The Hallows Accommodation

The room was secure, clean and comfortable. I appreciated the location of the Hallows in relation to the distance to my weekend requirements. It is a lovely old building with a very classy interior. I look forward to returning where I need extra time to have a look around and experience some of the features the Hallows provides.

As I had never stayed at this accommodation previously, I noticed the signs in the shared areas - especially the bathroom. I was unsure about what was required of me to not have to pay an additional cleaning fee.

The Hallows was a fabulous place to stay with our family. Usually we have a lot of difficulty as we are a large family with 4 children. No such difficulties with the hallows. The Hallows family accommodation was exceptionally spacious, with fabulous home style kitchen (with full size fridge and oven) dining/lounge areas and 2 wonderful bathrooms with seperate toilet. The kids had their own seperate bedrooms and kept them really calm and settled. We enjoyed the bbq area and had a great time outside in the sparse garden with the kids.

Only minor issues-there wasn’t much to fault at all! Only thing we found tricky was that we couldnt find a way to switch off the lights for the main family room unit hallway at bedtime. And the BBQ area was unlit.

Usual type of accomodation in an old convent. Done up well to make lovely presented rooms.

All the lighting is sensory and kept going of. We had trouble getting it to come back on. A staff member turned up later in the afternoon and I questioned her about it. She said they should come on by just movement, which I said wasn’t happening and she said she’d report it. We tried all sorts of things turning lights on and off using door swipe again, there was no system that worked constantly, but we did manage to get them on each time eventually. Also there was no compendium with instructions for this, arrangements for keys on departure, suggestions for meals and points of interest. All this would have been helpful since there was no one at reception, just a locked key box with code sent to you prior to arrival.

The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious. We liked having 2 bedside tables, both with lights. It was nice to have lots of power points. The hotel is not so close to the town centre, but is near the Mt Panorama racetrack. It was fun to drive a little way along the racetrack. A very pleasant stay.

We would have liked clear windows to see outside rather than frosted ones. The hotel gave very strong warnings not to set off the fire alarms. This would have been less of a worry if the alarms in the shared kitchen were not crazily located directly over the stove and toaster. We would have liked an extra blanket so that the A/C heating could have been turned off during the night.

The Hallows has beautiful lodgings. This was a return visit as I loved it so much lastvtime. Its very warm and homely and exceptionally clean. A 5 min stroll to Mt Panorama. Views are also lovely. Cannot speak highly enough of this place.

Previously we dtayed in a king room which was quite spacious snd comfortable. The queen room was much smaller and cranped - but hey, I really only showered and slept there. Bed and bedding was luxurious and very comfy. We will be back.

this maybe my 3rd or 4th stay so obviously like the place. Travelling by myself I found it good value for money. Having access to kitchen facilities is a major plus for me

there were no instructions for a tv set with a very different type of remote control. it had been left on an extremely low sound and even with sitting right up close to it I did have trouble hearing. As the Queen had just died and there were some great news coming out of the UK and here at home I would have loved to have been able to hear what was going on!! On Sunday morning I did find a staff member who helped me adjust the sound. she pointed out that she had found it different too!

I have stayed here on several occasions and have always had a great experience. It’s not luxury but it’s reasonably priced, comfortable and warm with fresh linen. But what really makes the experience great is that it is always impeccably clean, not only in the rooms but everywhere in the property. It’s an old building so some areas are not updated but everywhere is squeaky clean. I also love the key box system as it means I can arrive when it suits me and I don’t have to talk to anyone, especially awesome when it’s late and I’m grumpy. Would highly recommend if you are looking for clean affordable accommodation.

It is value for money and Comfortable environment for families (I booked family suite) Except few bed sheets all other environment clean and nice.

my concern is few bed sheets seems not cleaned well or not changed because I have noticed few hair pieces in the sheets. Also, milk in the fridge was best before 16/09/23,but my stay was 22/09/23.we used the milk(no way to buy) it was not spoiled.

We booked king room with ensuite. It was super clean - i walked barefoot from my room to the kitchen and my feet were still clean when i came back to my room, bathroom also super clean, comfortable bed, hot water comes out super instant, air conditioning works well, generous pillows provided, clean and soft towels, there is kitchen facilities with almost everything we need to cook meal - foil, baking paper, glad wrap too :), big grass area for our toddler to run around, easy check in and check out without having to interract with people (feels very covid safe). Easy spacious parking, morning view of cows, big long table with 2 chairs in the room. Reliable internet. We also love the location its close to all places we intended to go :)

Had blackout 3 times during my 3 nights stay but it resolved quickly less than 30mins. Our room at the upper level and we had to going up the spiral stairs (not usually a problem for others but if you bring a toddler with pram, might need to wake the child to move him/her to the room and leave the pram in the car) - we thought to bring a pram, luckily we didn't :) (Seems like there are only 4 rooms in our buildings with this spiral stairs so check with the accommodation if you have specific requirement) - the remaining 36 rooms seems to be at separate building - didn't check how was the stairs there - doesn't affect much. The room is amazingly clean - old fashioned but super clean. We still enjoyed our stay and love the place very much.

Comfortable bed. Adequate facilities.

Netflix was advertised but didn't work. Samsung Plus was there but didn't work. The TV was difficult to work out and there were not instructions (the controller has mostly unlabelled buttons!). Because of the nature of the establishment, access is a little difficult if you have much luggage. But not unexpected. The sinks were very slow draining.
