Silken Puerta Madrid

All staff were friendly and most (our Spanish is very basic) spoke very good English which is good. The room was large and clean and easily coped with 3 people sharing. Parking was underground and secure, just make sure you validate your car parking ticket by the reception team to get the discounted parking. We visited Valley of the fallen which was about 45 minutes away this was a very interesting and nice place to visit. Whilst also there we visit Segovia roman aqueduct a piece of construction well worth seeing.

Again food menu did not tally up with the food menu they direct you to via the qr code. However the food from the menu was great and very nice for what we had.

The staff were very nice and helpful, and the room was quite comfortable. The food was good as well. Overall, I was very happy with the hotel. The only issue I had was with the wifi.

The wifi was unusable for work. I was unable to stay on any video calls as it was very slow and would shut off every 2-3 minutes. I asked the front desk about it and they re started the router for me, but the connection was still so bad I ended up having to reschedule all of my meetings for the day. The exact same thing happened when I stayed at Silken Puerta Valencia. I think they need to get a new network infrastructure provider or update the hardware in their hotels.

The hotel is in a very quiet and peaceful area. Although the metro station is a little far away, you can reach the city center in a very short time with the buses numbered 146 and 114. Receptionists answered all our questions sincerely and enlightened us. The price of this quality hotel was extremely affordable. We got the impression that we were staying in a luxury hotel. The breakfast was very good and satisfying. Thank you so much for everything.

It’s clean and spacious , the location is a bit outskirts however we enjoy a bus ride which is located just outside the hotel

For a 4* property they should have at-least provide the basics ,, such as bedroom slippers, water bottle which most hotels has and also the in room phone doesn’t work at all . I see most this hotel caters to business guests.

The room and the bed were excelent, everything was good and satisfying. It was in a quiet zone and the subway was only 15 minutes walk near the park which made it a good starting walk in the begining of the day. I enjoyed the big bathroom and the big bed. Staff was great, helping right away when we need it.

The windows were a little noisy. There were noise in the hotel on the night, but that is maybe because there were some families with kids checked in.

The hotel is placed conveniently close to the airport where we needed to be the next day. It is spacious, has excellent facilities and the overall vibe was good. We loved the water pressure in the shower!

For the short stay we had there was nothing we expected to be better. Room service was good, there was no noise, the facilities and amenities are quite new and all was satisfactory.

Greatest location near Barajas Airport, plus adjacent to cultivated homes and shops of Madrid families. Even more, Right next to Alcalá street where “everything” one needs is available!

Management needs to give guests, EACH DAY, a couple of instant coffee’s with decent coffee cups to help them. The absence of this is WAY below hotels of their category. Would be nice also, to have TV channels for English language news. Still, we very much enjoyed our stay, compared to our old standbys at Melia Avenida America, quite a nice change; particularly the fine Silken location, nearer upscale residences.

The room was clean and very well equipped. It was also cleaned and arranged on a daily basis. The staffs were extremely kind and very polite. Highly recommend!!

The only thing I thought was missing was a bottle of water in the room. After a long trip or a long time out, it would have been great to have a little bottle of water in the fridge.

Excellent hotel. Comfortable rooms, large comfortable beds, very helpful staff, great downstair bar (you can have a coffee and something small there if you do not book a breakfast), excellent and quite air conditioning.

If you rely on public transport, the location is a bit unconvenient, it is about 15 min walk from the nearest metro. Apart of that, no complaints.

I did not like the attitude of one of the staff member when my husband asked if he could take a chair to the smoking area outside. He was told that this was done in summer. It does not take much effort to do a little change
