Mercure Orange

The location was really good. Handy to have the club across the carpark. Also the UB restaurant very close and excellent. Gave a $20 discount for the club, as we didn’t have our room serviced daily. Great toiletries and espresso coffee pod machine.

You could not open the curtains, in the front the carpark, on the side you look straight into the next room, so found that very disappointing. Also found a v sweaty sock left from the previous occupant, in the bottom of the wardrobe. It could easily have been overlooked as right at the back but…..the smell you couldn’t overlook! 😊

Clean comfortable bed, good storage, good stocked fridge. At the back of the RSL, convenient access to the club. close to all shops. good parking available. Jen in the office was lovely and we got in earlier than expected. Even though rooms are close together, it was quiet. Have stayed here a couple of times and would stay again. Plenty of space to store luggage, full size ironing board, nice toiletry products.

The toilet seat didnt fit the toilet properly and it slips around when you sit on it. Also the shower is right on top of the toilet and everything gets soaked because the shower has no door. not a big deal though.

Everything, the staff were awesome. Couldn't have asked for anything better. After booking out of another Motel around the corner because I was scared to stay and booking into the Mercure was a complete pleasure. The staff were awesome so thank you. The only thing I would say is for the staff to ask if you are a member of Mecure because it wasn't until I was booking out I thought about it and could have saved myself some money

King size room very comfortable and clean and quiet.

We have stayed very often, and love the location. In the past we have received a complimentary bottle of water by the bed, milk for tea and coffee and a drink vouchure for the Greenhouse. This was a nice touch for the price we pay for the room. During this stay we received none of these.

Great location

Noisy next to car park and the staff member who checked us in was not listening. Asked for 2 keys -ignored, we asked for single beds - she kept asking if we wanted to sleep together (mother & daughter), asked what we were there for - had no idea of a massive event in town which is part of her job to know!

Place is clean overall, the room has lots in it that a travelling family needs, staff are nice and very helpful, and they were nice to clean the room while we were out. It was nice to come back to a clean room. It's not too far from the main street, cafes, and shops. Place is easy to find.

Room spacious, comfortable & modern. Good location, easy walk to main shopping area, restaurants & pubs.

Walk-in shower made it difficult not to splash water over toilet. No restaurant nor cafe on site. The Bistro in the Services Club next door is listed as their restaurant. It is a short walk through the Clubs car park. A small cafe called Cafe Latte, located in the nearby Uniting Church, is listed as their cafe & is also used to provide room service. It is a slightly longer walk down the street & around the corner but the food is good & the ladies serving are lovely.

Location is very central. Staff are super friendly and helpful

We have stayed there many times in the new part of the hotel. This time we were in the older section and the room was a bit smaller than usual and it was noisy as the room was next to the club next door and there were bands playing.

Staff was very accommodating especially during After-Hours and the room was very nicely furnished in a modern way. The motel was also in close proximity to the town centre and shops/cafes.

Better signage at the front of the motel as it would have been easy to miss the turn into the driveway from Byng Street if we had not been informed by someone prior who was also staying at the motel. Also I was unable to see a pool. It would have also been good to see some promotional material for things to do in the town and area within the motel room.

The website states “Choose from hotel rooms or deluxe suites” and we selected the Deluxe King Room which was perfect for our stay. Upon arrival, however, we were a little surprised that it has much more of a ‘motel-style’ appearance rather than an hotel. All rooms led off the central car park (with additional parking available next door) and ours was on the other side of the corridor so very quiet. There was adequate space for hanging clothes and the bench area and small table worked well for our laptops, etc. together with two chairs. The bed and bed linen were very comfortable. There was a kettle, coffee-maker and small fridge with mini-milks. We were surprised on our first morning with a ‘housekeeping’ knock which we hadn’t expected; whilst they attended to the room, they didn’t re-stock our teabags or morning cookies ☹. We did, however, get two complimentary bottles of water each day. The bathroom was a good size and towels were a good quality. We didn’t use the rain shower but the rail one had excellent pressure and the toiletries are in refillable pump-pots so good on the Mercure for their plastic reduction policy and they are also cruelty-free, so a 5* rating there 😊. Check-in was very quick, and we only had to put our keys into a deposit box when leaving. I did manage to lock myself out one day and reception were excellent at sorting that little ‘issue’ out. The hotel is in a great location with comfortable and quiet rooms and we would definitely stay here on our next trip to Orange.
