Room well well appointed and very clean

The restaurant was not good. I sat for 20 minutes waiting for a menu then another 20 to get my order taken. The glass of wine took ages to come I. My restaurant experience was very disappointing. I ordered the rump steak medium and it arrived very well done. It took almost half an hour since ordering for the meal to arrive. I was in the restaurant for almost an hour and a half. Based on that experience I did not go there for breakfast as I had originally planned. I figured my chances were much better at the local mcdonalds. I was apologised to 3 times for the wait but nothing was changed etc. I can’t say enough how the situation at the restaurant coloured how I felt about my whole stay

honestly glad we booked a room with this motel so close to all amenities literally with in walking distance as well, good for families with young ones. Very clean & comfortable. family friendly which was a plus for our stay. Being away from home this place felt like home. The Bloke at reception had a great sense of humour & made us feel so welcomed. loved everything even my kids didn’t want to leave!

Only one critique...Restaurant onsite said breakfast from 6.30am but didn't specify close time. Arrived about 9.50am was fully closed up. Apparently it closes at 9.30am. Would be helpful to have times specified instead of just "From 6.30am"

The staff are lovely, the location is very central to the town. There is a good restaurant and bar on site which offers room service and a lovely swimming pool to relax in on a hot day. Raymond Terrace is the gateway to both Port Stephens and the Hunter Valley being only a short drive to the Newcastle airport. I have stayed there several times and recommend it to others.

While there is ample parking on site, it isn’t allocated to your room. Only an issue if raining or have heavy bags.

very neat and tidy, a great spacious family area staff were so friendly and accommodated our needs, lovely people, treated us like family. highly recommend a stay here, great smiling staff, fantastic meals in the restaurant- best meals e.g., butter chicken omg so yummy thank you thank you thank you

Great value for money and pleasantly surprised by the room. All as described. Older style motel but very nicely done up with everything needed for a night away Bed was comfy and room was surprisingly quiet. Has air conditioning, great water pressure and fluffy towels. Would stay again.

We were holidaying and able to park our boat on the property. Very important to us. The room was a good size and it had a recliner. The bed was veery comfy. Breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented. The restaurant staff, in fact all staff, were lovely. Location suited us. Walking distance to local bowling club for tea and entertainment. (It does have a restaurant).

A great place for an overnight stop on my way north - convenient to shops and with a nice little on-site restaurant. Also just a short stroll to the pleasant riverside walk where I was able to stretch my legs.

My room was close to an intersection and there was a little noise from the traffic getting going early in the morning.

Great location. Easy parking right in front of room. Staff very friendly, even after we got locked out after hours. Good sized rooms. Shower nice. Reasonably quiet given central location. Very clean room.

The self locking on the door is tricky make sure not to press the button behind the door else you will be locked out on return. Needs a sign. Some wine glasses in the room to go with basic cooking facilities would be welcome. Internet was too slow, we gave up and hotspotted through the mobile.

Have stayed here several times. It’s convenient location. Restaurant is basic but nice.

We were stuck in town on a cold rainy day and did ask for an earlier check in which was refused. A little bit of customer service to prepare our room as quickly as possible would have gone a long way.
