CKS Sydney Airport Hotel

It's a 15 minute walk from the international terminal to this hotel. There's a pedestrian walkway over all the parking areas to the bridge. After a long flight to Sydney, I enjoyed this walk in both directions. Near the hotel is a pretty good restaurant for dinner.

My room was on the small side. The buffet breakfast of meat, eggs and bread included no fresh fruit. I took a pass on it because it didn't look worth the $30au price.

Location to the airport - 10mins away from Sydney international airport; staff - friendly and helpful with 24hr availability at the reception; free shuttle bus to Sydney airport provided with the earliest pick-up at 4.50 AM; staff will assist you if you need a taxi ride (third party) to the airport earlier than the shuttle bus ($20 one way, accept either card and cash payment)

It was a comfortable bed. Air conditioning worked well. All ammenities and condiments were all there ; soap, shampoo, confectioner, sanitary ect. Staff were extremely helpful and were there for any need and also let us stay an hour over checkout. Thank you!!!

Noise from other guests in the hallway. That can’t be helped I understand that as guests coming from different times zones. It’s 1pm in Sydney but for them it may be 9am. It’s something that can’t be helped and it’s only a minor and occasional inconvenience. Parking was also a little scary, especially if parking isn’t your best driving ability.

Very close to the International Airport (we got a taxi there $25 but walked back to the Airport the next day, about 20 mins and easy via the new footpath). Room was larger than what our next choice of hotel could offer, at not much extra price. Staff were helpful and understanding about my mistake in the booking.

Really, it was good overall, but one thing I'd change is a small easy mod to the bed: It's made as a king size but it is two single bed ensembles pushed together and made up as one. They meet well, so the join isn't too noticeable, but putting a memory-foam topper over them would make the join completely unnoticeable. (We had one of these at home for visitors and it was good). A new carpet in the lift would improve the aesthetics, but these are really quite minor quibbles.

Staff were very friendly & helpful, price was very reasonable with location great for travel to/ from airport. Continental breakfast was very nice!

Not really the hotels fault but worth clarifying re shuttle service if wanting to use. I had emailed and you as arriving late at the airport (10:20pm) but couldn’t get in touch at that time via phone re shuttle service and pick up. Anyways, I then found it really hard to get a taxi and was spoken to rudely by numerous taxi drivers due to closeness of accomodation to the airport so ended up organising an Uber.

we were surprised when we arrived as it is a fairly basic looking, 2 storey brick building - not the high rise that I had expected (not based on anything, just what I was imagining). However , the staff were friendly and efficient, and our room was comfortable with thoughtful touches like good-sized mugs to drink tea and coffee (provided) out of, and some UHT milk in the fridge. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed a good night's sleep in the hotel.

Our windows weren't secure (didn't lock properly) - not ideal for a ground-floor room in a slightly dicey area of town. However, the staff responded quickly when we brought the matter to their attention, and fixed the issue quickly. We were surprised that we had to pay an extra $20 to park for the night! That's Sydney, I suppose.

Staff were accommodating to my injury and changed our room to a ground floor family room. Bed was comfortable but I'm used to a firmer mattress. Breakfast available had a wide range of choices. Airport shuttle was convenient. Location to train station also convenient.

Bathroom was difficult to use on crutches as it is very narrow and no grab rail climbing into bathtub to use shower. We could hear dripping during the night and discovered it was the airconditioning unit leaking into a kettle behind the lounge - right next to a power point.

Being noted that the hotel has no elevator, I asked to arrange a room at the ground level in our booking. However, I received no reply from the hotel. When we arrived at night, the receptionist gave us a room at the upper level, it meant we have to move our several baggage upstairs. I asked if they have read our email and they replied they didn’t check email usually. Finally they arranged a room for us at the ground level. The room is spacious and neat. The bathroom was big too.

The lightings were insufficient, quite dark at night.

I booked this room at the last minute for my daughter who was travelling solo and arrived very late due to international flight cancellations. She has a disability which affects ease of movement and therefore I requested a ground floor room. Not only did they give her a ground floor room but gave her a disability accessible room. She was particular happy about having a chair in the shower. She also booked a shuttle the following day to return to the airport and the staff were kind enough to ring when the shuttle arrived to make sure she didn't miss it.

The location was perfect for the Sydney International terminal. Around 5 minutes and $10 with a rideshare fare. The room was clean and comfortable, and my king room was very large. Great value for a short stay near the airport.

The room was a bit shabby and dated in parts, showing is age. Still clean but could use a freshen up. The bathroom while clean was quite dated and extremely tiny. Water pressure wasn't great. The huge room I had was lit by a single downlight which was definitely not sufficient. And my "king" bed was 2 singles pushed together, and not overly comfortable. Still, good for the price.
