Mayerling Hotel

I asked for a quiet room and got exactly that. The room was plain in Scandinavian style but served it purpose. The curtains kept the daylight off for those who enjoy sleeping in the dark. From previous ratings I learned that the breakfast was modest. It was, but certainly enough to get you going. Churros every second morning were a treat! A huge plus was that breakfast was served until 11 am. The location was also excellent very close to the Tirso de Molina metro station, food stores, bars and many main sights within walking distance. There was a lift, five floors and a possibility leave luggage after check-out and until departure. Coffee and water available in the lobby. I could stay here again.

The wifi was a bit slow and the shower spout was dripping every now and then (something I could have mentioned the front desk staff but didn't as it was not constant). The A/C was apparently centrally turned off - it was quite warm in the room. I solved the problem by keeping the window ajar during the night.

The overall stay at Mayerling Hotel was very pleasant. The location of the hotel was amazing, we were close to all tourist sites - 10-15 minutes waking. The room was nice, comfy bed. I liked that there was make-up table and place where to hang clothes and jackets. Toilet and bathroom was very decent and clean. The breakfast was good enough, fresh products every day. Coffee machine, toaster, anything you may need. It was also delicious. Most important, staff was very nice. They left a congratulation letter for my birthday and some sweets which was very unexpected and I was very nicely surprised. Just very nice gesture.

What we personally did not was that we had one big common cover for the bed. And also we found it quite hard to communicate with the staff in English. It took us some time to get on the same page.

The Mayerling Hotel is conveniently located close to the subway and at a walking distance from several tourist attractions. The staff was very friendly, and the breakfast was good. The room was comfortable and good size.

The room layout was a bit strange with the sink and mirror at the entrance, although consequently the shower and toilet had their own individual spaces. Still an odd choice. The hotel also has a terrace that could be nice for sunbathing or having drinks, but it had clearly not been used for a while.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of my stay at the Mayerling hotel. I stayed in two different hotels in Spain prior to my stay here (three star and four star); but despite this one being two stars it blew the other two out of the water in terms of facilities, location and service. The rooms are decent sized with two small water bottles provided. if you’re lucky enough like me you’ll get a balcony room with a lovely view. The beds were comfortable and room also had AC which was much needed and appreciated. the bathroom comes with your usual cosmetics but the big sell is the rain shower with amazing water pressure. Breakfast is cold cuts and continental only but excellent variety of pastries, muffins, cereals, hams, cheese, and even churros! fresh juice and a fancy coffee machine also on hand. location is fantastic and very central; less than 10 minutes walk to plaza mayor. staff were very friendly and helpful in answering any questions; efficient check in and check out. if you aren’t due to depart until much later than check out, you are welcome to stay in their AC reception with comfortable couches, tables, Wi-Fi, and even free coffee and tea facilities. if you want to wander about in that time, they will hold your luggage free of charge. 10/10 would return

The staff was very friendly and gave us directions to the plaza mayor which is only a 4 minutes walk from the hotel. Since we arrived at 10 am, and the check-in is at 15:00, they let us leave the luggage there and we went to explore. This is a very small hotel maximum 5 rooms in each floor which is a bonus because there would not be noise from other rooms. The room was very clean.

There was nothing we didn't like, I think this was the best hotel I every went to since cleanses is was is very important to me.

This hotel offers fantastic value and is situated just a short stroll away from the Plaza Mayor. The staff members are incredibly welcoming, always ready to assist with a polite demeanor. The room size was impressive, and it was spotlessly clean upon our arrival.

It's worth mentioning that our room had an unconventional layout with the shower integrated into the room itself. While I didn't mind, some individuals might have reservations about this arrangement.

- coffee machine and water dispenser at our disposal all day and all night :) (usually with some snacks left from breakfast) - the coffee was strong and very good! - friendly staff happy to help with each "problem" - small balcony in the room - churros or tortillas served during breakfast time

- room service always came in the afternoon, which is not convenient in case you want to rest a bit after lunch - the bathroom was kind of "part" of the room (if you want privacy during your hygiene time, cannot help you here) - shower head was fixed in the ceiling (not everybody wants to wash their hair or ruin their make-up everytime they have a shower, so it's not very practical) - only one chair in the room for two people (?)

Generally we were very pleased with our choice. The location was fibulas but came with the expected downside of a bit of street noise. The room and facilities were very good given the very competitive pricing. Only small room maintenance issues could of been spotted? Toilet seat marked and wouldn't remain up for male use. The sink and shower drain were slow. Lose catch on the inside toilet door and one light bulb the kept flashing over the window. This was room 301 but don't let these comments put one off, as the overall package was excellent. Would certainly book again without hesitation.

Location was super central in Madrid, did not need to take bus/trains to visit the city. At night the hotel was a bit noisy as people were hanging out down the street, but as me and my friend are quite young and stayed out late ourselves this didn't bother us. The room was better than expected, very clean, modern and with such a cute view of Madrid. My friend and I chose not to add breakfast in our stay as vegan/gluten free options were non-existent.

The location is perfect, very close to all the main attractions and aso to the metro station. the hotel is very clean, the room is big enough for two people if they travel with small luggages. the staff is very friendly and helpful. I would definitely come back

I would be helpful to add a small fridge in the room especially during the summer when temperatures are very high in Madrid
