The Branksome Hotel & Residences

Always stayed at The Langham when in Sýdney but needed to be closer to the Airport this trip, pleasure and a little work. We were pleasantly surprised with the standard of the hotel. We used the restaurant for a buffet breakfast which was yummy. Used the restaurant for dinner which was delightful & late evening we had some nibbles & wine which was appreciated. The staff were accommodating, polite and respectful. We will stay again.

Check in was very slow as there were a couple of trainees and it today's world with staff shortages we fully understand the effects of the COVID fallout.

Nate's East meets West Restaurant. The occasion was my wife’s belated 50th birthday, celebrated just with myself and our two adult children. First a mention to the staff attending us. They were so polite and attentive but not o.t.t. Their timing was spot on throughout the night. The main guy even wished my wife a happy birthday. Food was fantastic. Any variation asked for was greeted with a “yes we can do that”. The meals of each course all came out together. There was not one meal including deserts that was not fully consumed. Variety was excellent. When I saw the menu on the internet, I knew there was something each of my family would want to eat. As it turned out, There was no hesitation amongst any of us. And for the value…all put together, value was excellent. I rarely tip these days, but I on this occasion, I did not hesitate to do so. Such was the all round excellence of the evening. So, well done Nate’s.

Convenient for the airport. Excellent room, fully-equipped; large bathroom, good shower. Staff was very helpful, particularly when had problems getting into our room. Excellent breakfast.

Paying for the shuttle, which was late arriving to pick us up from the airport. Problems with getting into our room (had to be moved to another [better] room), and leaving the room (had to call someone to let us out). Had there been an emergency, we would have been trapped inside, unable to get out. Expensive - didn't feel that we got good value (except for breakfast).

One of the best hotels I've been to. I could pretty much live in an apartment like that despite its size. It is so well organized with plenty of attention to detail and high-quality appliances and furniture. Plenty of storage space, a very well equipped kitchen, big fridge, a great washing machine and a dryer. The location is pretty good too because the access is from a quiet, residential street. Free off-street parking is partially available as it is 3P 8 AM - 6 PM during weekdays and 8 AM - 12 PM on Sat.

Just very minor annoyances: * I had to pay $5 for parking to unpack my luggage (I think 10 mins is free but it is not enough to check-in and unpack) * rooftop bar was closed

Room was spacious making the stay comfortable and relaxing. I enjoyed having a walk in wardrobe that opens onto the bathroom , I found this space very useful for storing the suitcase to applying makeup. Washer and dryer combo was a brilliant idea; I must have overlooked this when booking and was impressed at having a dishwasher also. The neutral decor felt calming and relaxing. The staff were excellent . Close to public transport, facilities are fantastic I will definitely stay again.

This is a bit picky however some mold was in the shower( on the floor and lower wall tile); considering how clean the room was I was surprised . I also had to ask for teabags and milk to be refreshed which I felt award doing.

Stayed for 4 nights, predominately for a music festival at Centennial Park. Great hotel, facilities and staff are excellent and value for money being so close to the airport. Very spacious, had compared other accommodation and would get less paying more so this was definitely bang for buck with room to relax. Short walking distance to public transport although easier at times to catch an uber for the quick ride into central Sydney rather than the 40 minutes via tram/bus/train. Mascot (area where train station is located) has great local facilities and places to dine and enjoy. Handy having a kitchen + washer/dryer for an extended stay when travelling internationally - huge bonus having those extra facilities.

Beds were a little harder (topper was available) however prefer something a little softer although no complaints.

Rooms were lovely, rooftop bar was great ambiance and set up. Restaurant food was also delicious although took a little time with slow service but very friendly and clean.

Pool is open until 2200h and the maintenance staff told us to get out at 2145h and just hovered and watched and waited which was rude considering we got in late and just had dinner and had plenty of time for a swim. Spoke to the manager at the desk who offered a comp on some food but we just wanted to pass the feedback over. Wasn't trying to get anything for free but very rude of the maintenance team. Just come back at 2200h like the hours of operation show. Not a great first impression but the front desk staff handled it very well.

This place is a knockout. I don’t even know where to begin. I probably don’t need to as the many awards and glowing reviews speak for themselves. Everything has been thoughtfully considered and added up to a perfect stay. All the small things. Literally perfection. We’re still talking about it! The smallest details made it one of a kind for us - the room trays out front of the room avoids clutter in the halls. The huge walk-in wardrobe is just heaven for a family with 4 suitcases! The balcony is a proper balcony! The electric blackout blinds - yes, thank you! The kitchenette was a proper and brilliant kitchen. Private internal laundry with dryer. Auto lights in the bathroom. Bed was super comfy and roomy. Couch in lounge was soft and cosy. Televisions in each of the lobby levels while waiting for the lifts (something you don’t think you need until you have it!). Playground for the kids. Great lap pool (a little warmer by a few degrees would have made us last longer!). Dinner was beyond. Especially the lamb cutlets. Powerpoints in the restaurant booths were a really nice touch - especially to charge an iPad for a tired kid who has a flat battery! Breakfast buffet was great and one of the most affordable and reasonable we’ve ever had (even our 4 year old who eats just a few crumbs wasn’t charged an exorbitant fee - she was free of charge!) and when we asked for crispy bacon it was no probs. Staff were helpful and wonderful. Thank you for such a great stay. Well done.

The staff were helpful at the front desk when I requested assistance. Nice and convenient location to get to and from the domestic terminals. Most sound was well insulated too. Some noise from the freight train, bit not really much from airport. Balcony was generous, alas rain kept us off it for most of the visit. Loved the coffee table/desk. It made working on laptop on the lounge very easy while waiting for the person I had to pick up.

This feels picky of me.... but: My main dislike was the breakfast we picked from al a carte. It was a little lacking compared to other place I have had that particular meal. It was delicious... but felt lacking, faster and 'cheaper' than similar meals at cafes (Eggs Benedict with ham). The ham seemed like deli meat, not bacon or leg ham; no spinach, tomato or vegetable side. Herbs on top were dried ones, not fresh.

Exceptional property which felt like home. Lovely grounds and gardens. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Small things mean a lot. 11am checkout - thoughtful unique conveniences in our apartment - good quality appliances - great bathrooms - large balcony with pleasing views 4 television sets - soundproof double glazing Underground parking safe and easy to use Good quality kitchen ware but would have liked some tall glasses for my Gin and tonics Very happy with the experience and we will stay regularly from now on
