Heritage River Motor Inn

The room was large, the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was also large. There was a sink in the main room. They had mugs as well as little cups. There was a microwave. We got a toaster from the office. Everything was very clean. The staff were professional and friendly. No complaints at all. We had everything we needed and more. We were in room 7 which meant we had undercover car parking. All the facilities were modern. The fridge was a good size. Itwas a quiet environment. There was a breakfast table and a desk and a little outside sitting area with a garden. This was the most expensive motel we stayed in during our 4 week trip but the quality and extent of the facilities meant we had to say good value for money. It was worth it for the luxury.

Not really a "did not like" just a puzzling thing. The hot water tap in the bathroom worked the reverse of normal taps. No amount of strength could get it to turn on. But the slightest move in the reverse direction turned it on. I guess it is a safety thing but a sign alerting us to this would have been helpful.

The location was perfect for this trip between Sydney and the Sunshine Coast. Given the floods further north, it was just the rght distance from Sydney, as we didn't know how bad the conditions would be for travelling. We had not stayed there for several years because of the new road from Glenugie to Ballina but the excellent facilities in the new units at Heritage River Motor Inn are so good that we will probably divert off the M1 to Grafton in the future to stay at this motel.

The new overseas tranaction fee added onto the listed price. This will probaby be applicable elwhere but we had not experienced it before when we booked through Booking.com. The answer is to book directly with the motel in the future but booking.com gives a 15% discount.

I stay in a lot of country towns. The "accessible suite" often leaves much to be desired. Not this accessible suite. Plenty of space. Large bathroom. Very wide door. Proper shower. Proper disabled seat in the shower. Everything you would expect of an accessible suite in any major city.

The car parks were quite wide. But because One wasn't noted as the disabled park, I couldn't get access to both sides of my car to load up

The motel is located not far from the highway which was great for us as we were overnighting on our journey to Queensland which meant we didn't have to deal with the bustle of the town. The motel was relatively new, room was large with comfy bed and pillows. Microwave and small bar fridge. Good sized bathroom also. Set in a pretty sub-tropical setting it was very quiet. Walked to dinner at the pub nearby. Very nice experience all round.

The room was smaller than we are used to, even though it was nice. Very little cutlery or crockery except for 2 spoons and 2 cups, if you want more you will have to organise it earlier No toaster in the room, apparently you will need to ask for that as well.

A wonderful motel! Not your average accommodation, the rooms were nicely spaced out. The decore/furnishings were exceptional....even to the comfy lounge seat. The pool was lovely and relaxing after a day on the road, positioned among tropical vegetation.....it had that real tropical aura!

Well designed accommodation: spacious, bright airy room with a balcony. Quiet: set in a lovely garden. Best bed and pillows I’ve slept on when travelling. Large clean bathroom with a heat lamp for those cold evenings. Highly recommend the Heritage River Motor Inn for a stay on the south side of the Clarence River. Thank you.

The location was perfect for our needs, close to family, shops etc. Could walk everywhere we needed to go. Well maintained, extremely clean, lovely comfortable bed. The pool was so welcoming and the tropical gardens throughout the property are lovely. Great price for an exceptional stay. Thank you!

Location was perfect , close to shops and other services..... Bed was 100% - really comfortable and a nice quiet location ensuring a great nights sleep......The room had everything to offer , right down to free bottles of water in the fridge .....It's the little things like that along with all the extra facilities which makes your stay really pleasant ......

clean, updated, all facilities new & working, tastefully decorated, blockout curtains, tall ceilings, friendly & helpful staff, well kept gardens, a really comfortable stay and no wonder this Inn has won awards, they certainly deserve the accolades.
