Hotel Royal Ricc

Location was great, clean rooms, lots of choice for breakfast.

Lift was not working for the three nights we were there, walking up to the fourth floor became tedious. Bed was not comfortable, very lumpy.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Royal Ricc in Brno, and I must say, it was an enchanting experience from start to finish. The moment I stepped into the lobby, I was immediately captivated by the hotel's exquisite interior design. The interior of Hotel Royal Ricc is a harmonious blend of modern elegance and classic charm. The choice of rich, earthy colors and tasteful furnishings exudes a sense of opulence, making me feel like royalty from the moment I arrived. The Royal Ricc is centred right in the heart of Brno just off Zelny Trh (Vegetable Market). Both cathedral and castle are within easy walking distance as is the railway station. The reception area has a fine vaulted ceiling - setting the tone of the historic rooms above. I had a spacious front facing room - with painted ceiling overlooking the street and an outside bar opposie, I was worried about street noise late at night -but the sound proofing is very effective as I heard no outside noise. The bed was very comfortable and the en suite bathroom (with bath) was great. Breakfast is standard buffet fare - more than enough to set me up for the day.

more plugs in the room, and the lighting could be better if you wanted to ead for a long time (but why would you as the city is fanastic)

We walked with luggage from the train station to the Royal Ricc - fine for us but maybe not for everyone. Its location is convenient and walking distance to may sights and shops plus eating places. The check-in was fine and courteous. The hotel itself is charming with dated furniture and plenty of wood; i.e. has character. That's what I liked about it the most. Our room was up several flights of stairs to get our exercise - we didn't use the available lift. The room was fine and spacious; old furniture - with character. The bathroom was great as was the toilet and shower. The bed was fine & comfortable for us. The breakfast was fine for my wife and I. No issue with food availability and was fresh and varied. All in all, a very nice 2 night stay in the Royal Ricc. Would we go back there? Yes we would.

It's a great location especially if one doesn't have a car. They have a retrofitted elevator so it's very convenient. The rooms are exceptionally charming with wooden paneling and wooden panelled ceilings. It did have air conditioning, however, we didn't have to turn it on. The water temperature and pressure was excellent as well.

I'm not a fan of spring beds. They do have 2 individual mattresses pushed into king bed formation, so at least moving around I didn't disturb my partner but they are noisy and I found the a bit uncomfortable. The bedding and pillows were great though.

We loved our stay at the Royal Ricc. What a sweet hotel! Located close to all the attractions, it was much more interesting that the larger places with the boring, beige rooms. The building is from the 17th Century and even though the furnishings are more recent, we loved the décor--stained glass windows, murals on the walls, antique fireplaces, etc. The double room we had was large, clean, and very comfortable. We had a fantastic view at the buildings across the street from the front of the hotel, so the morning sunlight highlighting the Art Nouveau facades was a treat. It was also very quiet. We didn't even know there were other guests until breakfast the next morning, which was quite varied, with breads, lunch meats, scrambled eggs, meats, grilled veggies, cereals, yogurts, fruits, jams, plenty of condiments, coffee, tea, and some really delicious sweets, including the traditional Czech honey cream cake. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Would definitely stay there again.

The staff were nice and very helpful, the hotel was quiet, the location was superb (walking distance to main points and close to tram connections), breakfast was great, the bed super comfortable and the room spacious, spotless clean, plenty of space for your things, and even has a desk that you can use for remote work.

The wifi was good but it was unprotected network, it may be good if it were password protected.

The decor is lovely. You feel like you are staying in royal lodgings. It is easy walking to the main plazas, the castle, tram transportation, and the university. Great restaurants nearby. The reception staff was incredibly well-prepared to help with any questions. They even arranged for me to bring my car up to the front to load and unload my luggage before going to the public parking garage.

While I loved the design on the windows, I would have loved to be able to look out onto the square below.

It's conveniently located, right next to cabbage market Square, 5.minutes walking distance from the main freedom square. Nice restaurants, bars cafes all around. Town hall 2 mins walk though it was closed when we visited it. Lovely hotel, clean rooms, all the receptionists spoke good English and were helpful with taxi bookings and all. Rooms are spacious and clean.

Though its 7-10 mins walking distance from main train station, if you have big luggage, it would be little hard as its a gradual slope to reach the cabbage market and the hotel. However it should not be a deterent. The hotel makes up for it..

This hotel's main selling point is the location. You are right in the city center, walking distance to absolutely everything. The rooms are in an old fashion design, so it is very photogenic and pleasant.

The bathroom really needs reconstruction, we are deducting all of our points because of that - we could hardly take a shower, the water had no pressure and the showerhead was very "tired". Too bad, because of this, my husband wouldn't want to come back.
