Grafton Lodge Motel

the bedroom was separate from the living space. The bed was comfortable and I had a great sleep. Loved the shower, after a long drive from North Queensland to be able to have a strong shower was wonderful. Michelle who met me at reception escorted me over to my room and advised that if there was anything I required to let her know. I tend to choose places that have at least a microwave, the kitchenette was great for my needs. I would highly recommend staying here and would certainly stay again myself.

Michelle was very welcoming, right down to escorting me to our room and making sure we were well informed. Definitely a first for me. ( my whole life has been in hospitality. … Room was clean and well presented. Nice to have a fridge which was cold to start with and not needing to be turned up. I get why it’s done to save defrosting, but annoying when you put items in and then they don’t chill or freeze.

Really for the value and age it was great……..

There was a separate bedroom with a comfortable bed and a kitchenette. The rooms are in the process of being upgraded, The bathroom and bedroom were excellent. We also had a new console for the TV. The managers are in the process of providing a good product. There pool looked inviting and there was a pleasant outdoor setting with a water fountain and a Balinese feel about the surroundings

The sofa was a bit old and soiled and some light curtaining would have been a good way to let in daylight but still retain privacy.

Very well appointed, the air conditioner was superb, the beds were comfortable. It was so quiet despite being full at the time. It was welcoming and felt very safe. The host was very helpful and friendly. The kitchenette area was a bonus and the extra space in the unit was fabulous. The bathroom was very clean.

the room was very spacious and the bed super comfortable. We loved having a seperate living area and a full size fridge and a microwave. The linen was clean but a water mark on the lounge could do with a clean. The staff were lovely and very helpful.

couldn’t get the TV to work in the bedroom. (no big worry as there was another in the lounge) and the WiFi wasn’t great. The pool was also closed. There is a railway line behind the motel, but although I heard them, the sound wasn’t too loud.

Late check was made easy. The room was far better than expected. The furnishings was great and made the room feel all that little bit more homely after been on the road away from home for a while.

Very friendly and helpful greeting from the manager. Although the motel is old, the room was excellent. It was actually a suite with a separate bedroom kitchenette and comfortable lounge area. Everything was exceptionally spotless. We ordered a takeaway that was delivered promptly. Could not fault anything.

The space was spotless and had all the comforts we needed after a long trip. We heated our dinner which we'd pre-booked at home so we could just stay put when we got there. The heating was great, and the shower hot at night.

Room 4 was very close to the allocated smoking area so unfortunately we were negatively impacted by this, despite the windows and door being closed. Also the shower was tepid at best at 8am.

Very well presented rooms, great styling. Staff very friendly, couldn't have been any more helpful. Highly recommend.

Liked everything, one of the best places I've ever stayed at.

Loved the staff and owners. Rooms clean and comfortable and quiet even with other guests couldn’t hear them which was fantastic.

There was nothing I didn’t like.
