Hotel Kivir

Hotel Kivir - a gem in the beautiful city of Seville. My friend and I had a river facing room on a main street - but you couldn't hear a thing, so quiet. It was impeccably clean and cosy with ample storage space!! The staff - we couldn't fault them - welcoming, helpful, attentive; no sooner had we requested something (iron for the room, temperature of shower to be corrected) it was taken care of with a smile. The breakfast at the hotel is light and delicious; freshly squeezed Seville orange juice, Champagne, a continental spread, toast, 'frothy coffee' machine and a choice of egg based hot dishes (portions are quite small). Breakfast is served in the stunning rooftop space. The location is fantastic as the hotel is situated along Paseo de Cristóbal Colón (a very long straight road running along the river 'Rio Guadalquivir') and all the side roads off this road lead to the main attractions. It's also located right by Punete de Isabel II (the bridge that takes you over to Triana). On our first night we headed over to Triana for some tapas in a small, casual, local restaurant, Blanca Paloma and despite not being able to read the menu, the restaurant manager talked us through dishes and his recommendations were spot on - if we could have licked the plates, we would have! If you are between 35 -45 and fancy clubbing with an older crowd, we headed to Lobby Room (literally around the corner from Hotel Kivir) cheap drinks (poured free hand), a mix of Spanish and English club tracks - great crowd. Other musts are Petit Comité, gorgeous restaurant serving high end Spanish and French inspired food and Espacio Eslava (if you stay at Hotel Kivir and decide to wear heals, jump in a cab to take you there - it cost us 4euro) and BOOK in advance as it's very popular) STUNNING tapas and wine...the bill came and we thought a mistake had been made - er no - it was that cheap!

The hotel is perfect for a city break. The only tiny criticism is that the sun lounger and plunge pool area is situated within the hotel's rooftop space - so if you do head up there in your swimming costume or are more scantily clad, be aware that people are up there drinking at the roof top bar (they aren't all staying at the hotel) and you will be on display. If we had known that, we might have made more of an effort with our sun bathing attire. Ha ha ha.

Excellent location which is very close to most of the main tourist sites, very clean, whole hotel smelt amazing, cleaners were nice and efficient, roof top bar had a nice view, reception staff were friendly enough and spoke good English, the room was amazing, comfortable bed and an option to order different types of pillows to suit different sleeping types, stayed in premium room which had complementary drinks in the mini fridge that were restocked every day, soundproofing was unbelievable as our room was facing the bars and we couldn't hear anything once the window was shut. Highly recommend hotel kivir for anyone visiting Seville. Especially since the price was not too expensive either per night

Some of the reception staff weren't as friendly as others, room service had a closing time so anyone checking in late or wanting a late night snack is out of luck, pool is very small (just there to cool off in the day like a plunge pool), TV in the room doesn't have any smart features like Netflix or Amazon prime video, bidets in the toilet weren't working in any room in the hotel, there was a nice area near reception that offered free coffee, drinks and some light breakfast snacks however this area was only open to us 2 days out of the 4 we stayed

Struggling to find anything bad—location was amazing, room was small but very comfortable (good design!) with the largest shower we've seen. Amenities were great, from the bathroom soaps to free water and juice. Very clean with staff you actually like talking to (it's rare to find people who are both polite and actually pleasant). They also had a decent breakfast at the terrace with a great view, and only at 15 euros (we've paid much more for far less). This hotel is what "value for money" means.

We booked our room at the last minute when we were already in Seville, so we got a room at the ground floor with no view. This isn't the hotel's fault, but next time we come to Seville, we'll ask for a room on a floor to enjoy the view of the river!

The location is awesome! Right between the old town, the beautiful embankment and the modern part of the city. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious enough. Free water in glass bottles was provided daily. I especially appreciated soap and body lotion from Rituals. The staff were friendly, helpful and nice to talk to:) The rooftop bar is another amazing facility! Great place to watch sunset while drinking delicious rosé! Swimming pool was very useful on a hot sunny day

This part of the city is a bit crowded and loud, so sleeping with the window open was impossible. The water in the pool is, in my opinion, a bit too cold (couldn’t feel my fingers and feet after a while). No towels are provided near the pool, so we had to bring the ones from the room

100% the nicest hotel I've stayed in, it was exceptionally cleaned and smelled absolutely amazing, the pool was great, the staff were friendly, I had the best sleep too. The little touches make this hotel special, the gorgeous toiletries (which I went to rituals to buy after),the fluffy robes and slippers, the gift of local olive oil, fruit brought to you by the pool, water always available for free, free coffee and snacks and a free non alcoholic minibar in your room. The breakfast was lovely, great healthy choices and freshly prepared eggs to order. Location superb. I would love to stay here again.

I loved everything

Lovely clean, modern room with amazing river view. Hotel is relatively small so was quiet. 5 minute walk into the center of everything. Nice rooftop bar and although the pool is quite small it's a nice suntrap until late evening.

The main road opposite is quite busy but you can't really hear it in the room. Theres also 2 or 3 very lively bars just a few yards along, didnt cause me any problem but my partner did struggle to sleep one night due to shouting and laughing at what I assume was closing time about 3am.

A 4 star hotel with a 5 star offering and service. Champagne on arrival, friendly, helpful hotel staff. Loved the location, facing Guadalquivir River and across from Triana district, which was filled with restaurant options. A mere 15 min walk to Centro. Close proximity to many historic sites. The rooms were modern and spacious with a feeling of luxury. Lovely personalised welcome note and a gift of olive oil. Lots of complimentary snacks and drinks (juice, coffee, water) available.

We really enjoyed our stay at Kivir. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. Our room was great, we enjoyed the complimentary mini bar plus the drinks and snacks in the lobby too. The hotel is situated in a fantastic location, a short walk from all the main tourist sites. The terrace bar is a lovely setting to enjoy a drink, soak in the sunshine and the views. We would also recommend the hotel restaurant for tapas. We would highly recommend staying here.

No complaints

The room was really spacious, well insulated from the sound from the outside and the bed was amazingly comfortable. Great nights’ sleep. Also really appreciated the magnifying mirror in the bathroom. we had a river view room. Modern, well lit and very well placed to easily reach areas of interest. The Nespresso machine in the room was great. It was a trip partly for my husband’s birthday and the staff kindly surprised us with a bottle of champagne - a very thoughtful gesture. All felt very personal and friendly. All the front desk staff went out of their way to ensure we were well looked after.

it would have been useful to have two chairs instead of just one in the room so we could have sat together drinking coffee/champagne watching the river go by. Hardly a big issue though. As the weather was unsettled while we were there we weren’t going to be using the ‘pool’ but be aware it is very small if th are r is important to you. it wasn’t a problem for us.

The room was very comfortable, including the pillows. We were offered a glass of bubbly at check-in, and shortly after settling in our room with a free mini-bar, room service delivered a gift of delicious crisp breads and sherry from the hotel. Sadly, we only stayed one night, and the staff, service, and facilities were excellent.

Breakfast was lacking any vegan possibilities. I didn't request anything special in advance, so if I had, they might have had something for us. The fruit was very good. We usually don't have breakfast in hotels for this reason, but it was Easter Sunday morning, and we had to leave early for the airport, so we took a chance.
