Bathurst Explorers Motel

Bed was comfortable, good tea/coffee making facilities, parking right out front, microwave was handy to use, not far walking distance from a few shops. Bathroom was recently renovated. Being able to have your pet with you was our main reason for staying at the Bathurst Explorers Motel & a few other guests also had their dogs which were all very well behaved.

No toaster, cutlery or crockery other than mugs for coffee & glasses. Bathroom a little small. Motel seemed to be for people with pets & workers but that is ok. Main hotel across road was for other guests.

The parking was good outside our room, street was quite not noisy. Walking distance to the shops and RSL Club didn't have to take car, good exercise. The continental breakfast is good value for money had everything there bread, cereal, tea, coffee and juices. You can even have your dinner in the breakfast room very quite. Has books and mags for you to read if you want something to relax with.

Charging more for a pet to stay longer it'll be better just a one off fee.

We were across the road from the main hotel, from the outside it looked older but inside our room was nicely renovated. Fresh paint, good beds and quality linen. Cleanliness was excellent, good shower and a decent fridge/freezer. Not too much road noise as the cold aircon drowned out everything else. Easy and friendly check-in. Would stay again.

Microwave had seen better days, I wish breakfast started earlier than 8am.

Cleanliness

Smell of smokers enters the room -8 because smokers are accommodated right outside. The shower floods almost the entire bathroom floor if it directed Oman optimal position. To avoid a flood it has to to beat against the taps making a pleasant shower impossible. It was incredibly clean and the water was hot. It is a design fault and I would visit again. Thank you

The room was good and not small the bed was a good size for Double, had a great shower really nice hot water. The breakfast was good too value for money had what we needed. Parking was good as well. It was in a quite street so not loud traffic to wake us up during the night when we sleep. Reception was marvelous the guy's in reception was so helpful they made us all feel welcome. The Motel was split between the main and the other one across the street was for dogs.

Nothing to fault.

THis was an excellent place to stay. The beds were comfy and fresh towels everyday. The motto of he place is spend a night not a fortune and it is so true. We would definitely stay here again and I would recommend it to anyone. The WiFi was a bit iffy but I think there was work being done around the area. Anyway loved it and thank you for a lovely stay.

The shower could have done with a little tighteing up and the WiFi a little quicker but everything was amazing

The room was clean and spacious enough for two for an overnight stay. The bed was comfortable, fitted with an electric blanket and the room also had a small split system air conditioner, both very much appreciated for a winter night in Bathurst.

The bathroom sink was very small so toiletries needed to be left on the adjacent bench outside the bathroom.

It was quiet. I arrived at 830pm after booking at 5pm from 3 hours drive away. The Motel was full but quiet. A great price for a last minute travel decision. The water pressure and shower head height were awesome in the morning as being 194cm most motel showers are mid chest height (annoying).

It wqs just a nice place

The TV volume wasn’t working. Fiddled with the settings and even tried using headphones. I eventually fixed it by unplugging the power from the outlet and plugging it back in… first world problems haha 😆😂 Didn’t detract from my stay. But may have if I wasn’t tech savvy.

good clean fresh room, good check in, good location ,

the web site had a section where you could book upstairs or ground floor, I selected ground floor, on check in ,the clerk had put us upstairs saying that he had not seen that section of ground or above. One one our guests has copd and struggled with the stairs. this is why I booked ground floor .
