OREA Congress Hotel Brno

The staff was very friendly and helpfull, I really must reccommend the excelent breakfest with a ton of choices, plus a REAL coffee from a barista on the left from the entry (one nitpicky breakfest comment below), really close to the exhibition area, one of the best choices if you go there.

One minor nitpick: the "juice" at the breakfest from self-filling glass containers (interesting feature) was so terribly dilluted with water, that is basically WAS water. Even the manually refilled "smoothies". There is a smaller machine in the back that serves fruit "nectar" that actually has decent fruit taste. Why so much water? I don't get it. If I want juice with water, I pour juice and I pour water. When I want juice, I want juice, not water with flavoring. Other than that, the breakfest is excelent.

The rooms were really big and bed was really nice Breakfast had really good options, also local choices. The staff was really helpful with our questions and were always happy to help especially the guy with glasses, who spoke also french :)

The room was hot eventhough we had aircon, but maybe it was because outside was over 30 degrees. But this was also kind of our fault because you could get help with it (there was a note that if there is any problem come to ask help) but we came back everyday so late so we were tired to ask about it....

The staff is very pleasant, helpful, and an overall delight. The room I had had an amazing view (top floor, view of the city centre, with a balcony), comfortable bed, desk, ...

the shower could be cleaned better, there were some hair (normal, and "the other"), and it didn't drain (but that was taken care of once I pointed it out, so... all good) the breakfast was ... ok, but did expect better the mini bar is open, and the light in it always on, so either you have cold things, or a light all night long :) (yeah, I'm nitpicking now)

Breakfast was just amazing, very nice design of the rooms and professional hotel service. Great accessibility to the center even by foot and perfect place to stay if you go to some expo since Vystaviste is just next to the hotel. Parking was easy to find right next to the hotel and neighborhood feels safe and quiet.

One small thing to consider: room was a bit hot and it was not possible to lower the temperature as much as we wanted due to the central control system set up for the whole hotel. It was 27°C in April (you can set it only +-5°C, so I set it to 22°C). When I wanted to open the window, the heating started working (it´s logical) but it was so loud it was not possible to sleep... It was ok for one night, but for more nights it can´t be uncomfortable I guess. As well as I think it is not really necessary to have minimum temperature 22°C even during the winter, but it was end of the April...

I liked how this hotel was renovated, the rooms looked so modern thanks to it. The rooms were clean and the soaps in the bathroom smelled so good. They even had hair conditioner that is not so common in hotels. Hotel was quiet enough for a good sleep. The old town is in a walkable distance.

I didn't like at all that while looking for a place to stay this hotel had tons of so beautiful pictures about the hotel rooms that I booked a room immediately but when we arrived we realized that there are also not renovated rooms and we apparently booked that one. Yes among tons of beautiful pictured there are few pictures about not renovated rooms (two pic maybe) but they don`t stand out. The staff was kind enough to upgrade us when we paid extra so we ended up in a nice room. The staff also said that this happens a lot so my advise for the hotel would be to clearly mark out renovated and not renovated rooms.

The hotel is nice with professional vibe and really good breakfast (not amazingly mind-blowing but still really good). The room was spacious and pretty with modern furniture. Everything was clean and quiet.

I searched for hotels in Brno and selected this because on their profile it said "central location". This is not the case as the hotel is off centre and it takes 30+ minutes by foot to get there. I think the price is big high compared to the value you´re getting. Brno is not New York but the price is as if it was.

Breakfast was the same every day, so if you stay a longer time period it can get a little repetitive, but does have a good selection. Room service was at a different time each day, it could be 11am or 5pm, but they did generally come at some point, and did a good job. Would be nice if it was around the same time so you can plan to go out. Food in the restaurant was really expensive compared to all other local restaurants so generally it was empty which is a missed opportunity. It would be nice to have a coffee machine in the room, although there is a basic kettle to make a cup of tea so better than nothing.

Great location next to the exhibition center. Modern interior. Breakfast is decent, although dining area was very crowded in the morning. Rooms on higher floors mostly have balconies and seating areas, but not all of them. USB sockets and wireless charging built into the desk. Cleanliness 8/10. Ground floor restaurant is OK too.

This year I got a smaller room than last year, without a balcony and seating area. Not a big deal for a short stay. Slow elevators. On the weekends street parking is free so unguarded hotel parking feels overpriced.

Beautiful, not very large room with a stylish bathroom. Amenities provided, everything very clean. Breakfast is amazing: great choice and variety, along with impeccable quality. The bar/restaurant is quite pricey (for Czech Republic), but the quality is very high, with decent portion sizes. The best thing about the hotel is the staff, receptionists are always smiling and forthcoming, but the best part are the waiters&waitresses at the bar/restaurant. Sasha is amazing, and her male counterparts are pleasant as well!

Rooms are very nice with possibility of tea and coffee prep., nice bathroom. Breakfest was excellent.

Parking is extremely stupid and annoying system. Let us put a side price for a parking which is quite high, but OK. But, hotel parking is strange system where you park, take a card and when you need to leave parking space you have to pay on aoutomat in front of the hotel (not on the parking lot) and when you come back you have to take new card and pay again. I never saw this system nowhere in chain hotels on this planet. It is stupid, annoying and nightmare for accountants (I had 6 cards for 3 days stay). Crazy!
