Sleepy Hill Motor Inn

everything was very clean and bed comfortable. Room was large & had decent size fridge & crockery/cutlery etc making it easy to eat our weetbix etc for breaky. Complex was easy to find & was in a quiet area off the M1 & leaving the next day was a breeze heading back to the M1 & proceeding with our drive up the coast

Only issue was being woken at 5.30am by tradies leaving. Suggest that the management maybe group 'tradies/early leavers' in 1 section (there are a few) & couples like us who didn't arrive until 9.15pm after a long drive, could enjoy a bit of a sleep in. Bathroom needs a HUGE make over & unfortunately our room No:12 did not have a desk that I could work on, which is important to me, a coffee table would have been great as well

The staff were great. We requested an early check-in so we could freshen up before heading to a wedding. In spite of being fully booked the night before the motel staff went to the extra effort to have our room cleaned and ready for us on arrival. After a 5 hour drive to go into the room early was a greatly appreciated. Thank you. The 2 bedroom room is very spacious and was lovely and clean.

The motel staff can be a little hard to get hold of in the morning - obviously too busy cleaning to help out customer's requests like ours. We found the best time to call was later in the day.

Quiet location, all ground floor apartments (so no one above you), very generous with extra pillows, lots of shampoo and conditioner, large coffee cups, biscuits, decent wine glasses, large room, retro bathroom, Netflix! Comfy beds… all round just very nicely presented and with lots of thought put towards the comfort of guests.

Nothing really. Some motels in the area have on-site dining options which is helpful as there are very limited delivery options in Raymond Terrace. But I can’t complain as I knew this was the case!

Well, wasn't this a surprise! Booked online as it was halfway on my long journey home. Looks average on the outside but amazing on the inside 😀. My room was a good size and spotless inside. Beautifully presented and furnished. Comfortable bed, table and chairs, fridge, drawers and TV make up the living area. Then there is a small area before the bathroom with good cupboard space, an iron and ironing board, microwave oven and drawers containing crockery, cutlery, toaster and tea/coffee making essentials. The bathroom is a good size, also spotless and had a hygiene seal on the toilet seat! Hair dryer on the wall. Spacious shower and an excellent quality towel set was the final touch 👌. Has a beautiful outside pool with plenty of space around it and even a Bali hut. Also has a breakfast room but it was closed due to Covid reasons. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, can't compliment them enough 👍👍👍 This is now a go to place for me next time I'm in the area 😎

Such a lovely little place, we enjoyed our stay. Beautiful old building but feels clean and renovated. The beds are super comfortable and they even had flannelette sheets with a properly made bed so we slept so well. They gave a complimentary small champagne and a beer. It was very quiet.

Shower pressure was not great, there was no microwave or a bowl for our breakfast we were hoping to have in the room, But I feel like if we had asked, or explored the place more, maybe there was a kitchen somewhere on the property?

I would highly recomend Sleepy Hill Motor inn as a great stop over if you need a rest midway on your trip North Great location and very Quiet ,which surprised me as it is a pet friendly motel and most guests had dogs.Back door to room opens onto a nice shaded sitting srea with table and chairs. The bed was super comfortable so had a great nights sleep woke up fresh and ready to continue driving. :-)

I liked it because it provided a comfortable bed and clean facilities. It did what it was supposed to do and I don't think I need to be asked for more details. It was a clean motel with comfortable bed.

Having to complete a detailed survey which didn't provide an option to tick 'yes' after being given a question "Did the accommodation provide clean comfortable facilities?". Surveys which require a person to do more than tick a 'good' or 'satisfactory' box become annoying. I didn't like not having an option to provide simple feedback without detailed analysis. Just a simple question like "Were you happy with your stay?" would do, with an option to provide further detail. I don't want to be told my answer is "awesome" (!) when I was just an answer!!

The amenity, presentation and facilities were just as advertised. Good value for money.

The warnings about setting off the smoke detectors were way over the top and totally inconsistent. They were also inconsistent with the ambiance the place is trying to present. It made me feel that I had come to a motel that had problematic guests.

clean room. the bed was a bit hard - but you can never get this right in a hotel. It was comfortable enough for one night. Staff were friendly, and the hotel is in a good location. The bathroom was very clean - and had free shower gel and soap. there was free tea and coffee and also a microwave to use. The room was updated - with a newish bathroom, and had a lovely garden area next to it which we used for smoking. There were ash trays for us to use as well. There was also two arm charis to sit on and a small table with two chairs. Very comfortable room.

The bed was a bit hard - this is always a hit or miss at hotels.

Very generous sized rooms and layout. Great for a multi-generational family. Loved that all rooms had a tv! - great holiday treat. Comfy lounge and lots of storage space in all rooms. Clean and modern.

Would have been useful to have a tea towel and dishcloth in the kitchenette. Also, there was no extra linen provided. It would be great to have bulk shampoo, condition and soaps rather than the individual containers.
