related to my stay. I went to the bathroom, the soft and natural scent of the soap began to soothe my senses. What was my surprise when I discovered that the towels also have a natural scent associated with cleanliness and that the bathroom and the room were also in this condition. In the morning, a tasteful and cozy restaurant with a coffee machine - the espresso was delicious, very pleasant and intimate service. The hotel is partially old fashioned. Together with the location, it introduces you to the culture of this amazing city.

The room was very clean, location is perfect - exactly in the city center and very close to all the famous attractions to visit. There is a very big nice park just 50 m from the hotel. Daily cleaning of the room, a nice complementary of a bottle water for the each stay. Breakfast is very nice. The bed was comfortable and the rooms had adequate heating. Staff is amazing, very nice and welcoming. I would visit again.

Bathroom is a little bit small but still very comfortable.

Excellent location near the centre /market place of the 'old town'. Walking distance to facilities/transport/ shopping. Hotel very clean, tidy and warm. We had a triple room which was a good size, plenty room to move around. Continental style breakfast with small selection hot food, more than adequate to set you up for the day. Staff very pleasant and helpful

No lift may be an issue for anyone with mobility issues but it wasn't an issue for us.

The hotel felt very traditional which I prefer when visiting a historical city. It was located just a few minutes walk from the main Old Town square so your are in the midst of things as soon as you step outside. It was also only an safe easy walk down from the station. The staff spoke very good English and were always very helpful. The breakfast was a delightful plate of cheese and cold meats, and various options of yogurt, fruit , cereals and eggs were also available. For the price I felt it was very good value and will definitely stay again when I come back to Krakow.

I was there at the weekend and as you might expect there was some noise from a local bar quite late into the night. If you are not joining the revellers then you may wish to request a room at the back or go to bed earlier or avoid Friday and Saturday night. Sunday night was quieter.

The hotel was central to everything close to the Xmas Market also to the town centre the train station is also very close the hotel is situated in the middle a few minutes walk The room was spacious very clean the breakfast was very good staff were very nice and friendly they have a restaurant that I didn't get to eat in but it was pretty busy every night

I actually can't find anything that I didn't like about this hotel the price for the 3 nights was very good
